I Love You - Part 2

Tiffany’s POV

It’s been two months since Nichkhun confessed to me that he likes me, and wanted me to be his girlfriend. I couldn’t give him an answer since I couldn’t decide whether I should accept him or not since Taeyeon was acting so weird towards me these days. Sometimes she acted so clingy on me, causing my love for her grew deeper and deeper. But, sometimes, she acted like nothing happened, and always said that we were close just like sisters. What was exactly in your mind, Kim Taeyeon? Is it just me who feels that way, or are you feeling the same but you just keep it inside? I felt so restless.

“Fany ah, is something wrong?”, Taeyeon asked. We were at the dressing room, getting ready to record for music show since we just made our comeback together. We were so busy with our schedules until we seldom could have a long talk just like we used to during our debut days.

“Ermm.. nothing. I’m just a bit.. tired, that’s all”, I replied with a faint smile.  

“Jinja?”, she asked. I just nodded my head.

“Wanna have our ‘ice-cream’ time after recording?”, she asked again. Sometimes when we were tired from our schedules, Taeyeon will asked me to join her for having a talk while eating ice-cream. That’s our special way to release tension while sharing some problems and thoughts about ourselves, and also our career. Taeyeon likes eating ice-cream so much since debut, so, she will buy a lot of ice-cream, and stored it in our dorm’s fridge, so she can eat it at any time she wants.

“No, thanks, Taetae. I think I just want to have a rest. Maybe taking a nap or something”, I replied. I glanced at her, and I could see she was pouting. Aishh.. please don’t do that, Kim Taeyeon!

“Arasso. Just get some rest when you go back later, okay?”, she said in concern.

“Dae”, I replied, and checking myself in front of the mirror once again before the assistant producer of the music show entered the room, and called us to get ready for the recording.

“Fany ah!”, Nichkhun called me right after all of the artists finished with the recording. His group also making their comeback within the same time, and it made us often to see each other in every music show program that we involved. Taeyeon has already left with her manager since he had other errands to do.

“Yeah?”, I turned around to look at him. He quickly walking towards me.

“Ermm.. do you have a free time after this?”, he asked.

“Yup, I don’t have any schedule after this, but I think I want to go home. I’m tired”, I replied. He scratched his head, seems like contemplating whether he should continue to ask me or not. I have to admit, he has everything that every girl wanted as a boyfriend. Cute, charming, polite, having a  nice body, and he came from a wealthy family. But, I don’t know why I'm not easily falling for his charm, although he did so many things to win my heart.

“Oh, jinja? Maybe next time?”, he looked disappointed, but still not giving up.

“Uhmm.. yeah. Next time”, I replied nonchalant. “I’m sorry, Nichkhun. My manager is waiting for me. See you next time”, I said as I smiled faintly before I left him.

“Jinja oppa? Hahahaha…”, I heard Taeyeon’s voice soon after I entered the dorm. Maybe she was talking to her brother, Jiwoong oppa on the phone. I saw the bedroom’s door was slightly ajar, so I decided to give her a chance to have her phone conversation, and settled on the couch to get some rest.

“You want me to be your girlfriend, oppa? Are you serious?”, I overheard her conversation, and it made me become curious. Who’s the ‘oppa’ she was talking to? I was in my own world as questions keep on bombarding my head, when I heard words that I never expected to hear.

“I would love to, oppa. Dae. Good night!”, she said as she ended the conversation. Taeyeon agreed to be that oppa’s girlfriend? I felt my heart crushed into pieces. I heard the door’s creaking, and I quickly closed my eyes as I pretended to sleep.

“Fany ah, you’re already home?”, she said as I heard footsteps approaching towards me. I tried not to make any movement, and still pretend to be sleeping.

“Aigoo.. why are you sleeping here?”, she whispered. I could feel she was caressing my hair. Urghh.. Kim Taeyeon, will you please stop doing those gestures to me? Can’t you see that I’m hurting? I then heard her footsteps away from the couch, and came back again. I felt a sudden warm as she put the thick blanket to cover my body.

“I know you’re tired, Fany ah. I’m sorry for letting you sleep here. I don’t want to wake you up because I will disturb your sleep. Good night, Fany ah”, she said as I felt her warm lips touching my forehead. Taeyeon ah, jebal!

“RING! RING! RING”

“Huh?”, I was startled with the ringing sound. I slowly opened my eyes, and found out that it’s already noon. I glanced at the coffee table where I put my phone on it, but I saw a yellow sticky notes beside the phone. I quickly got up and took my phone first.

“Yoboseyo?”, I answered the call.

“Fany ah, you already awake?”, Lee oppa, my manager called me.

“Dae, oppa”, I replied as my eyes still glued at the yellow sticky notes.

“Don’t forget to get ready for this fan meeting event, okay?”, he said as he reminded me.

“Yes, oppa. I know”, I replied again.

“Alright, I will pick you up at 3:00. Make sure you take your lunch first, arasso?”, he said.

“Arasso, oppa. Thanks!”, I replied as I ended the call. I immediately put the phone back, and took the yellow sticky notes. I read the content, and finally I got my answer.

Fany ah,

I’m sorry I didn’t wake you up last night. I didn’t want to disturb your sleep since I know you’re tired.

I’m going out with Leeteuk oppa today. I will be back late, so, I will see you.. maybe tonight? Don’t forget to eat your breakfast when you get up later, okay?

“So, the ‘oppa’ whom she talked to last night was Leeteuk oppa. Finally you have found your loved one, Taetae ah. I hope you’re happy with him”, I mumbled sadly as I got up, and slowly headed to the bedroom.

“Hi, Fany!”, I was in a middle of having my dinner with my manager oppa and stylist unnie when suddenly I heard a familiar voice greeted me.

“Nichkhun! W-what are you doing here?”, I said in surprised. I was just finished with the fan meeting event, and my manager brought us to have dinner together at the restaurant nearby the event place.

“Oh, I just had my dinner with my members here. I was about to leave when I suddenly saw you here. So, I just want to say hi to you”, he said with a smile.

“Ah, I see”, I replied as I smiled awkwardly.

“So, this is your favorite restaurant, huh?”, he said. I just nodded my head.

“Same goes with me. Maybe we can have our lunch or dinner together in here someday?”, he said with his eyes full of hope. I glanced at my manager oppa and stylist unnie, and they gave me thumbs up. What the..

“Ermm.. y-yeah. Sure..”, I replied hesitantly while glaring at them. They just grinned at me.

“Alright! I take it as a deal. So, I’ll see you next time!”, he said excitedly as he waved his hand at me before he left.

“Yah, oppa! Unnie! What are you guys doing just now?”, I said as I shoot a glare at them. They just chuckled.

“Fany ah. I think he likes you”, my stylist unnie said with a smirk. Oh Lord!

“For your information unnie, I don’t like him. I just think of him as a friend, that's all”, I replied with a straight tone.

“There’s nothing wrong with him, Fany ah. I think he’s a good boy. Why don’t you just give him a chance?”, my manager oppa said as he suggested. I groaned in protest.

“I. don’t. like. him. End of the story!”, I snapped.

“Alright, alright. Chill, Fany ah. Let’s finish our dinner, okay?”, my manager oppa said, trying to calm me down. We continued to eat our dinner as I ate my food quietly, while the two of them continued eating while chatting until we finished with our dinner, and it’s about the time for us to leave.

“Thanks, oppa, unnie. I’ll see you guys on tomorrow”, I bid them goodbye after I got out of the company’s car.

“Good night, Fany ah”, my manager oppa and stylist unnie said in unison.

“Good night, oppa, unnie! Drive carefully!”, I replied.

“Dae!”, my manager oppa said, and slowly drove the car away. After the car slowly disappeared from my sight, I started to head to my dorm’s building. While I was walking, suddenly I saw a car stopped in front of the building, and surprisingly I saw the person that was so familiar to me inside the car. I quickly walked away to find a suitable place to hide. I didn’t mean to stalk her, but my heart keep on saying that I should find out who’s Leeteuk oppa to Taeyeon.

“They seemed friendly and close”, I mumbled to myself when I saw the way they were talking to each other. Suddenly Leeteuk oppa hugged Taeyeon, and I couldn’t see clearly whether he kissed her, or whispered something to her due to the condition inside car which is quite dark with a dim street lights. I couldn’t care less as my heart already shattered into pieces. I didn’t realize when a single of teardrop on my cheek falls.

“You’ve already had your own love life, Taeyeon ah, and I think I should have to move on. Besides, we’re just sisters, right?”, I mumbled as I chuckled bitterly. I looked at them again, and Taeyeon already out of the car, bidding her goodbye to Leeteuk oppa while waving her hands at him. Leeteuk oppa slowly drove her car away. After that, I saw Taeyeon walking inside the building.

“Alright, Tiffany Hwang. Just pretend that nothing happen when you reached home later, okay?”, I mumbled to myself again before I started to head to the dorm’s building, with a heavy heart.

“I’m home!”, I announced my arrival after I entered inside the dorm. I took off my shoes, and put it on the shoe rack when Taeyeon suddenly appeared at the living room.

“Oh, Fany ah. You’re already home”, she said smilingly the moment she saw me. Yeah, when people were in love, they were always smiling, just like what she had right now.

“Taetae”, I said as I smiled back at her. I was about to walk to the bedroom when she suddenly grabbed my wrist, and pulled me to sit on the couch. I was startled at first, but I just followed her suit.

“So, tell me. How’s your fan meeting event went?”, she asked as she gestured me to sit beside her on the couch. I just complied, and put my handbag on the coffee table.

“Oh, it went well”, I replied. “Should I ask her or not?”, I thought as I still contemplating whether I should ask about her date with Leeteuk oppa today.

“Ermm.. h-how about your date with Leeteuk oppa today?”, I carefully asked. Her eyes got widened the moment I shoot the question to her, but then she just chuckled.

“Ah, the date went well too. Leeteuk oppa brought me to the amusement park. We really had fun today, like small kids though”, she said while smiling. Her happy smile, just causing my heart to feel like being stabbed thousand times by a sharp knife.

I shouldn’t ask that question. Of course she was happy to be able to spend time with her lover!

“O-oh, jinja? Good to know then”, I replied nonchalant.

“So, have you had your dinner?”, she asked.

“Y-yeah. I just came back from having dinner just now”, I replied as I shifted my gaze on the floor.

“Jinja? With Lee oppa?”, she asked again. “Why would you care whom I had my dinner with?”, I thought.

“Ermm.. n-no”, I lied. Yes, it’s about the time for me to move on, right?

“With who?”, she asked in curious.

“With Nichkhun”, here comes my lie! She looked surprise with my answer.

“Oh, jinja?”, she said. “Finally, huh?”, she continued with a smile.

“Y-yeah”, I replied half-heartedly.

“Congratulations, Fany ah!”, she congratulates me while patting my thigh.

“U-urmm.. y-you’re welcome”, I replied as I felt weird. I noticed her smile not as cheerful as before.

“Alright, I need to freshen up first. You should do that too, okay?”, she said. “Talk to you again later. Good night, Fany ah”, she patted my head before she got up from the couch, and headed to the bedroom.

“Good night!”, I replied while watching her walking away from me.

“We are different people to each other now, Taeyeon ah”
