“Mummy, who’s that?” Mina nudged her mother’s side.   Chaeyoung had moved herself and daughter to the corner of the gaol, watching the mysterious shadow at the opposite corner. Not once did he/she say something but Chaeyoung knew that he had been staring at her, probably trying to see her face in the solid darkness.   Once the sun broke into the cell, Chaeyoung immediately jerked up, wincing at the intense light shining onto her skin. She found Mina settled on her lap, her body completely limp against hers while she slept blissfully and uninterrupted. Chaeyoung curled her silver strands behind the girl’s ears, gazing at her younger self in affection.   “Unbelievable.” A choked whisper caught Chaeyoung’s attention.   Chaeyoung perked her head up and went cold seeing who the ominous shadow had been the whole time.   Yugyeom.   He looked more fragile now.    His black strands of hair had grown and covered half his eyes, his cheeks a little sunken in and his eyes were red from fatigue.  He lost his muscles and became lankier, which was strange.    His arms were exposed under a thin singlet, showcasing whip marks stained in reds and purples.   Under his long strands of hair, his eyes were perfectly round. “Y-You.” He simply uttered from the bottom of his dry throat.   Chaeyoung sharply inhaled, her grip on Mina had tightened, making the girl wake up and stare at her mother in concern. Staring at his blood-shot eyes, Chaeyoung realised that something was odd about him. The killing fire he once had flashing in his brown eyes disappeared completely, only a remorseful and guilty version left behind in his frail mould.   For hours they continued to stare at one another, unsure of what to contemplate of the situation.    Breaking the silence was the rumbling of Mina’s stomach growling. She sheepishly covered her belly and blushed.   Yugyeom’s eyes left Chaeyoungs and landed on the Mina. Chaeyoung wound her arms more protectively around Mina, resting her chin over her silver waves.   Rather than saying anything, Yugyeom smiled. Mina being Mina, she grinned back at the stranger, oblivious to her mother’s past with the coyote.   Mina’s smile soon faded when she studied Yugyeom more closely. “You’re not a wolf.” She pointed out.   Yugyeom let a raspy chuckle elicit from his throat.    Mina just raised her brow, “A-Are you a coyote?” She asked warily.   Yugyeom caught her gaze then he nodded.   Mina swallowed hard, holding onto Chaeyoung more closely. “But you don’t look scary.”   Yugyeom’s eyes saddened. “You’re wrong.” He finally spoke. His voice had become more low and huskier.   Mina wanted to ask something else but they heard footsteps approaching the cell.   Chaeyoung froze while Yugyeom forced himself onto his feet. He slowly made his way to the metal bars, wrapping his calloused fingers around the metal bars. His head placed in a gap and he waited for whomever to come, to arrive in front of him.    -=-=-=-=-=-=-   Kai was in charge of feeding Yugyeom since anybody else who tried to tend to him, attempted to stick a knife through him. He was the only one who c
