Drabble #0

 For a moment Boram was scared Eunjung had heard her.
"What did you say?" the younger girl asked trying to wipe mud off her face.
"I said I have some sunflower seeds," Boram replied.
"It sounded like you said something else," Eunjung said in a low voice. They had decided to work on the small patch of soil behind their apartment building. It had been hours since they started and Boram felt dirty and tired. She did not say anything because Eunjung was enjoying herself. Her entire nose was caked with mud and some cheap manure she had bought at this point but she was smiling widely and her eyes were twinkling.
"Here," Boram took out her hankerchief. She wetted the tip and began rubbing gently. Eunjung closed her eyes and for a short while, they stayed that way, content.
"You still haven't answered," Eunjung sighed. Boram paused her cleaning. She could repeat what she had said, that she liked the other girl the way she could not with Soyeon. What would happen if Eunjung did not feel the same way? Even worse, what if Eunjung could not understand her preference for girls?
"I'll get those sunflower seeds," Boram answered softly. She stood up and walked out of the green house. They both knew she would not be back for a while.
