Donghae’s POV:

Three days had passed, but her words still lingers in my mind. Like a soft music during rainy days, soothing your souls with its melody and lyrics.

“Forget what we had on past. Let’s start creating and collecting happy memories again”, those words from her sent another undying hope to my heart. I love repeating those words inside my crazy head.

>smiling all by myself< “Happy memories again...” I repeated.

She changed from the way her dress, the way she carries herself. She’s more feminine and mature now. But the way she talks remains the same, as if an angel is singing a heavens song. Her sweet voice tickles my ears.

I perceived that she’s strong now, though she’s still a cry baby.

“I started missing her because of thinking too much about her.”  >ruffling my hair<

She asked me for my mobile number before we parted that day. After that I heard nothing about her. She never contacted me either. Because of too much happiness overflowing in and out of me, I forgot to ask back for his number. Alas!

I wanted to try my luck again, hoping we’ll collide again, but I’m way too luckless.

I didn’t find her.

Jessica’s POV:

Three days had gone.

“Donghae-ah, forget what we had on past. Let’s start creating and collecting happy memories again.” I couldn’t believe that I said those words. I still didn’t overcome the feelings I had that day. I forgave him and decided to throw away all the memories of us that hurt us before and start all over again.

I asked for his phone number, did I? >scratching my head<

Yes, I asked for his number. Well, where the hell is it now? Where did I place it?

Since the day I asked for it, I didn’t give him a call. I’m way to busy and I really forgot about it.

I should find it tonight, so I can call him.

“Is it in my bag?” >rummaging the things inside my big bag<

“It’s not here. GOD! Where is it? Lead my way to find it, please.” >saying a sincere prayer<

I’m walking my way to the living when I saw it glued above the telephone directory beside the phone. I jumped my way to it.

“Thank God!” that’s all I said.

Feeling happy, I dialled his number.

Ring.    Ring.    Ring.    Ring.

In between phone rings, I crossed my fingers

Phone conversation between Jessica and Donghae:

J: “H...hello?” >sounded uncertain<

D: “Hello?” >answered huskily<

J: “Oh, it’s me, Jessica.” >Surprised by Donghae’s voice<

D: “Pretty Sica!” >blurted out upon hearing it’s her<

J: “Did I interrupt your sleep?” >sounded concern<

D: “No. It’s okay. I actually waiting for your call since you asked for it.” >still lying on the bed<

J: “Ah, sorry if it’s just now. I’m totally busy with my work and I just remember it now that I asked for your number the last time.” >seating with crossed fit in the couch while twirling her hair<

D: >scratching his hair at the back of the head< “Is that so? Well, it’s fine with me. You just got home?”

J: “Yeah”

D: “Do you take a rest when you got home? Do you eat dinner already?” >a ton of care in his voice<

J: “Yes. I feel bored, so I call you up.” >smiling alone<

D: >blushed< “Then, let’s chit-chat.” >smiling alone, too<

J: “What do you want to talk about?” >crossing her fingers, hoping he’ll thinking the same<

D: “Maybe, a serious talk between us.” >fiddling his left thumb and forefinger, feeling nervous<

J: “What about us?” >pretending empty-headed<

D: “You know you and me, me and you.” >starting to become sheepish<

J: “C’mon. Go straight to the point.” >feeling pissed, forcing him to start the talk<

D: >stammering< “Ah...Uhm...I wanted to know if you got into relationship after we broke up?” >very straight to the point<

J: >shocked< “N...no. I didn’t have time for that since I’m busy from work.”

D: >ignoring her answer< “Well, then, do you ever got attracted to someone?” >he asked again without hesitation<

J: “No.” >she replied shortly<

D: “Is that true?” >ensuring the response<

J: >totally pissed< “Are you deaf? I said NO. A big NO!” >gently raised her voice<

D: >laughing< “I’m not deaf. I just want to make sure of it.” >sounded teasing<

J: “Why are you laughing all of a sudden?” >her forehead started to crumple<

D: >couldn’t stop laughing< “Is my princess pissed off?”

Silence.    Silence.    Silence.

For five minutes all they heard is the breathing of each other. Donghae broke the buzzing silence.

D: >in a serious voice< “Are you still there?”

J: “Hmmm.” >she hummed in response<

D: “I’m sorry. I just wanted to make you smile. I didn’t know you will take it seriously.” >apologetic<

J: “Ah, and now you’re saying sorry again. And though you hurt me before and annoyed me today, I’m still in love with you!” >she blurted out without knowing, carried away by her feeling<

D: “Ah...Uhm...” >inarticulate<

J: “And now you’re just stammering like a mute. You have your mouth, use it!” >raising her voice again<

D: >sounded incredulous< “D...did I heard right? You’re s...still in love with me?” >forcing his mouth to come out with words<

J: “Do you want me to repeat it?” >she offered<

D: “Yes, please.”

J: “You’re really stupid LEE DONGHAE! I said I STILL LOVE YOU. Get it?” >she smirked<

BLAAAAAAAAM!

D: >fell out of bed< “Yes! Yes! She still loves me. She still loves me.” >singing out of tune<

J: “What’s with that noise over there?” >ignoring Donghae’s singing skills<

D: “I fell out of bed.” >he said shyly<

J: >shocked< “I didn’t know that’s the effect of saying I LOVE YOU to you.” >she tried to piss him<

D: “YES!” >he response zealously< “So, you + me= together again?” >ensuring again<

J: >she grinned< “so, you thought now I’ll give to you my heart as easy as that?” >she raised her eyebrow<

D: >slowly become serious< “If wooing you is the way to win your heart again, I will do. And if I need to dive in 10 seas and cross 10 mountains to have your heart again, I will do. I can do anything just for you.”

J: >laughing< “Are you serious? Are you that persistent to win back my heart again?”

D: >seated at the edge of the bed< “The first day I saw you in your father’s company, I was really attracted to you, head over heels others says. When we reached high school, I did everything to win your precious heart. When I tasted the sweet victory of all my hardships, all I ever wanted is to take care of you. Love you in the million or billion or more than that ways. I wished you’re my other half soon, the one who’s beside me when I open my eyes every morning. The one I kiss before I sleep every night. From that day until now, you’re the only girl loved by my heart. The only girl who’s my heart looking for when we parted. And now that I have another chance in my hands, I won’t let it slip away.” >uttered without pausing, revealing all his heart<

J: >started to sob< “Though I hurt you that day, you’re still determined to pursue your dreams with me. Though I’m the one who dumped you, you never get tired and still followed me here. Though I left you, I never feel I was alone.”

D: >started to sob too< “Remember that day under the rain, before I turned my back to you, those words I uttered?” > tried to reminded her<

J: >closed her eyes, her mind tried to travel back to the past< “Yes, I’ll be watching over you... I’ll be there forever... so, don’t you’re alone...” > she spoke with all her heart<

D: >feeling happy< “I thought you already forgot.” >smiled<

J: >smiling< “We’re like crazy, laughing and crying at the same time.” >started to laugh<

D: Jung Jessica, I love you. >he whispered valorously<

J: >laughing at the top of her lungs< “My answer is still hanging. I couldn’t answer now.”

D: “I understand. I’ll start wooing you tomorrow immediately, so that you could answer me.”  >he said impish<

J: “Should I play hard to get?” >she said mischievously<

D: >pouted his lips< “Ah, don’t play too hard.”

J: “I will not torture you, so don’t feel afraid.” >smirked again<

D: “Well, I wish you’re not dense anymore.” >he joked<

J: >yawned< “I’m not dense; I’m just being so innocent before.” >she defensively said<

D: “Fine. Ah, seems like you’re sleepy since you yawn already. Should we go to sleep now?”

J: “Yes.” >nodding at the same time<

D: “Okay. Good night pretty Jessica. See you in dream land.” >he mumbled<
