Our first date

Sooyoung’s POV

“DING! DONG!”

I pressed the doorbell, and waiting for the main door to be opened. I fixed my hair and checked on my attire as I wanted to look good on our first date. Our first date? Yeah, who doesn’t feel excited, right? Suddenly I heard the door being opened, and I quickly hide the flower bouquet behind my back.

“Oh, Sooyoung unnie! Jessica unnie will come down in any minute. Would you like to come inside first?”, Krystal, Jessica’s baby sister said right after she opened the door.

“H-hi, Krystal! It’s okay. I will wait outside”, I replied with a smile.

“It’s cold outside, unnie. Come, let’s get inside first”, Krystal said as she grabbed my arm and practically dragged me to walk inside her house. She led me to the living room and instructed me to sit on the couch. I just complied, and put the flower bouquet on the coffee table. Krystal smiled the moment she saw the flower bouquet.

“You know, unnie. My sister will certainly take a long time to make herself look good for you tonight. Hehehe..”, Krystal said with a giggle. Based on her words, I think Jessica surely had shared everything about her and me to her baby sister since they looked so close. Yeah, sisters will share everything. Same goes with me and my Soojin unnie.

“Chincha? It’s okay then. I did the same too, hehehe..”, I replied as I giggled too. But for tonight, I just wore a simple attire, a black checkered shirt covered with red sweater, black skinny jeans, red winter scarf, and dark brown trench coat since it’s winter time. I just want to have a simple dinner with her on our first date. While we were having our small chat, suddenly Jessica appeared, walking towards the living room. She also wore a simple attire, a knitted cream color sweater with a black skinny jeans and a light brown long coat hanged on her arm.

“Hey, sorry for making you waiting”, she said as she walked towards me. I quickly got up from the couch.

“It’s okay. I just arrived. Shall we go now?”, I replied and took the flower bouquet from the coffee table.

“Yeah, let’s go. Baby, take care yourself okay? I will be back home a bit late”, Jessica said as she walked towards her baby sister while giving her a hug.

“Don’t worry, unnie. Amber will be here soon. She will have a sleepover here tonight”, Krystal replied with a smile.

“Mworago? Yah! You didn’t tell me your girlfriend will be here tonight! Mom and dad will kill me if they know, you know!”, she exclaimed.

“Aishh.. we will not do anything besides watching a movie and sleeping, unnie”, Krystal said as she rolled her eyes annoyingly.

“You better be, Krystal Jung! Or else I will tell mom and dad about you two”, she said, warning her baby sister. Aigoo.. she’s so overprotective, huh?

“I’m not a kid anymore, unnie. I’m an adult already, geez!”, Krystal replied in annoyed tone. I just giggled silently.

“Whatever, Krystal Jung! Alright, I have to go now. Behave!”, she said as she pulled my arm and dragged me towards the main door. Aishh.. why the Jung sisters likes to drag me here and there tonight? Aigoo..

“Goodbye, unnie, Sooyoung unnie! Have a fun date tonight!”, Krystal said as she bid us goodbye. I managed to wave my hand at her back with a smile before being dragged out of the house.

“Hey, sorry for the small drama with my baby sister earlier. I really have no idea that her girlfriend will be with her tonight. She didn’t tell me earlier”, Jessica said as she smiled faintly.

“Nah, it’s okay. You’re so overprotective towards Krystal, eh?”, I said teasingly.

“Mom and dad asked me to look after her while they were in Italy for business trip. You know kids nowadays. They loved to do so many inappropriate things, like, you know..”, she said as she looked rather worried.

“You are worry too much, Sica. Just put your trust on her, will you? I’m sure she know how to take care herself. She said she’s already an adult, though”, I replied while giving her a reassuring smile.

“Yeah, you’re right. Maybe I am worry too much”, she said with a faint smile. I then took the flower bouquet and handed it to her.

“This is for you”, I said. She took the flower bouquet and smiled.

“Thanks, Soo. Never know you could be this romantic”, she said, causing me giggled.

“Only for you. Alright, we are getting late. Let’s get inside the car”, I said as I opened the passenger’s door for her. “Let me put this at the backseat”, I offered her to help putting the flower bouquet at the backseat.

“Thanks, Soo”, she thanked me and went inside the car.

“You’re welcome, princess”, I replied and quickly rushed towards the driver’s side. After putting the seatbelt on myself, I helped her to put the seatbelt on her. Once it has done, I saw she smiled shyly and quickly shifted her gaze to the window. I couldn’t help but to smile too, and quickly the engine. The car then slowly left her house, heading to our next destination.

“Welcome, Ms. Choi! Please follow me”, the waitress greeted once we arrived at the restaurant. She then led us to the reserved table. I have made an earlier reservation for dinner at my family’s favorite restaurant, and their staff had reserved the table near to the glass wall, so that we could see the beautiful scenery of Seoul city at night.

The waitress then laid the menu on the table, and stood still next to me, ready to take the order.

“Ermm.. Sica, what would you like to have for dinner?”, I asked Jessica. She was still reading the menu.

“I would like to have salmon steak with steamed asparagus and lemon cream sauce. And, sparkling water for drinks. That’s all. Thanks”, she said, placing her order. “How about you?”, she then asked me while put the menu back on the table.

“Ermm.. I would like to have a well done sirloin steak with barbeque sauce, carbonara pasta, one vanilla ice cream and one strawberry ice cream for dessert, and sparkling lemon water for drinks. That’s all. Thank you”, I said, placing my order.

“Alright, Ms. Choi. I will be right back in 20 minutes”, the waitress replied as she took the menu back from the table and bowed to me and Jessica before she left.

“Wow! You eat a lot, eh?”, Jessica said in teasing tone.

“Well, I have to admit that I am a shikshin. You should know by now”, I replied with a grin. Jessica laughed at my words.

“But, you didn’t gain a weight. How come?”, she asked in curious. I just let out a sly smile.

“I exercise though. I spent my every morning with jogging before I went to work”, I replied. Jessica squinted her eyes while looked at me.

“Nah, I don’t believe you. You picked me up early in the morning. When did exactly you went for jogging, huh?”, she asked in disbelief.

“I usually woke up around 6:00 a.m. and I straightly went for a jog for one hour before I went back home and get ready to go to work. But I lie on ‘every morning’. It’s actually alternate morning in a week”, I replied as I smiled sheepishly, earning a giggle from her.

“I knew it. Judging from your look, I don’t think you’re kind of an athletic person though”, she said with a chuckle.

“Yah, I am an athletic person!”, I exclaimed. She looked at me in amuse and laughed. Aigoo this girl! She really likes teasing me and loves to laugh at me, huh? Well, I really don’t mind. I loved to see her laugh because of me. Our conversation suddenly stopped when the waitress arrived with the food and drinks we had ordered earlier.

“Kamsahamnida!”, we thanked the waitress in unison.

“You’re welcome Ms. Choi, ma’am. Enjoy your dinner!”, she replied and bowed to us before she left. We then started to dig in our food. I cut the steak into a small piece, and brought the fork to Jessica’s mouth.

“Sica, say ah!”, I said as I gestured her to open , wanting her to taste the steak. She obediently opened , and eat the steak. She nodded her head and smiled.

“Delicious!”, she said while still chewing the steak. I smiled in satisfaction, and was about to continue eating my steak when she suddenly brought the fork to my mouth, wanting me to taste her food too.

“Ah.. open your mouth, Soo”, she ordered. I smiled and quickly opened my mouth. She feed me with a piece of the salmon steak which I already knew its taste because my unnie always ordered this menu whenever we had our dinner or lunch here.

“Mashisoyo?”, she asked. I nodded and continue chewing the salmon steak. We continued eating while chatting and once a while feeding each other. How romantic, isn’t it? Cheezy enough? Just endure it, readers..hahaha. But I love it. Never in my life I had this kind of experience as I always dream to have this moment with the one I love someday. And right now, my dream has already come true.

Jessica’s POV

After we had done with our wonderful dinner for the first time, Sooyoung brought me to her ‘secret place’ as she said. I felt nervous to think of what kind of ‘secret place’ she meant. My wild imagination could only think that maybe she will bring me to the place like five stars hotel to have, you know, having a ‘fun time’ with me. But, I don’t think Sooyoung would do that. She looked like a nice person. I don’t know her much since we knew each other less than a month.

“Alright, we are here!”, she announced soon after the car stopped at the parking lot. I smiled the moment I saw the place. It’s actually the famous ice skating rink place in Seoul which is Walkerhill Ice Skating Rink. Sooyoung is really a romantic person. This ice skating rink is really famous among couples during winter season. It has a romantic night scenery and located at the outdoor.

“Kaja!”, she said while opened the door for me. I grabbed her hand and slowly went out of the car.

“We need to exercise after having dinner”, she said, causing me giggled on her words. The ‘exercise’ topic never left from since the dinner time. Sooyoung really know how to be funny and serious at the same time. I really love this side of hers.

Since it’s really cold, I casually wrapped my arm around her waist, and my action causing her startled.

“W-wae?”, I asked. I could see her face flushed since the light from this place were really so bright.

“A-ani. Kaja!”, she replied, stuttered. I giggled softly as I felt amused while looked at her acting rather shyly. She was so bold at the office earlier, but now suddenly she turned into a shy person tonight. So cute! She slowly wrapped her arm around my shoulder. We then started to walk to the main entrance of the place.

“Do you know how to skate?”, she asked after she paid for the fees. She was holding a pair skating shoes provided.

“Of course I knew it. My parents used to bring me to a place like this when I was a little”, I replied. She nodded and suddenly squatted down to look at my shoes. I was surprised at first, but I just let her be. She then measured my shoes using her fingers.

“I think your shoe size is 6, am I right?”, she asked. My eyes widened in surprise.

“H-how did you know?”, I replied while looked at her rather amazed.

“I used to do my part-time work at shoes store during my college time. My mother asked me to learn everything about fashion before I worked with her”, she said. Wow! She’s really something. No wonder she became the CEO in such a young age. She knew everything about fashion.

“Ah, I see. No wonder you know about my shoes size, huh?”, I replied while looked at her in amuse. She just smiled in return, and went back to the reception counter to ask for another pair of skating shoes. She then pointed to the near bench and we immediately headed there. Once we get there, she gestured me to sit first and wait. She then squatted down and started to untie my shoe lace.

“Soo, I can do it myself”, I said.

“I want to do it for my girlfriend, so stay put, okay?”, she replied with a smile. The word ‘girlfriend’ which came from sounds so right to my ears, and it really gives me chills down my spine. My heart felt fluttered.

“Alright, done!”, she said as she had done putting the skating shoes on me.

“Thanks, Soo”, I thanked her. She just smiled while giving her ‘OK’ sign to me before she sat down and wore her skating shoes. She then got up first and stretching out her hands, wanting me to hold her hands to get up. Like in a drama scene we usually watched in TV, I suddenly lost my balance while standing and Sooyoung quickly caught me from falling down.

“Gwenchana?”, she asked, looked rather worried.

“I’m okay. Thank you”, I replied and thanked her.

“Be careful, okay? The rink might be a bit slippery”, she said.

“D-dae”, I replied without realizing we were in a hugging position. She stared intently into my eyes, and then her eyes shifted to my lips. I unconsciously bite my lips as I was anticipating her to make the next move. As expected, she slowly leans her face closer to me, and I quickly closed my eyes and…

“There’s an eyelash fall down on your cheek”, she said and blow an air on my cheek.

“M-mwoh?”, I replied. Did she do that on purpose? Teasing me with her ‘almost-

want-to-kiss’ action? Aishh.. this brat!

“Alright, kaja!”, she said while grabbing my hand, and pulling me to the centre of the rink.

Sooyoung’s POV

I knew Jessica was mad at me for teasing her with ‘almost-want-to-kiss’ action just now. It’s like I was the one who enjoyed the skating while she was practically forcing herself to skate with me. We were holding hands while skating together, and she suddenly stopped.

“W-wae?”, I asked, feeling rather confused with her sudden action.

“I don’t want to skate anymore. You just go ahead and enjoy yourself, okay?”, she said with a faint smile. She was about to let go of my hand when I suddenly pulled her into a back hug.

“I’m sorry”, I apologized and kissed her cheek. She froze in my embrace, and tilted her head to the side to look at me.

“Sorry for what?”, she asked in confused tone.

“For teasing you”, I replied. She then let out a soft sigh, and tapped my hand that was on her waist, gesturing me to pull off the hug. I did as she wish, and she twirled around, wrapping her arms around my waist.

“I’m not mad at you, Soo. It’s me who should say sorry to you. I shouldn’t acting like..”, she didn’t get a chance to finish her words when suddenly I cupped her face, and surprised her with a kiss. The kiss deepened as we finally expressed our inner feelings towards each other. We pulled off the kiss when both of us started to lose our breath.

“I love you”, I said to her. “I’m sorry for making you wait for our first kiss. I just want to make it special for us to remember”, I continued as I leaned my forehead on hers.

“I love you too”, she replied, and pecked on my lips. “Sorry for being so childish”, she apologized.

“Nah, it’s okay, babe. Having a childish girlfriend is quite challenging and fun”, I said teasingly.

“Yah! That’s not fun!”, she exclaimed and smacked my arm. I chuckled and quickly shushed her with another series of kisses. She smiled in between the kisses and pulled my head to deepen the kiss.

“I’m hungry”, I said after we pulled off the kiss. Her eyes widened in surprise after hearing my words.

“Is your tummy having a hole or something? You ate a lot during our dinner. How come you still feel hungry, huh?”, she asked.

“We just having our exercise in this rink, plus with our kissing activity just now. Both causing me to feel hungry again, though”, I replied casually while patted my tummy, causing her to crack up laughing.

“What a lame reason, Choi Sooyoung. Alright, let’s return this skating shoes first”, she said as she hooked her arm through mine, and we slowly headed to the reception counter. After we had done with the returning process, we then headed to the cafe which located next to the ice skating rink, and I ended up having some tteokbokki and pizza, while Jessica having an odeng (fish cakes) for supper.

“Thanks for the dinner date, Sooyoungie. I really enjoyed it so much”, Jessica said. We just arrived in front of her house.

“You’re welcome, babe. I’m glad you enjoyed our date tonight”, I said while unbuckle my seatbelt before I did the same to her. I quickly got out of the car, and rushed to the passenger’s side to open the door for her.

“Thank you, baby”, she said while flashing her gorgeous smile. B-baby? Oh em gee! She called me baby? I feel like my soul floating on the cloud nine.

“Soo, baby.. are you okay?”, I startled when I felt she patted my cheek as her face looked rather worried.

“I-I’m okay, I'm okay”, I said as I smiled reassuringly. “Come, let me send you to the door”, I said as I closed the car’s door, and intertwined my hand together with hers. We then headed to the main door of her house.

“Alright, I need to leave now. I will pick you up on tomorrow morning as usual, okay?”, I said after we arrived in front of the door.

“Okay”, she replied smilingly. I leaned closer and hugged her tight. She immediately returned the hug.

“I love you, baby. Sleep well tonight”, I said as I leaned closer to her face and kissed her.

“I love you too, Soo baby”, she replied in between the kisses.

“Yah, unnies! Get a room!”, I heard Krystal’s voice yelling from inside the house, and that causing us startled and quickly pulling off the kiss.

“Aishh.. that brat! Such a mood killer!”, she cutely grunted, causing me to chuckle.

“Alright, I have to go now. Good night!”, I said and pecked on her cheek for the last time.

“Good night, baby. Drive carefully, okay? Call me when you arrived home”, she replied.

“Arasso”, I smiled while waving my hand at her while heading back to my car. She waved at me back before she opened the door and entered inside. After she disappeared from my sight, I entered inside my car, and the engine, slowly leaving the Jung residence.

“I’m so in love with you, Jessica Jung!”, I exclaimed excitedly.
