It has been a couple of years since then. EXO slowly got the peace they wanted though they were still famous. Almost everyone dated, Chen ended up with Ynna and Baekhyun ended up with Mae. Nobody was sure what Xiumin and Rae were. But Milan wasn’t found or anything. The boys didn’t see Ynna panicking so they were sure the composer was safe and happy, happier than she was with EXO. The beagle line was fresh out from the military that year, with Kyungsoo going to the military next year.

Chanyeol massaged his temples, not really having a smile on his face. The boy matured into a man. He was still the happy virus but he wasn’t completely the same. He was hurt because she left. He was disappointed in himself for not ever stopping her. “Mil…” He can’t even say her name out loud.

It triggers so many memories.

Suho cleared up his throat when he saw s were all present. There was even Mae at the corner of the room, leaning on Baekhyun’s shoulder but that wasn’t important now. “EXO-K, the journey was hard but it was all worth it. We’re somehow like Super Junior-sunbaenim. Look at them, they have their own girlfriends and maybe wives right now. After a few more years, yes, we’ll be able to taste that freedom,” the eldest said in a wistful tone.

“Baekhyun can finally take his girlfriend out of the house for example. I can confess to this girl I’ve been friends with since my university days, Kai going out with that interior designer who is friends with his noona and Sehun… I have no clue what Sehun’s been up to,” Suho shrugged. “Chanyeol, you have to move on. It’s been like, four years?” Kyungsoo spoke.

“Four years is nothing…” Chanyeol almost whispered. “Nothing? There are a lot of other girls who like you and around your age,” Baekhyun scoffed. “I don’t care,” Chanyeol told him. “I still love her,” he added, looking down. “Chanyeol, there is no reassurance you’ll see her again,” Suho said sternly. “Even Ynna doesn’t speak about this issue. You see Mae over there? She won’t bother to tell you,” he added.

“I’m willing,” Mae raised her head from her phone and looked at all the men. “I mean, it’s been years. I’m sure Milan will be cool with it,” she added. “Milan… She continued her studies in Europe, earlier than anticipated. She was told by the CEO of SM to do that. It was a course with 3 years. The remaining year, she spent working in SM’s branch in America, the reason why you haven’t heard of her since then,” she explained.

“Why didn’t she tell us then? Why did she leave abruptly?” Baekhyun asked his girlfriend. Mae only smirked and shook her head. “She’s… the type of girl to be like that. She’s a coward. She’s an idiot who doesn’t know she’ll make people worry. At least, she’s safe there, safer than being here or in China,” she answered.

“But now that you know all of this, what’re you going to do, Chanyeol-oppa?” Mae turned to the older.

“Good job, hyung. That was the second girl within this year,” Tao clapped his hands and Luhan only shook his head. “I did try, Zhitao. But you know, it’s hard,” the elder massaged his temples. “I mean, you’re happy with your girlfriend, Chen looks really happier than you, Lay reunited with his girlfriend and bao zi has his coffee addict but I can’t just maintain one,” Luhan complained.

“Do I have to set you up again?” Tao asked, raising an eyebrow. “Don’t bother,” Luhan sighed. “I want to be single for a while,” he added, pulling his hair back using his hands. “Don’t you have a drama shooting to do?” Tao asked. “Not today, my drama shooting is tomorrow,” Luhan corrected him.

“I have to leave you then. I think Xiumin-hyung is in the terrace if you want company,” Tao stood up and proceeded to get himself ready for the day ahead of him. Luhan stayed in his place for a few minutes, thinking about everything. His exes didn’t have flaws. They were absolutely beautiful and nice too. They were approved by their company and his friends but for some reason, it didn’t feel right.

“I wonder how she is… Is she alright?” Luhan whispered to himself. “Of course, she is. Of course, Ynna is still the same after all,” he muffled before deciding to stand up and go to his best friend. He found the said friend on the terrace, smiling towards his phone. Luhan expected he was texting Rae again and he wasn’t sure when Xiumin will tell them about the real status of their relationship.

“Hey,” Luhan called up to him and Xiumin raised his head to acknowledge his presence. “How’s it going? I heard you broke up with your girlfriend,” Xiumin asked. “The feeling wasn’t the same?” He continued, hiding his phone in his pocket. Luhan slowly nodded. “What to do? I mean, I know she was kind enough for me and she was really pretty… but,” he frowned.

“Woah, woah, Luhan, you have to hold it in. If she ever goes back to us, well, you promised Chanyeol you won’t interrupt their love story.”

Meanwhile, in America, Ynna was supposedly there to help the rookies cope with fame. SM Entertainment managed to get better composers and lyricists who were fluent in English. “I know you’re older than me, Mark, but straighten up!” she scolded the elder. Mark just crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

“Let him be, noona,” Jeno said, reassuring the idol. “And don’t call me noona, Jeno! We’re just days apart!” Ynna almost screeched. “Take it easy on them,” a girl went into the room, having her hair tied up into a messy ponytail and her eyes framed with a pair of glasses.

“They remind me of those boys I spent the start of my career with.”

“Oh, Milan! Come here and let me punch you in the stomach because it’s hard to lie to my beloved Jongdae-oppa!”
