Sehun stood in the corner with his arms crossed over his chest and his back against the wall. He assessed Kris and his daughters carefully, watching grudgingly as they affectionately exchanged words and small hugs.    “Mummy was in a dark place.” Yoon informed.    “Was she scared?” Kris asked, playing with her dark locks that hung near her waist.    “No. She’s….frustrated and worried.”    “Mummy isn’t crying?” Kris asked.   “No. She’s with her family.” Yoon replied after much thought. Her eyes were filled with confusion.    “But I thought we were her family.” Mina’s eyes watered and her lips wavered. Kris tried to comfort the girl by her back but the girl was threatening to erupt into waterworks. Kris bit his lip in concern, trying to settle the girl down but in the end, Mina broke into a silent cry. She didn’t scream or flail around.   She simply shed tears, gazing at her feet that were fitted into white tennis shoes sadly.   Sehun felt pained seeing his daughter like that. Without much thought, he strode to the bed and took Mina from Kris’s lap. He embraced her tightly, pecking her hair. “Shhh, don’t cry. Everything will be alright. Mummy will come back because we are also her family too.” Sehun’s voice softened as he gently brushed her silver hair. Sehun smiled when Mina threw her short arms around his neck and sniffled at his neck. “Daddy.” She quietly sniffed.   Sehun froze hearing the one word escaped his daughter’s lips. He held her tighter, hoping his embrace and soothing words erased her worries. “Daddy’s here. Everything will be fine.” He lightly rocked the young girl in his arms.   Kris softened, pleased that Mina allowed Sehun into her big heart. As he glanced down at Yoon, she was silent. Kris knew she wanted to join the pair, but she was far too stubborn to cave into Sehun’s arms. She just clung onto Kris, and stared sadly at her feet.   “Go to them.” Kris whispered upon her hair, it affectionately.   Yoon shook her head, “No. I’m fine. I’ll stay with Uncle Kris.” She replied, barely in a whisper.    Kris managed to extract some more information from Yoon of the whereabouts of Chaeyoung before she fell asleep. Kris layed the limp girl onto the bed, and covered her with a thick sheet. She cuddled into the blanket and Kris let out a small smile. Sleeping Mina was placed beside Yoon, and Sehun also pulled a few sheets over her small frame. She smiled unconsciously and something blissful danced in Sehun’s chest. He was so happy and at peace to know that one of his daughters were easing up to him. He stared at the two with profound love.    “When we get Chaeyoung back, you better treat them right, all 3 of them, because if you break one of their hearts or let a tear escape their beautiful eyes, I’ll send you to hell and allow the devil to strip your skin away.”   Sehun faced Kris with a firm, promising expression. “I’ll never hurt them and I’ll cherish each and every one of them.”   Kris’s face softened, “That’s all I ask for and for earlier, I’m so sorry.”   Sehun had to bottle up the flaming disl
