Your head propped up in your hand. You couldn’t believe what your mom was telling you on the phone as you listen to her speak. Your mom had called to tell you that they needed you home immediately! Your dad got injured in his job, and can’t work anymore. His condition was in the best position right now, but he was in the hospital, being monitored by doctors. She needed you back so that you can help take care of the house and your dad while she works.

You: “Okay Mom! I got it! I’ll get on the first plane out” You said out loud in the phone while pacing. You were so focused on the conversation with your mother that you didn’t hear Jonghyun come in. He looks at you, waiting for to finish talking on the phone. You jump at the sight at him, and mouth ‘hold on’ to him. “Okay, Okay, yes, yes Mom, Okay Mom I got to go, I’ll call you later okay? Bye!” pressing the end button on your cell

Jonghyun: “What was that about?” coming to kiss you on the cheek as he wraps his hands around your waist

You: “That was my mom. My dad got hurt on the job and is right now in the hospital.” He looks at you with concerning eyes

Jonghyun: “Is he going to be okay?” Asking in a worried tone

You: “He’s going to alright but he can’t work. So that means I have to go back home to help take care of the house and him…”

Jonghyun: “In a few days right?”

You: “I have to leave first thing tomorrow afternoon….” The room becomes silent. He looks around the room, thinking about what you said

Jonghyun: “But you’ll be back in a few days…. Right?” Raising 1 eyebrow, leaning his head close to yours

You: “Jonghyun…” Pushing away from his hold and turning your back to him “I don’t know if I can come back…” You rub your left arm with your right “My Dad’s condition is pretty serious right now… I’m sorry” whispering the last 2 words, putting your head down in shame

Jonghyun: “Hey,” Coming in front of you, lifting your chin up with his hand “You don’t have to say sorry” He gets down to your level so that his eyes are leveled with yours “I understand, You don’t have much of a choice… and you have to go help your family. So don’t put your head down, I’m not mad or anything” Taking you in a tight hug.

The rest of the night he seats on your bed while watching you walk back and forth, packing your clothes. You work in silence; Not that you don’t want to talk to him, but more like you didn’t dare risk talking, in fright that you might start crying.

Jonghyun: “______,” Pulling you into his lap when you were passing him. It was already midnight, and you were working nonstop from 8 “Go to sleep already, you need your rest” He whispers in your ear. You don’t fight him and let him tuck you into bed, tired yourself. He kisses you on the forehead before wishing you sweet dreams and letting himself out. The last thing you hear before closing your eyes was the door locking shut.

After getting a few hours asleep, you were energized again, continuing your packing from last night. You sort through your clothes, picking the ones you really need when you go back. You planned on leaving some of your stuff here, and having them sent to you later. By 11, you were done packing, and was getting all your stuff into a taxi.

That night Jonghyun told s what happened to explain why he came home late. Jonghyun was laying on his bed with his earphone in, just listening to the songs quietly. Onew walks through the hallway and past Jonghyun’s open door. He backs up, looking into the room

Onew: “What are you doing here??”

Jonghyun: Seeing Onew, he takes out his earphones to see what Onew wants “What?”

Onew: “What are you doing here????” Repeating himself “Isn’t ______’s flight in…” looking down at his watch “1 hour?”

Jonghyun: “Yeah? So?”

Onew: “Aren’t you going to say bye?”

Jonghyun: “I’m not sure….” Hesitation in his voice

Onew: “You’ve been together for 2 years and you’re not even going to say bye to her when this might be the last time you see her!!?” Yelling a little

Jonghyun runs down the few steps and quickly calls out for a taxi. Once getting in, he tells the driver to head to the airport, stat! The driver quickly gets him there, and Jonghyun pays him, telling him to keep the change. He dodges through the crowds of people to your tunnel number.

You: Turning around to the direction of your name, you see him running “Why are you here??” Surprised to find him while he gasps for air

Jonghyun: Speaking through breaths, “I have something to give you before you leave” You wait for him as he takes finally catches his breath. He takes your face in his hands, pulling it towards him. He closes his eyes as your face gets closer to his. The touch of his soft lips kisses against yours; You close your eyes, melting into the kiss. Your hands cover his hands, pulling him closer to you, deepening the kiss. He passionately kisses you, his lips repeatedly kissing yours.
