Chaeyoung woke up in the middle of the night, wrapped in a pale gown and a single sheet of cotton to adapt to the hot weather. She sat up in the bed, and her gaze flickered around the empty room that belonged to Sehun.   Sehun…..   Chaeyoung let out a trembled breath remembering what had happened. She had left Sehun in the dimension he did not belong. There was a vivid pain in her chest, created from the distance between her and her mate. “Please let the spirits guide him to safety.” Chaeyoung prayed, making her way out of the bed. He had immediately tended to her and must’ve cared for her, placing her on the bed so she could rest.   “Mummy, is that you?” The door creaked open, illuminating the room a little due to the outside light in the corridor.    Chaeyoung turned around and saw the two little figures partially hidden behind the opened door. The door opened wider and more light filled the room. In the dim lighting, 2 girls in sleeping dresses entered with their eyes focused on her with worry and uncertainty. They slowly stepped inside, timidly keeping their eyes locked on the almost obscure figure near the window.   Chaeyoung swallowed her tears as she saw her daughters take small, wary steps towards her. Mina cradled a big teddy bear in her clutch while Yoon held her free hand. The both were beautifully creatures. Mixed breeds derived from the rich and strange lineage of a phoenix and powerful wolf.   “Mummy?” Mina’s voice pinched at Chaeyoung’s heart.   Chaeyoung went on her knees and held out her arms. “I’m sorry for leaving.” She whispered.   The two girls stopped briefly, and disbelief drew on their adolescent features. They instantly darted in her arms; wrapping their short arms around her and embracing her irresistibly close. Chaeyoung gathered her arms around the small figures, savouring the sweet moment. She missed them incredibly and to have them both in her arms and safe, she was relieved with happiness of the highest degree.   “You came back.” Yoon breathed steadily, her voice shaky but calm.   “Of course I did.” Chaeyoung whispered.   “Did you leave because we were too much for you? Do you hate us mummy?” Yoon dared to ask. Her clear black eyes, the same as her dads filled with unshed tears and Chaeyoung felt the guilt of the accident. “No, of course not.
