As soon as I reached home, I decided to not let myself sulk again, it was already at the past, the damage have already been done, and as what others say, don’t go crying over spilled milk, so ill not bother thinking that memory of mine from the past. For I have move on, it’s been 3 years after all, I am no longer in pain, it’s just all memories now.

At last prelims have ended, and the whole student body can now breathe normally, as usual, without any much effort, Yeonhee topped the exam again, and Ryn got what she wanted from her mom.

 

Now the whole school is getting ready for the annual school foundation, and of course as the president of the student body Yeonhee was in charge of all the preparations. She’s been very busy for the past few days, she had so many responsibilities not only in being in charge of the preparations; she also handles the pep squad and monitors their practice, because they will perform their routine on the day of the celebration, and as the squad captain, she needs to make sure that it will go smoothly.

 

 

In anything she handles, she always sees to it that everything she and her subordinates planned should go with the flow and for everything to run smoothly without a single glitch.

 

 

 

 

…a few days before the foundation day

 

 

Yeonhee was very busy supervising the things that are needed for the parade that will take place before the start of the celebration, she was constantly checking on the students that are in charge of making their floats, she tried her best to meet up their schedules, so that the work that they needed to do won’t pile up.

 

 

Although exhausted from practicing for their squad routines, she would quickly make her way to the other things that needed her attention, for the past three days this was her schedule, she can barely even have a time to eat and she’s starting to get stressed, especially with the steady pour of problems that are being reported to her.

 

 

She had no other choice but to think another way to solve it, and it only aggravates the stress she’s having. Sometimes she would just snap on any person that would approach her, or scold the students for very unreasonable things, or rather yell at anyone who would come up to her and just confirm things. 

 

 

She was very occupied while glancing at every part of their gymnasium, they are starting to make the designs of the floats that they will use, there are dozens of students busying their selves with each given tasks they need to accomplish and so far, they are making a good job.

 

 

Yeonhee turned her attention again at the clip board she was holding, checking every detail that they needed. Ryn was on the table at her back, checking some paper works and giving instructions to students approaching her. *so far so good…* she walk her way to the table again and sat on the chair beside Ryn, still never leaving the clip board on her hands.

 

 

“Ryn, did Mr. Song give you the time table for the program? I need to make sure we will the deadline…” she said, still looking at the clip board,

 

“huh? Uh….” Ryn scanned the paper she was looking at then stoop up to reach at the folder on her bag,

 

“ohh…here, it’s here,” she said as she handed the paper at Yeonhee then went back to what she was doing, the latter took the paper then quickly scanned it,

 

“hmmm…I think we will finish it all just in time for the parade, don’t you think?” Yeonhee asked as she look at Ryn who just nodded still not looking at her,

 

“sigh, thank god it’s almost over, I really thought I would have a chance to take a rest after the prelims, then again I was wrong again, these preparations just all the  energy out of me,” she then said while massaging her temples, Ryn glance at her and immediately furrowed her brows,

 

“Stress?” she asked

 

“Yeah, I’m fine don’t worry, just a little tired” Yeonhee then assured

 

“Did you eat lunch?” Ryn then asked back, now eyeing her

 

“Err, I forgot…?” she answered, Ryn just sighed at her then shook her head, then reached at her bag, she took out a chocolate bar and a bottle of vitamin water and handed it to Yeonhee.

 

“Here, eat this, I feel like I’m taking care of a child because of you. You can’t fall sick okay, you need to eat up and take a few rest for a while, with all of this job plus your intense practice on the squad, I won’t be so surprise if one day you’ll just suddenly faint on me” she then said. Yeonhee just smiled at her as she opened the bottle and took a drink, then exactly after she did, a sophomore student that was one of the person in charge of the floats came to her.

 

“uhh, excuse me, sunbae, ummm….” She started as she scratch the back of her head, hesitating to tell her something, Yeonhee just eyed at the student in front of her with her usually blank face, but she immediately got ticked when the student still did not continue what she was saying,

 

“yes?” she asked, In her obvious irritated voice, then student can’t look at her straight and just look at her feet,

 

“ummm…the thing is….” She then again started, Yeonhee started to clutch her temples more and closed her eyes  with the sight of the student in front of her, *sigh…relax, just a little more, you don’t need to be hard on her*,

 

“What is it?” Yeonhee then asked with her still sharp tone, with her eyes still close and rubbing her temples, trying all her might to not yell at the nervous student in front of her.

 

“It’s about the float…” the student again trailed, and this time, it just irked Yeonhee more, she leaned back and crossed both her arms and glared at the girl in front of her who just flinched in fright,

 

“Could you please get straight to the point and don’t waste my time, I have more things to do than to listen and watch you tremble there,” Yeohee then said in much louder tone this time, the student flinched again and immediatey bowed,

 

“ah, mianhe sunbaenim, it just the materials for the float are already running out, and we still have a long way to go, and there are some materials that are incomplete” said the student in one breath with her head bowed a little, Yeonhee suddenly stood up and unconsciously slammed her hands on the table making the poor girl jump in fright,

 

“WHAT????” why did you just report this to me now? Didn’t I in charger someone to from your class to by the necessary materials? She said in a suppressed tone, but enough to make at the student tear up,

 

“n-n-ne, su..sunbaenim, bu…bu…but…”

 

“but what????” she then snapped and totally yelled at the now crying girl,

 

“he…he miscalculated the amount, and he bought the much expensive stuff, that’s why he wasn’t able to buy the other things” the student stated while trying to stop her tears,

 

“kyaa!!!! Aigoo…” Yeonhee shrieked at little as she grip on the pencil she was holding snapping it in the middle, and tried to breath deeply so that she would calm her nerves, Ryn was now on her side trying to calm her,

 

“Do I really need to do all the things here myself? With the simple buying of materials…there is still this kind of problem” she then said in no one in particular, her back facing the student, Ryn held both her shoulders and tried to sit her down, which she did,

 

“calm down okay, it’s not her fault” Ryn cooed at her, Yeonhee then sighed…

 

“I know, but…arggg…” she replied,

 

“Jeongmal mianhe sunbaenim, mianheyo…” the girl bowed repeatedly, she just rolled her eyes and sighed multiple times, but got annoyed again when she saw the girl crying,

 

“uhggg… can you please not do that in front of me, crying won’t solve the problem, your just irritating be more, I did not tell you to cry, so stop that!!!” Yeonhee then snarled at the girl, which just bowed again, Ryn nudged her a little to the side giving her the just-calm-down-ok look, still very much annoyed she just sighed again, and rubbed her temples more, *I think I just lost 10 years of my life with this preparation thing, aigoo…and this stupid head just keep on aching*     

 

“fine, whatever, just…maximize all the stuff you still have there, I’ll be back and buy the rest of the materials needed, ill just do it myself this time” she then tetchily said as she fixed her things on the table and put on her bag,

 

“n…ne, sunbaemin, kamsahamnida” the student answered back after wiping her tears, and bowed again, Ryn just flashed her a smile and an apologetic look,

 

“ugh! Just do what I told you and try not to waste the materials, now just go and get out of my site while I can still get a grip of myself” she then said, and slumped back to the chair, grab the bottle and drink it,

 

“ei, don’t you think you were a bit harsh…” Ryn then whispered to her, she placed the bottle back on the table and sighed,

 

“yes I know, I’m just tired, that’s why I just snapped on anyone, and we will be a little behind schedule” she calmly answered back and rubbed her temples,

 

“just try to chill, are you okay?” Ryn then asked noticing her friends constant rubbing on her head,

 

“huh? Ahh, yeah, im fine, just having a little head ache, ill head out first and get the needed stuff” she then assured Ryn and gather the rest of her stuff,

 

“I’ll go with you” Ryn said, as she was about to fix her things,

 

“no, no need, I can handle this, just stay here and watch these creeps, they might burn down these floats when were not around” Yeonhee then said, while rubbing the back of her neck and stretch it from side to side, Ryn just chuckled

 

“Are you sure? You look like you won’t even make it out of the school gates” Ryn jokingly said, Yeonhee just rolled her eyes and smiled a little,

 

“tch, come on, I think your forgetting who I am, I’ll be fine, here just hold these papers for me and my bag, I’ll just bring my phone and my wallet, so that I won’t have much baggage to carry” she said as she handed Ryn her stuff,

 

“ok, just call me If you don’t feel well okay, and try to stop by the clinic to take some medicine” Ryn said as she took Yeonhee’s stuff and placed it next to her’s

 

“yeah, I’ll just call you, and I’ll just stop by the pharmacy on my way to the store, I’ll be back later” Yeonhee then stated  before she went her way out,

 

“yeah, take care” Ryn answered back,
