We just continued on walking, but I noticed that yeonhee became quiet; I think she’s in deep thought again, I really shouldn’t have brought that topic in the first place,

 

_Yeonhee’s Pov_

I just smiled to myself as I reminisced that memory from my past, I admit, I never felt that so happy before, for the first time in my life, I felt that I also deserved to be loved, that even a geek like me can also find a love that is just right for me.

(Flashback)

It didn’t take long after his confession incident that I agreed to be his girlfriend. I also wanted to, for at that time I have fallen deeply for him. But because Gikwang is a popular guy in our campus, I know that it will be a big trouble if someone found out that we are going out.

It’s not a secret from me that he was so popular with a lot of girls, for he is our varsity players, and his so called fans are all around our campus, and I was a little worried about them.

One time he talked to me and asked me if it’s alright for me to just keep our relationship in secret, at first I wondered why, but as I remembered his status on our campus, I just gladly agreed…

“yeonhee ah, I know it will be hard this way, but I’m just really worried that you might get hurt, knowing some of the girls that likes me are very possessive and aggressive, I don’t want you to get hurt just by being with me” Gikwang said, he was holding hands tightly and looked me with eyes with so much care.

I looked away for a while, I know that he’s just concerned for me, that’s why he’s doing this, I looked back at him, he was still looking at me, waiting for my response, I sighed first then smiled at him,

“arasso,” I started

“I know that you’re just worried, so I’ll just agree” I continued, then look at the beautiful view of the Hangang River in front of us

 I saw him smile from my peripheral view, he then held my hand much tighter I looked at him and he was still giving me his sweet smile,

“komawo yeonhee ah~” he said, I smiled back at him and slightly nod but put my head down because I’m starting to blush

He let go of my hands and held my face making me face him, I just closed my eyes waiting for what he’ll do next, he then planted a kiss on my forehead, thou I was expecting much more than that I just shrugged then he hugged me, and I just hugged him back.

That thought of him being concerned for me made me so happy, so I never asked about it anymore and just played my part as an understanding girlfriend.

I never once doubted him, even if I would hear rumors of him being linked into a certain girl, I just brush those thought aside and think that’s it’s just normal for a popular guy to be like that. I just trust him and give him my whole heart, and I know that I’m the only girl he loves.

As weeks pass, we still kept our relationship hidden; only Ryn knew about us and she just supported me with what I want, at first she was so worried for me, but I assured her that I was happy, and she finally understood me.

Having our relationship hidden, I knew that we can’t be together when we are inside our campus, we just meet somewhere else and spend certain time for each other. He also have been busy practicing for their competition so I was so worried, I tried to help him with his assignments and project for I know that he doesn’t have time to do them by himself, I don’t mind anyway for academics is pretty fun for me, one of the benefits of being smart.

One day I woke up early and made him packed lunch for I know that he was so busy practicing that he can’t eat that well. After class I quickly went my way to the soccer field where gikwang oppa and his team mates are practicing, but when I reached the field I dint see him or his team mates and I thought maybe they were on break.

I tried calling him but he wasn’t answering his phone, then I just texted him. I was on my way back to my homeroom for I left my bag there, then as I passed by one of the rooms I heard people talking to each other, I didn’t really pay any attention, not until I heard my name.

I slowly peeked at the room and found him there with his friends,

“ya, gikwang ah, so how are you doing with yeonhee shii?” one of his friends asked, I frowned as I heard my name

“oh, I thought he didn’t want anyone to know that we are going out” I thought to my self

“tch…”he smirked but didn’t answer

“ohh…with that face of yours we know that you already got her” another friend of him said

“huh?” I thought

“but really dude, how can you even endure being with her, she doesn’t look attractive even just a little, she all that you know, geeky, a nerd” another friend of him said, I felt bad about what his friend said and waited for his response, I saw his face suddenly turned dim and he glared at his friend who said that

“ya ! Don’t even talk bad about her, she may look like a nerd, but she’s kind dude, so stop it ok” I heard him say, I felt so relieve with what he said, and it was enough for me to just hear that and with that I left, for I now that its rude to eavesdrop.

_normal pov_

“ohh…so you’re saying that your starting to like her” junhyung said to gikwang

“tch…don’t joke dude, I’ll never fall for someone like her…remember, im just doing this because of our bet, besides she’s useful,” gikwang said with a smirk on his face

“hahaha, so you just did all of this to use her” the same guy said

“of course, what else would it be, with the game arriving, I don’t have time to do school stuff, I’m just lucky that she volunteered to help me” he casually said

“yikes hyung! Aren’t you even afraid of karma, it might strike you hard” yoseob said

“don’t be such a fool, I still give her some benefits by spending some time with her” he said

“so you did take a move on her” hyunseung said

“Heck no, I won’t push it that far, a simple kiss on the forehead is enough,” he then blurted out

“Ohhh….what about in your birthday party? Will you ask her to come” his friend asked

I really thought back then that although we were hiding our relationship it would be alright and that we would always be happy with each other, but I guess I was really a fool to believe in happy endings and happily ever after then, I just sigh with that thought now.
