“You can’t just leave.”

“It’s not impossible,” I muttered, rubbing my sore cheek. Maybe I was getting slightly deranged but he could’ve held back a little, considering the fact I wasn’t even in the right state of mind to begin with. “We just need a plan. Sneak out when the coast is clear or something. Maybe set a decoy. You should brief me for that, since I’m not really experienced—”

“You shouldn’t leave, is what I’m trying to say here. And don’t go around with all that ‘we’ stuff, alright? I want no part in the mess you’re definitely gonna cause later,” he sighed as he sat on the edge of the bed.

My shoulders slumped in defeat at his immediate refusal of my escape plan. I trudged over to the bed and kneeled in front of him, tilting my head slightly to get a better look at his eyes. “Look, this is probably the last thing you want to hear right now, but you seriously need your help to get out of here. The last time I met that man, I nearly killed him, and that’s crazy. But that wasn’t me. I was someone else when it happened, and now he’s looking for me and I…” I let out a deep breath, “I don’t want to die. That’s it. Do you get that?”

V ran his fingers over his mouth, judging me. He asked, “What kind of help do you even need from me?”

“Anything that’ll help me escape. Maybe talk to them about letting me go? They won’t even consider any nonsense coming out of my mouth but maybe if it’s you it’ll be different?”

He groaned and slowly massaged his temple as if my idea had taken a jab into his very soul. “Jin…” he dropped his face into his hands. “There was a reason I’m not under them anymore, you know. What makes you think they’d ever reason with me?”

“Well…yeah, I figured, but whatever happened between you guys can’t possibly be worse than what I did,” I looked at him for confirmation but he didn’t say anything, kept his face hidden. “It can’t be worse,” I repeated. “…can it?”

“If you think that you’re gonna get killed for what you’ve done, they’re gonna have to come up with something worse for me.”

“… what did you do?”

“I beat up a few people.”

“Who exactly did you beat up?” I asked.

His silence was enough to confirm my suspicions and I had to muster the little amount of energy I had in me to not return the favor and slap him.

I grabbed both his arms and pushed them away so that I could see his face. V widened his eyes in surprise but didn’t try to free himself. “You did not get in a fight with that big boss person! Tell me you didn’t—!” I stuttered, couldn’t even comprehend the gravity of the information I was implying I knew.

“Don’t make it into a big deal.”

“How can I not make it into a big deal? Did you ever stop and think that maybe I would’ve wanted to know? What was keeping you from telling me this, huh? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

“Because it doesn’t. Matter,” he said, tone defiant. And just like that, all the questions, how, why, about what he had done to make him an enemy to his former organization, came to a halt in my brain. His eyes dared me to interrogate him some more but we both knew that that was the end of our conversation on that particular subject.

I heard someone clear their throat and both our heads snapped in the direction of the sudden noise. Namjoon was leaning against the doorframe with his hands in his pockets. “I hope I wasn’t… interrupting anything,” he said, staring blankly at my hands which were still gripping onto V’s arms. His eyes then shifted to me. “Are you done packing?”

I let go of V and quickly stood up, suddenly feeling miniscule under his accusing stare.

“Don’t think that I don’t know what you’re trying to do! If you think that I’m going to leave this room then you’re wrong,” I spat out in between sniffles. “Aren’t you my bodyguard? Aren’t bodyguards supposed to make people they’re guarding feel, you know, safe?”

“Jin, surely I’d never lead you to any danger whatsoever.”

“Then why is he here?”

Chapter 22: Jin wasn't weak, he needed a strong reason why he had to fight. Such as to protect someone who got bullied or be provoked by his enemy. And Namjoon knew it exactly how to train Jin. Well, Jin should be warmed up before ready to the real fighting.
Jinkook scenes, awww cute!! They're training together. I repeat my mantra 'JK had falled for Jin' :D
but Jin still didn't notice it or he's just too innocent about love life.
JK felt happy just because Jin hugged him and Jin loved to see his hair..

Chapter 21: Wow, there were many wounds in Hoseok's body. Maybe he's worst between the Cypher, but he's really tough guy and cared towards Jin. He was still alive and stayed healthy, without fears and doubts in his eyes.
Hoseok was right, Jinnie. They're all dangerous. Be carefull, Jin.

Chapter 19: Jin had known more about backstory of V and Jimin from Namjoon's explainations. I still don't understan by C7 big boss came to Jin's house. If C7 knew Jin's family, they couldn't harm or hurt Jin
