There are many different types of authors out there; some may love short comments, some may love long comments. However, regardless of whether they’re short or long, a (nice) comment would brighten the author’s day.

Okay, I’d come across this situation where the author doesn't want the readers to give redundant comments. That’s fine actually, seeing how different people have different preferences. But then again, the readers are just trying to give their favourite author encouragement to go on writing, and the sad thing is, I’ve seen authors react so violently to simple comments like “Hwaiting, author-nim!” or “Update soon~”.

I mean, come on. They’re trying to treat you nicely and you burst their bubble? That’s just plain mean.

But then again, there are those nice little angels who reply to every single comment so none will feel left out. Now I’m not saying that it’s an obligation to do so, especially if you’re flooded with hundreds of comments every day, but it’s a nice thing to do, and it will definitely lift the commenter’s spirits.

However, there are some commenters who leave short comments, and when the author replies, they just disappear. I never understood them. Oh well.

Since I’m already talking about this, I shall mention that I absolutely love those authors who send out thanks to their subscribers. I don't know, they just stand out to me as hard-working individuals who appreciate their supporters (I may have hit a raw nerve there). Did I also mention how much I love comments?

I don't have much to say about this really. I found the lack of updates to this disturbing, therefore I’m squeezing out a chapter. Probably should start on that comments compilation huh?

Also, I realised I’ve been ranting about people instead of the content the stories have, so I’ll steer back to my main purpose soon.
