Chapter 2
Sunset at JaoprayaAom walks to her bedroom to change. It isn't a big room and the decoration are very simple, only 2-3 pieces of furnitures so the room would look more spacious. One side of the window is the view of the river with white flower curtain. Another side of the window is the view of orange trees that are fill with oranges in every branch. The bed is cover with clean white sheets. One side of the night stands are fill with books, another side of the night stand has a golden tray with a jasmine garland on it.
Aom quickly change her outfit and before she goes out of her room, she pull out a key under her pillow and unlock the drawer of her night stand. She took out an old album of pictures. It contains her childhood picture. As she turn to the page she saw a picture of a couple, the woman is sitting in a chair dress in a golden thai style dress and the man is fully dress in his salior uniform. Under the picture it written:
Lieutenate Charasinturat Manaying under that it said Mrs.Orn Manaying
The last page of the album contain a picture of a little girl about 4 years old, sitting on the same chair of the previous picture, smiling and under that picture written:

Everytime she looks at these pictures, it give her a joyful feeling but at the same time a bitter feeling as well. However, when she's alone in her room without letting her mother knows it, she like to pull these pictures out and think back to when her family was full of joy. It is a reminder that at one point in time, she gets to feel what having a loving father feels like.
Aom's Dad came from a rich family, he got transfer when he was a sailor student to Tatein City, a rural city a little outside of Bangkok Noi (or known today as Bangkok). It is there that he met her mother, they got married after he graduated, without the attend of any relative from her dad side of the family at all. After her parents have Aom, her father has to go study in Italy for 5 years arrage by his family.
