Jessica is living in an average type of family with her father who works in an office and her mother who’s a plain housewife. She grew up to be the only child in the family after her mother’s three consecutive miscarriages before she was finally born. Her parents always told her that her birth was a blessing.

Being the only daughter, she always gets what she wants. She called herself a brat back then when she was in grade school. But her brat attitude disappeared when she experienced bullying by other kids. She defined herself as an ice princess who has a loving heart behind her old-fashioned get up. And as she grew older, her life’s getting tougher. Her cold treatment to others is her defend mechanism to avoid being rejected and being hurt by people who judged her by the cover.

All she ever wanted was to have a safe haven—a peaceful sanctuary for herself. But her life turns into a total chaos when she chose to enter SM University—the famous school among elites. And her tragic tale started…

There was this handsome boy who loves to piss her off. He always called her ugly, snob and cold-hearted. But she always ignored him though she wanted to give him a hard punch straight to his face if she only given a chance. But her temper exceeded to its limit when he shouted to the world that she’s an “ugly witchy granny” that one day she found herself wrecking the windshield of his car with a baseball bat.

The laughter turns into shock.

Everyone’s eyes grew wide.

“Call me that again and I’ll break your face, you arrogant jerk!” Jessica exclaimed straight to his face before running away. She thought of running away for her own life before the jerk thinks of a revenge plan.

Jessica was panting when she reached the locker area. She quickly approached her best friend to share the great news.

“Tiff…” she called out her nickname to catch her attention. Tiffany turned around so quickly.

“Why are you breathing heavily?” Tiffany asked, concerned.

“I wrecked the arrogant jerk’s car.” Jessica happily revealed the news about the battle she just won. She couldn’t hide the feeling of victory inside her. She felt so triumphant.

But her best friend’s face looks terrified. “What d—did you j—just did!? You wrecked his c—car?!” she queried still couldn’t believe it.

Jessica cleared before saying yes and laughed devilishly. “Bwuhahahaha…you heard it right, Tiff.”

“Oh, gosh, you’ll be a dead meat, Jessie. I’m sure about that.”

“Why?” She creased her forehead, totally clueless.

“That jerk who loves to piss you off is President’s Lee Soo Man’s only son,” Tiffany spilled out the beans to her innocent best friend.

“You might be expelled once Mr. Lee heard the bad news.” (Lee Soo Man here is the founder and the president of the SMU and he is Donghae’s father)

To her dismay, Jessica immediately heard the crumbling sound of her dreams shattering into zillion pieces very soon because of her stupid action. ‘Noooooooooo’ she thought, shouting silently inside her head.

“Ottokae? Ottokae?!!” she asked in panic but Tiffany just shrugged her shoulders.

‘Think fast, Jessica. You’re dreams is in your hands’ she thought, feeling totally pressured.

“Hey witchy granny,” greeted by the boy standing few meters before them, wearing a disdain look.

Tiffany hastily elbowed Jessica who‘s busy messing her hair while thinking of a better solution to escape. “The jerk is here,” she whispered.

Jessica nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard her best friend’s sudden announcement. She was on pins and needles while looking straight at him.

“You look troubled. Are you ready for your sweetest punishment?” He uttered as his face turns in raptures while ing his hands inside both pockets.

“Please don’t expel me. I still have dreams to realize for myself and for my family. I will do anything for you to forgive me. Just don’t expel me, please,” Jessica begged as she rubbed both palms together.

The boy wanted to roll over the floor and laugh his off upon her crazy thought.  “Hahaha…I’m not that bad. You might be expelled but if you agree to play my game, you might be forgiven,” he said with a dark grin on the corner of his lip.

She thought he was mad for wrecking his precious car but his calmness took her unawares. “Game? What game?”

“We will play my favourite game—Heads or Tails.”

“Heads or Tails?” She repeated while creasing her forehead again. She was unfamiliar of the game he wanted to play.

“Yes. You heard it right,” he said before searching for a penny inside his pocket. “If it’s heads, you will be expelled,” he continued, pinpointing to one side of the penny. “But if it’s tails, you will NOT be expelled but you have to act as my girlfriend,” he giggles as he pointed the other side. “Are you heads or tails?”

Jessica was struck dumb upon his deal. But she can’t protest because at the first place she was the one at fault. She knew that whatever she chose she will be a loser. “I go for heads.” She firmly said.

Tiffany immediately jolted her. “Are you gone crazy, Jessie? Are you serious you wanted to be expelled?

“Of course I’m not serious. But I would rather leave this university and temporarily stop chasing my dreams than to stay here and suffer to act as her girlfriend. But either of the two, I’m still defeated.”

Without further ado, the boy tossed the penny up in air and let it hit the ground, twirling like a top before he finally stopped it with the sole of his shoe. “You go for heads. I go for tails,” he reminded and she nodded without a doubt. He raised his sole and both girls jaw drops with what their eyes have witnessed.

The boy smiled triumphantly, moving closer to her until his breath touched the sensitive part of her ear. She swallowed hard. “From this day forward, you will be Lee Donghae’s girlfriend,” he whispered before slowly walking away.

“I will not act as your girlfriend, you freak!” She squalled like a monster, ready to eat him alive.

He suddenly stopped and looked over his shoulders, “Whether you like it or not, witchy granny, the deal is a deal.”

Jessica can’t do anything but to let out a heavy sigh when the reality finally sinks in that the president’s son dropped a bombshell when he set the game and she agrees to it.

This is the game that started it all. Will the cat-and-dog relationship turns into romance? Will the play-acting thingy remains a guise? Will the lies become real? Will the hate turns into love?
