Currently the trio were in a large room, similar to the library but not quite. The walls were mature in here, exhibiting the frail and vulnerability of the structure. The shelves were manufactured with pure gold but hardly any books filled the shelves, there were more scrolls placed on top of the metal.
“I didn’t know this place existed in here.” Chaeyoung analysed the room with keen, bright eyes. She was sure her father told her of every room and secret passages in the castle, but he failed to mention this one.
The thought struck her uncomfortably, were there possibly other things in the castle she did not know of?
“It’s because he couldn’t not wouldn’t.” Henry simply said.
“What do you mean?” Sehun quirked a brow.
Henry shrugged, keeping his scrutiny on some ancient scrolls stacked in neat pyramids on the dusty stands.
“Well, this place isn’t really fixed to one place. It constantly moves about and if father were to tell us, this library wouldn’t even be where he claimed because it would vanish elsewhere.”
Sehun looked confused as he hugged Chaeyoung from behind, “I still don’t get it.”
“This library is a living thing. It seriously breathes and all.” Henry stated casually, like his claim was not at all abnormal……
“Is he crazy?” Sehun whispered near Chaeyoung’s ear. Chaeyoung snickered, moving her head side to side.
“No. He isn’t crazy.”
“Are you sure?” Sehun had to make sure, because Henry was slightly creeping him out now. Who knows, maybe a unicorn would appear and use the horn on its head to grant them a way back home. Huh, he would love to see that happen!
“So this is the Viscus Library?” Chaeyoung spoke with admiration and amazement. She grazed her fingertips over the stacked scrolls and grinned to herself. She hadn’t heard of the place from her father but a book she read when she was younger. Yet, the book only hid context of mythical and false theories. It was strange that such a place even existed, but analysing the structure and rich contents of the place, there was no doubt this was the legendary Viscus Library.
Sehun dipped his head, and pecked Chaeyoung’s head. “I can’t wait to go home and marry you.”
Chaeyoung, despite not wanting to, flushed a deep crimson colour. “Let’s focus on returning home.”
Sehun grinned sincerely as she mentioned ‘home’. He was glad that she thought his home was her home.
“And I can’t wait to take you to bed on our honey moon too.” Sehun chuckled, low and raspy. He was intentionally making his words husky and seductive, and from the small shiver she did, his plan to make her flustered worked.
“I really am getting bored with your lovey dovey moments.” Henry wrinkled his nose adorably. Sehun merely smirked, “Well get used to it.” Sehun held Chaeyoung closer to him, decorating the top of her head with kisses. Henry’s face contorted into abhorrence. “Yeah, whatever.” He muttered, revealing a tattered scroll rolled up with a thick lock of red silk. “This should help.” Henry slipped the artefact into Sehun’s palm.
Sehun took the scroll warily and unknotted the knot that kept the scroll rolled up. He unravelled the sheet of frail paper and scanned the smudged inked writing.
“This is your way to escaping here without alerting the others.” Henry helpfully equipped.
Chaeyoung ran her eyes over the stained, crème sheet. “I don’t understand it.”
“I do.” Sehun noted, closing the scroll and throwing the scroll away with an angry sneer.
“What did it mean?” Chaeyoung felt something unsettling well in her chest.
“We’re back to square 1
