Choi Sooyoung’s POV

“Will you marry me?”

Opss..

“Mwoh?”, Jessica’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Yah! Choi Sooyoung! What’s wrong with you?”, my mother snapped at me.

“I.. I.. I mean.. do you know me?.. Y-yeah.. do you know me? Hehehe..”, I stuttered nervously as I chuckled awkwardly.

“Yah! What kind of question is that? You think you’re a pop star idol or something?”, my mother snapped again. I swear I heard a giggle, and I saw Jessica covered with her hand, as she tried harder not to burst out into laughter.

“Darn me! Why I become so clumsy soon as I saw her?”, I said as I mentally slapped myself.

“Pardon with her, Miss Jessica”, my mother said as she glared at me sharply with her hawk eyes, and shook her head. “Okay, can you please introduce yourself to us?”, my mother said to her.

“It’s okay, ma’am”, she replied with a smile.

Gosh! I was awed with her smooth silky voice, her sweet smile, and it almost turned my body into jelly like I will collapse at any time soon.

“Ermm.. my name is Jessica Jung Sooyeon. I’m 25 years old. I was born in San Francisco, California. My family moved to Korea when I was 11 years old. I attended Korea Kent Foreign School, and Baehwa All-Girls High School. After graduated from high school, I further my studies in fashion at Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, and used to work with Carolina Herrera for few years before I moved back to Korea. Right now I’m looking for a job that suits with my qualification so that I could share and apply my skills and passion in fashion”, she said as she finished her introduction. My mother just nodded her head while still checking through her resume.

“Interesting. So, tell me, how did you know about our company?”, my mother asked her.

“Well, ma’am, the whole Seoul knows about your company. I love all your collections for all season, it’s really on par with international brands. But, honestly, before I moved back to Korea, I have been studied about your company profile first before I sent my resume. I really interested to work with your company, ma’am. So, here I am, just to try my luck”, she said as she smiled. My mother was smiling too upon hearing her answer.

“Well, I’m not the only panel of the interview here. So, Miss Sooyoung, do you have anything to ask?”, my mother asked while looking at me. I gasped.

“Err.. ermm.. h-how did you find our company?”, I asked while glancing at her.

“Well, your company indeed is a high reputable company, and I guess your designer team always having a high sense in latest fashion, especially for the youngsters, without neglecting the needs of the market out there, and the tastes of various walks of life. That’s why I’m interested to join your designer team, so that I can share my experience of working with an international brand”, she answered smoothly and brilliantly.

“This girl, I love her, mom!”, I thought as I smiled.

“Hmm.. I will definitely hire you without having a second thought!”, I suddenly said, which causing my mother to shoot her icy glare at me.

“This brat, haishh!”, I heard my mother mumbled. “Ermm.. Miss Jessica, could you please wait at outside for awhile?, my mother asked.

“Sure, ma’am”, she said as she got up from her seat, and bowed to my mother before she walked out of the room. My mother got up from her seat too, and walked towards the door to make sure that the door is locked.

“Yah! Choi Sooyoung! Who give you permission to hire this girl on the spot, huh?”, my mother snapped while smacking at my back head.

“Oww! Momm!”, I groaned in pain while caressing my back head. “I thought you like her!”, I exclaimed.

“What were you thinking, huh? Do you think this is an interview session to find a girlfriend for you?”, my mother snapped again.

“Haishh.. how did you know that?”, I said as I smiled sheepishly, which later earning a smack on my back head again. I groaned in pain as I caressed my back head.

“Choi Sooyoung! Be serious, or I will appoint Sunny to replace your place as a CEO”, my mother said sternly.

“Mwoh? That dandyu? You’ve got to be kidding me, mom!”, I replied in surprise.

“Just be serious, otherwise...”, my mother threatened me.

“Ara, ara!”, I replied as I rolled my eyes.

“Call Miss Jessica right now to come inside”, she ordered me to call the latter.

“Dae”, I just complied, and got up from my chair. I headed to the door to unlock it. I walked towards her who was waiting at the provided chair.

“Ermm.. Miss Jessica, let’s get inside back”, I said as I smiled.

“Dae”, she replied as she smiled back at me, and quickly got up from her seat. I then led her to get inside the room.

“Please have a seat back, Miss Jessica”, my mother said to her.

“Dae”, she said as she sat on the chair.

“Alright, after having a short discussion with my colleague here, we agree to hire you as our designer”, her words just now really made me dumbfounded.

“Thank you so much ma’am! I promise I will work hard for your company”, she said excitedly as she immediately stood up, and bowed to us.

“You’re welcome, Miss Jessica. You can start your work on tomorrow, and report to Miss Choi Sooyoung first”, my mother said while glancing at me.

“Huh? Me?”, I mouthed to my mother as I pointed to myself. She just ignored me.

“Alright, is there anything that you want to ask?”, my mother said.

“No, ma’am”, she replied.

“Okay, so, we’ll see you on tomorrow then. Congratulations!”, my mother said as she stood up and walked towards Jessica to shake hands with her.

“Thank you once again, ma’am!”, she replied.

“You’re welcome”, my mother said. “Choi Sooyoung, what are you waiting for? Get up now. We have a meeting in 15 minutes time”, my mother said, made me gasped.

“Ara!”, I said as slowly I got up from my chair, pouted. I was about to walk to the door when Jessica held out her hand to shake hands with me, which makes me surprised with her sudden action.

“Thank you, Miss Sooyoung”, she said as she thanked me. Without thinking, I just grabbed her hand, and pulled her closer to hug her. The latter was shocked as she stood still, frozen.

“You’re most welcome, Miss Jessica, and congratulations. I guess, Mrs. Choi likes you. So, I’ll see you on tomorrow”, I said to her as I patted her back before I released the hug.

“D-dae!”, she replied, her face flushed. I swear I could feel her heart beating fast when I hug her just now. I tried to hold my laughter. She must be surprised with my sudden action.

“Ehem!”, Miss Soomeo.. err.. I mean, Miss Sooyoung, your mother is waiting for you”, Sunny interrupted as she suddenly appeared at the door.

“Haishh.. this Sungkyu! Always ruined my sweet moment!” I thought.

“Just shut up, Sungkyu!”, I exclaimed annoyingly while walking towards the door.

“Yah!”, she yelled as she pissed when I called by that name. I heard Jessica was giggling softly, maybe feeling amused with our small bickering.

“Pardon us, Miss Jessica. We’re usually not like this. Sometimes I have to teach this kid to behave in front of other people”, Sunny said to her while glaring at me. I stuck my tongue out at her, and she raised her hand, pretending that she wanted to hit me. I just let out a soft laugh.

“It’s okay, Sunny ssi”, she replied while glancing at me, and smiled.

“So, we will see you on tomorrow!”, Sunny said while grabbing my arm, dragging me to start walking. I waved my hand at her, and with that, we left the room, heading back to my office.

“Yah! What was that?”, Sunny exclaimed soon after we entered my office room.

“What was what?”, I asked as I was clueless with her question. I sat on my chair, and put my iPad and file on my desk.  

“Are you trying to flirt with her? I hope you’re not!”, Sunny replied while putting her both hands on her hips.

“What are you talking about, Bunny? I just want to be nice to my soon-to-be employee, that’s all”, I said as I leaned my back on the chair.

“So much wanted to be nice! Then, care to explain to me about the hug that you gave her just now?”, she said sarcastically.

“Haishh.. come on, Bunny. It’s nothing. I just want to be more friendly with her. I don’t want to act like some kind of bossy to her. Besides, she will be working under me, so, I want her to feel comfortable with me”, I explained to her. Somehow I didn’t know whether it make sense or not.

“Hahahaha.. comfortable? I think that Jessica girl would think that you’re some kind of creepy and ert boss”, she said while laughing sarcastically.

“Yah! Bunny!”, I snapped at her. She continued laughing like there’s no tomorrow.

“Ehemm.. Choi Sooyoung! In case if you’ve forgotten, I would like to remind you that meeting will be held in 5 minutes time. So, please prepare your presentation, otherwise I will ask Sunny..”, a familiar voice echoed through the intercom. It’s no other than our Chairwoman, my mother.

“Ara! Ara! Mrs. Choi! I know!”, I cut her words off while rolling my eyes annoyingly.

“Good. I will see you in 5 minutes time. Bye!”, she ended the call.

“What did your mom said just now? Ask me what? Is there something that I don’t know?”, Sunny asked, furrowing her brows in curious.

“Ermm.. nothing”, I said as I gathered the files and my laptop that needed to bring to the meeting.

“Yah! Choi Shikshin! You better tell me now. Otherwise…”, Sunny paused.

“Otherwise what?”, I asked her as I got up from my chair, ready to go to the meeting room.

“Otherwise I will ask your mother to transfer me at her office”, she replied as she threatened me.

“Please, go ahead. I don’t mind at all. I will ask that Jessica Jung to replace you.. hahahaha..”, I laughed as I quickly ran towards the door.

“Yah!”, she yelled while chasing me. I keep on running while laughing like a small kid being chased by her mother.

The next day, early in the morning

“KNOCK! KNOCK!”

“Come in!”, a voice shouted from inside.

“Good morning, unnie!”, I greeted my unnie while entering inside her room.

“Hey, good morning, Youngie! You’re early”, she said while fixing her blouse as she was getting ready to go to work.

“Unnie, can you please do me a favor?”, I asked her while sitting at the edge of her bed. She turned around to look at me.

“Sure, what is it?”, she replied, and walked towards the bed, and sat next to me.

“Ermm.. but, please, promise me first that you won’t tell mom about it”, I said with a serious tone.

“About what? Don’t tell me that you want to do something weird”, she said as she curled up her forehead.

“No, I’m not”, I shook my head in disagreement.

“Then, what is it?”, she asked impatiently.

“Ermm.. I want to ride my motorbike to work starting from today, can I?”, I said.

“Mwoh? Oh, no, no, no! I can’t let you after what had happened. Besides, if mom and dad know about this, she won’t let you, Youngie. No, the answer is no!”, she said sternly.

“Unnie, please... I’m begging you. I promise I will be more careful this time. Please, pretty please with a cherry on top!”, I begged her while giving my puss in boots eyes, my not-so-famous aegyo that she hated so much.

“Haishh.. stop that! Arasso. But, if anything happen, I want you to take the fully responsible on it, arasso?”, she said with a straight face. My eyes beaming in happiness, and I quickly hug her.

“Gomawo, unnie!”, I said excitedly, thanking her.

“Yah! You will ruin my blouse!”, she cried as she immediately release the hug.

“Hehehe.. sorry!”, I said as I stood up from the bed. I was about to walk to the door when my unnie stopped me.

“Alright, Choi Sooyoung. Ride your motorbike carefully. I don’t want second incident happen after this, arasso?”, she said as she stood up from the bed.

“I will, unnie. Don’t worry too much, okay?”, I replied as I patted her shoulder.

“Good. Get out now. I need to put my makeup”, she said, chasing me out of her room.

“Ara! Thanks again, unnie!”, I replied, and immediately headed out of her room.

I quickly took my helmet, and slowly tiptoed to the garage. My mom and dad still in their room, getting ready to work, I guess. I have already asked my maid to open the garage door early this morning, so that my mom and dad didn’t notice on it. I quickly pushed my motorbike out of the garage until the main gate. After the main gate is opened, I pushed my motorbike a bit far from our mansion, and quickly started the engine.

“BROM! BROM! BROM!”

I turned the motorbike handlebar for a few times as I rammed the engine. How I really missed this sound. It’s like a music to my ears. After making sure the engine is heat enough, I started to ride my motorbike in a moderate speed, heading to my office.

I was riding my motorbike, passing through the bus stop in front of the housing estate which located not far from my mansion. As I was looking at my right side, I saw a familiar figure was standing at the bus stop. I immediately made a U-turn, and headed to the bus stop. I quickly stopped my motorbike, and took my helmet off. The person looked surprised right after I took my helmet off.

“Hi, Miss Jessica!”

“Miss Sooyoung?”

Hello chingus! Here's an update for SooSica chapter. I hope you will like it. What will happen with these two? Will Sooyoung dare to invite Jessica to ride her motorbike?
