Drabble 2 // Being Good

     Jimin didn’t hesitate one bit as he landed a hard punch on Taehyung’s jaw and sent the younger flailing to the ground. He clenched his fist tighter and felt his nails digging into his palm but he couldn’t care less. His blood boiled with an overload of mixed emotions; everything became so sophisticated and tears threatened to fall from his eyes. Taehyung winced and clasped his aching jawbone.

“Why did you come back?!” Why did you leave?

“Why are you here?!” Why did it take so long?

“You don’t even love me anymore!” Please tell me you still love me.

Jimin yelled out with a croaking voice, water trickles sliding down his cheek as he let out all his pain. He shut his eyes tightly and let himself cry; just one more time. One last time. But he honestly never wanted Taehyung to see him cry. He only wondered if the younger ever felt sad at all for what their relationship had become.

Taehyung hopped to his feet and rushed towards Jimin, pulling the shorter into a suffocating embrace. He ran his hand up and down the back of Jimin’s head as he tried to comfort his hyung as much as he could.

“I’m sorry hyung, I’m so sorry. I should never have left. I regret it to the end of the world. I still love you. I do, I do.”

Jimin tried to get out of Taehyung’s hold but the taller was too strong. He continued to speak and his voice pleaded. “Hyung, please, please forgive me. I never meant to hurt you, I really didn’t. I missed you every day to the point where I felt like dying. I couldn’t even breathe properly.”

“No, it’s not that Tae… I…” Jimin tilted his head upwards, “I can’t breathe.”

Taehyung quickly released Jimin and let out a small ‘oh’, relief sinking into him. Jimin glanced down at his feet and blinked, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink unintentionally. Taehyung smiled when he saw his hyung’s lips curving upwards, and he pulled Jimin into a gentler, less dramatic hug.

“I haven’t forgiven you yet.”

He pulled away again, pouting.

Jimin grinned. “From now on, you have to be good.”

Taehyung smiled and saluted, “Yes!”

“And you have to be by my side always.”

“Yes sir!”

“And you have to be loyal to me and only me.”

“Yesserie!”

“And-“

Jimin was interrupted by Taehyung’s lips suddenly pressing onto his. When the younger broke away, Jimin’s face was as red as a tomato but fortunately his mind still functioned properly. “And you can’t kiss me without my permission like that!”

Taehyung lifted his hand to salute when he hesitated and pouted. “Aww, but hyung…”

Jimin grinned and shook his head. Taehyung hanged his head with an even bigger pout on his lips. Jimin patted his head with satisfaction all over his face.

“Now that’s a good boy.”
