“Are you alright?” Baekhyun asked, tapping Sehun’s shoulder.   Sehun snapped out from his trance and pulled his gaze away from his open window. He remembered that he was having an important meeting with his Pack in one of his private headquarters. He rearranged his golden robes around him and sighed, staring at his tea filled with herbs. “I’m fine.” Sehun muttered, sipping his tea slowly.   All eyes peered at him in a queer manner. “Is it about Chaeyoung?” D.O dared to ask. Suho immediately socked D.O in the arm, and the latter cringed.   Sehun lifted his dull gaze from his tea and emitted a long sigh. “No. Not really.”   “Then what is it?” Chanyeol placed his tea cup down and blinked attentively in his direction. Sehun hesitated for a moment with his answer, “I’m not sure if I should say…..” He awkwardly chewed on his lip and fiddled with the hem of his tailored robe.    “I think I know what he’s burdened of.” Chanyeol leant towards Kai and whispered. Kai glared at Chanyeol, but the other just grinned widely. “It’s definitely about the upcoming Full Moon.” Kai rolled his eyes and shoved the tall man way from him. “No. I highly doubt it Chanyeol.” Kai crossed his arms.   “Sooooooo?” Suho probed, tapping the brim of his ceramic tea cup boredly.    “It’s the kids.” Sehun eventually revealed.   Kai became uncomfortable, and averted his gaze on his hands.   Sehun had no knowledge of Kai’s secret, nor did his Pack. Kai struggled to tell Sehun of his discovery but it would be soon when he confessed. Very soon.     “They hate me.” He leant against the wall, exhaling a breath of air.    “They can’t possibly hate you.” Baekhyun tried to comfort the King but Sehun’s expression was devoid of any emotion. He just stared distantly at a glass vase, silently counting the number of flowers inside.    “They think Kris is their father.” Sehun scoffed bitterly after a long pause.   “Well obviously.” Baekhyun casually picked on the rice cakes set on the table. Chanyeol who was beside the male nudged him hard on the elbow and Baekhyun whimpered in response, throwing his Pack members a glare. “I didn’t mean it like that. It’s just that Chaeyoung reeks of Kris’s scent, and if I’m not wrong, she bears his mark, not Sehun’s.” Baekhyun pointedly argued.   “Sehun.” D.O leaned over the short table with a guarded expression. The way his eyes bored into Sehun made him flinch with unease. The table creaked under D.O’s weight and unconsciously, Sehun inched back, narrowing his eyes in caution. “What is it D.O?” Sehun inquired sternly.   D.O was extremely silent until his eyes flickered from Sehun’s face and out the window. His whole Pack stared out the window, and Sehun wondered why until he himself turned around and saw 2 figures standing atleast 3 metres away from the window and oblivious to their curious prying.   Sehun’s throat constricted seeing his mate converse with the noble. He suddenly felt overprotective of the girl, particularly because that was the man who marked his mate.
