Foreword
“I love you”
“I love you more, Pie.” Kim whispered into her ears. Pie giggled when she picked her up from the couch and hugged her. “I have an appointment with Dad and Aunt In.” She looked at her watch and put her down. “Drive safely, okay?” Kim kissed her forehead before leaving the room.
Kim stepped into the restaurant and look for her dad and In. She spotted her father talking to a waitress whose leaning all over him. Kim’s dad loves that kind of affection from girls but suddenly stop talking when he saw her daughter approaching. “Hello Dad. You seems to be well entertained.” Kim kissed him on the forehead and took the seat. What father could ask for? She’s a sweet and loving daughter. Kim glanced at the waitress and smiled.
Aunt In and Zee arrived just in time. In looked at the waitress while Zee greeted Kim with hug. “Evening bro,” she said.
“Good evening as well. How’s Beam?” she replied. When they took their seat, the waitress is still standing and looking at Kim’s dad.
“Is she your lover, honey?” she said. Kim and Zee grinned while Kim’s dad choked on his water.
They set their table napkins on their lap. “What’s up?” Kim sipped her red wine.
“Well,” Kim’s dad said. He wiped his lips and glance at In. “We have big investors coming from different countries.”
“Whoa!” Kim and Zee exclaimed.
“We would like you to do something for us.” In said.
The waitress went back and started placing the foods on their table. “Is there anything you need, Sir?” She asked while pouring Kim’s glass with wine.
“Hey you Mister Buraphan! Stop staring at her . You erted old-man!” In yelled. Before In could grab more attention from the other customers the waitress walked off in a rage. Kim and Zee laughed.
“Who do you call ert you curly old woman!” He retorted.
They were all laughing and teasing each other. They were a picture of a complete happy family. There’s a father, mother and kids. “Since both of you are going to graduate after five months-” Mr. Buraphan said.
A waitress suddenly appeared in their table pouring the glass of Zee and Kim’s glass and left. Zee thanked her but went back to their conversation.
“We would like you to move out in Thailand,” In continued.
Kim stopped eating and looked at his dad and Aunt In. “What do you mean moving out?”
“You can’t be serious! Ma? I can’t leave Beam here!” Zee joined.
“We want you to be safe.” Mr. Buraphan answered.
Kim set down her spoon and fork. She had lost her appetite. “Safe? What are you talking about dad?”
“Just do what we told you. Okay? You can prepare yourselves within five months. Pie and Beam can understand the situation,” Mr. Buraphan answered.
“We have to be sure that both of you are safe. We will ensure that Beam and Pie will be safe here. Just please. For now, listen to us,” In joined. Kim didn’t want to hear more she finished her glass of wine and walked out.
“Kim!” Mr. Buraphan called.
“I’ll chase her. Let’s discuss this some other time,” Zee said and followed Kim.

Pie’s phone rang but when she was about to pick it up it dropped. Kim was calling her. Oh? She dropped it. She thought.
Kim was driving her car when she suddenly felt dizzy and her vision started to blur. She stopped the car along the side of the highway to rest before driving back to Pie. Her phone was ringing when she rested her head on the stirring wheel.
“Pie…” she said trying to stay conscious. She searched for her phone and looked at the highway. The road is still busy.
“Kim?” Pie said as she answered her phone.
“Pie…” her voice is shaky and very low.
“Kim? Are you okay? Kim?” She could hear cars and horns blaring. “Are you driving? Kim? Hello?!”
“No. I’m in the…corner…of…our…shop…”
