Chapter 7

Jaejoong reached out his hand to stop the taxi, amazed that it was already a very busy morning in Canada at nine-thirty. After eight times attempts failed, he finally got the taxi. He made himself comfortable even though his heart was beating faster than ever.

“Good morning, sir. Where are we going to?”

“Where are we going? Damn!” Jaejoong cursed, under his breath. He didn’t know where Tiffany lived. He only know the school where she worked. He shook his head, realizing how stupid he was as he didn’t ask where she lived last night! How to find her address? Well, she must be at the school now, he assured himself. He closed his eyes, let out a weak smile & told the taxi driver of the school Tiffany work at.

Looking at the view through the taxi window, he couldn’t help but grin crazily. He was a father of twin boys. He couldn’t believe it. He had never imagined during their separation she could be pregnant. Then he chuckled silently to himself, “Once is enough, you know that, don’t you, silly?” He shook his head & told himself, “Don’t lose it now. You are so close to seeing Tiffany again, & two little masterpiece of life.”

‘But what about the other man whom she married?’ His mind reminded him. He frowned, carefully looking at his shadow in the taxi window. His heart thudded in his chest.

“I have to win the battle this time whatever it costs.” When he murmured, his voice sounded oddly strained, “Mommy, you are home.”

Opening the door, Aaron Kim Minki screamed loudly as he found his mother at the doorway.

Tiffany knelt down & kissed his cheeks. Her eyes shimmered with tears, “Why are you still here? Where is Minho?”

“I’m here.” A little voice came into her ear. Tiffany turned her face & saw a cute grin on Minho’s face. She took him into her embrace.

“Give me a hug.”

Minki joined his brother in Tiffany’s embrace & grinned at each other, “Where have you been, mommy?”

“Oh.” Tiffany said nervously, looking at the two little kids who were staring at her innocently, “I wanted to see my friend off at the airport but I couldn’t find him.”

“Why? Was he hiding from you?” Minki giggled, playing with his mother’s hair.

She nodded behind her tears, swallowing hard, “Yes, he was hiding so mommy couldn’t find him.”

“He is naughty, mommy.” Minho answered this time, grinning.

Blinking her eyes several times, Tiffany nodded, “Yes, he is naughty.” She looked at Minho & was unprepared for the tumultuous emotions that flared inside of her. She began to cry.

“Mommy, you are crying. Why?” Minho hugged her tightly.

She looked up & their eyes met.

“Jaejoong Oppa’s pair of eyes. Oh, god.” She muttered silently. She shuddered without her realization, “Mommy.” Minki whispered, & then joined his brother to hug her. Their eyes met before he ran into her embrace.

Tiffany’s cries began to get loud. Her twins’ eyes, dark hair, handsome face & gorgeous smile reminded her so much of their father that it always made her heart squeeze with pain. In five weeks, they would be three years old. The way time was flying, they would soon be at an age to ask questions about their father & then what would she tell them? That their father died? That their father left them? That was a lie & she didn’t want to lie, especially in front of her beloved son’s but she had to do this for Jaejoong’s sake. God had saved Jaejoong. God had restored his life. Based on his medical report, he should have been dead on the operation bed three years ago when his heart stopped beating & she had promised god that she would give her life to save the man she loved from death. She believed Jaejoong had been punished for her sins. The sins she made as she had changed her mind to become a nun after she met him. She broke her vows & look what had happened. The man she loved suffered, almost died because of a gunshot because he loved her. She was supposed to be god’s bride, not Kim Jaejoong’s bride but Jaejoong is alive. For a man who had the bullet burning inside his body to wake up from death without any medical condition was a miracle. A miracle indeed. Even the doctors couldn’t believe it. Yes, he was in a coma & his lower body had been paralyzed for a few months, however, he got his health back now after therapy & medicines & for this gift from god, she had to keep her promise & never break it again. She had decided to give herself in celibacy, being a nun in the convent. She promised god to take care of the poor, to give herself in dedication to the church for the rest of her life in order to save Jaejoong’s life. However, god had his own plan. She found out she was pregnant by the time she reached the convent’s door & was ready for the ceremony.

“Mommy, you are crying.” Minho started to cry, looking at his mother’s tears.
