“Alright! Let’s get started,” V said, shedding off his jacket as he walked over to sit on the couch. I removed my jacket and followed suit, fully expecting the meeting that was going to start soon. The other two rushed in to join us, choosing to sit on the floor with their elbows on the coffee table, miraculously already changed into their sweaters.

 I almost jumped when V clasped his hands loudly. He started, “I would just like to say that this meeting is held for one reason and one reason only.”Yes, I was aware. I was practically vibrating with anticipation for Jungkook’s side of the story that could potentially help me understand a little bit better who that man was.

“And it is of great importance to our favorite little princess over here, and I hope we can get it done as soon as possible.”

I nodded frivolously, totally agreeing with what he said.

He then turned to me. “Okay, so we’ll start the training right now, okay?”

Wait. Training?  

“You’re prioritizing the training?” I asked disbelievingly, turning to Jungkook to see what he thought of the decision. He looked just as surprised as I did which gave me some peace of mind, knowing that the decision wasn’t really unanimous.

Jungkook’s navy blue sweater was at least two sizes too big and the way he was trying to hide his face behind his hands made him look like a scared little puppy. “But… but V,” he mumbled through his sweater covered hand, “there’s a lot of things I have to tell him first.”

“Oh come on, we don’t have time for all that,” V waved a dismissive hand at the boy. “If he plans on living for more than a week, he needs to know all the basics at least. So I’ll take it upon myself to teach him the ropes!”

“Whoa hey so you’re saying that you will be the only one training him?” Jimin asked.

“Yeah, you got a problem with that?”

“Hell yeah I got a problem with that!” he retorted, getting up to his feet and rushing over to sit next to me. “I should get to train him, too. I’m just as experienced in this stuff as you, alright?”

V rolled his eyes and said, “I was with Cypher when you were still in your school uniform. I think I should do the teaching here.”

“Oh, please!” Jimin swung his arm defiantly, nearly smacking me across the face, “what you did with Cypher Jungkook and I did as well. Right, Jungkook?”

The boy sitting on the floor widened his eyes at the mention of his name in their debate. “Oh! Yeah, that’s true.”

“If that’s the case then I want Jungkook to train me,” I spoke up, leaving the other two looking at me like I was the most ridiculous creature they had ever seen. Jungkook himself couldn’t look more surprised.

V said, “Jungkook? What exactly do you want him to teach you?”

Jimin grabbed my arm, shaking it violently. “Seriously, princess. Whatever he teaches you, I can do it like a hundred times better, trust me!”

“Fine, then why don’t all three of you teach me? Better?”

V had raised his index finger, most probably to object the idea of being put on the same level as Jungkook, but I was already on my feet and fast walked my way to Jungkook’s room. The boy stumbled to his feet and jogged after me, leaving the other two behind.

When I entered the room, the first thing I noticed was the bedroom wall which was decorated with a myriad of posters of metal bands I never knew existed; some of them had the corners peeling off slightly. The adjacent wall had his memories stuck to it; polaroids from his school days and a huge collage of him and his friends that occupied most of the wall.
