People you shouldn't fall for.
Vmin Drabble CollectionDrabble 14 // People you shouldn't fall for.
The sun's shining brightly and when Jimin looks up at the sky he sees bubbles of light shooting from his eyes to the star far above. It's a nice, warm day and he feels like he might take off his checkered shirt over his singlet when he later enters the cafe. It's a pity taking off a piece of clothing wouldn't be enough to cool down burning cheeks though. Jimin curses under his breath as he stares at the cute boy standing before him at the door, a cold bubble tea in hand. There's freely styled blonde hair above his beautiful-beyond-words complexion and the black leather-like jacket he's wearing (as much as it doesn't suit the weather) makes him look like some young talented rock star who might possibly have a quirky personality. Jimin gulps and he's thankful the temperature of the day can cover for the sweat drop that's running down the side of his face.
The beautiful eyes he's been locked on fall back onto his own and he can't help but think that the existence standing before him is way out of his league. Still, he has the ideas of scoffing with a "get out of my way" in an attempt to act cool, or a polite "sorry" that might repay him with a sweet smile. But he does neither. The boy steps down from the door step and shoots him a bright smile before moving aside to let Jimin pass, and only then does he realise that it's only been a mere ten seconds. "Sorry, I didn't mean to block you." He says and Jimin fights the urge to react to how unexpectedly deep the boy's voice is. He musters up courage and glances up at the boy to steal a look at him, only to see the boy still staring at him with an enchanting small curve at the edge of his lips. Jimin shakes his head and tells himself that there's no way the boy doesn't have a girlfriend before he gives a small smile and enters the cafe. He looks over his shoulder and sees the boy walking away down the street, a pout pulling at his lips.
Ten minutes into his drink stop and a familiar face pops up. Jeongkook.
"Hyung! Fancy seeing you here!"
Jimin rolls his eyes because he knows the younger probably followed him. Jeongkook's gay like him, and Jimin's heard more than once about the boy's crush on him. Still, he's never come to have feelings back for the adorable seventeen year old, which is pretty stupid since he doesn't have the courage to believe that any of the hot guys he sees are single either. Regardless, he knows Jeongkook will always be close by, and he selfishly takes comfort in that.
Two minutes later, cute blonde boy that's been clouding Jimin's mind reappears in the cafe and he doesn't trust his eyes when the boy walks up to him with a knowing smirk. Jeongkook's glaring at the boy as he places a small piece of paper down before Jimin on the table with his phone number on it. "If you're interested, call me." And after he's gone, Jimin begs Jeongkook to slap him. And it hurts.
And for a while, Jimin wonders if he should take the chance he's been given. Was the boy even single? Was he gay? It'd be awkward if he didn't leave his number for the reasons Jimin thinks. He wonders if he should just forgot about it and accept Jeongkook because one day he might actually come to love him back. But he knows it's the wrong thing to do, so he picks up his phone and types in the name 'Taehyung' as he adds the new contact ID.
His heart's pounding as he dials the number, and he swears it skips a beat when he hears the kind "hello" at the other end of the line.
