Jin Woo walked away towards his car and dropped a small gift box he was holding onto for Ha Jeong; but in reality he felt as if she was ripping his heart apart.
Ji Eun walked past them holding back the tears. She opened the door and walked into the building.
Yongguk then finally let go of Ha Jeong.
“I-“ Ha Jeong tried to explain.
“It’s okay…I know why. I am sorry too…” Yongguk said slightly.
They both walked into the dorm quietly.
“Ha Jeong and Yongguk you are back…” Himchan said eating a muesli bar Ha Jeong had made for emergencies.
“I-I-I will be in my room…” Ha Jeong said running into the room.
She was in absolute shock. She had just kissed her ultimate bias. She knew it wasn’t because he loved her or because she loved him but, the shock was still there. She put her hand on her chest. It was beating a little faster than normal; she didn’t know if it was because of her ex or the fact she had kissed Yongguk.
Yongguk walked into his room. He touched his lip. They were still warm from the kiss earlier. For once, after seeing Ji Eun he wasn’t affected, he actually felt like his heart was beating again. He didn’t know if he was happy that he finally got back at his ex or the fact he had kissed Ha Jeong.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Himchan walked in.
“What’s up?” Yongguk asked.
“Yongguk….please don’t hate her…” Himchan pleaded.
“Hate who…?” Yongguk said already knowing the answer.
“Ji Eun. Just don’t hate her…” Himchan said.
“Leave me alone…” Yongguk growled.
Himchan sighed before walking out of the room. On the way he saw Ha Jeong walking out the door.
“Where are you going in the middle of the night…?” Himchan asked.
“I think I dropped my phone…” Ha Jeong said walking out the door.
Ha Jeong then ran out the building to look around the area. She found her phone. She smiled as she wiped off the snow.
“Yes! It is still working.” Ha Jeong smiled and got up but saw a small box that looked so familiar.
She went over and opened the box. There was a silver ring with the initials ‘Ha Jin’.
“What do you want to write on the ring?” Jin Woo asked hugging Ha Jeong in the middle of the jewellery store.
“I don’t know…maybe a word that has our names in it…” Ha Jeong said kissing him on the cheek.
“Ha Woo…?” Ha Jeong asked.
Jin Woo gave her a look.
“Jeong Woo?” Jin Woo asked.
“Hell no…” Ha Jeong said laughing.
“How about Ha Jin…”Ha Jeong asked.
“It’s cute…” Jin Woo said laughing. But Ha Jeong would never receive the ring.
Ha Jeong sighed staring at the ring. They even made couple rings but their period had ended; but did she really want to start anything with Jin Woo again.
Yongguk pulled the necklace he had made out of thin rope. It had a small pendant in the middle of the rope. It was made by Ji Eun. The one Ji Eun had been made by Yongguk. He stared at the necklace. He didn’t know if anything could ever start anything again knowing he had almost stabbed the person he loved.
The next day Ha Jeong got up out of bed in pain. The wound on her hand was still throbbing from yesterday. She shook her head in disbelief. She had done something without thinking. She touched her lip again and remembered the trace of Yongguk’s lip on her’s and smiled. But when she got out of her bed she saw the box with the couple rings in it. She shook her head and through them into the bin.
She walked out of her room but was pushed back into her room.
“I need to make breakfast…” Ha Jeong said.
“We will make it for you…” Zelo said smiling.
“I am afraid to eat what you guys are going to cook…” Ha Jeong joked.
She walked back into her room and stared at the couple ring in the bin and sighed loudly.
Yongguk was chopping the potatoes outside when Ha Jeong walked out of her room. They couldn’t look at each other. They knew they had only done it out of an act of revenge but they just couldn’t help but keep thinking about the kiss.
Ha Jeong sat down and eat the somewhat edible food and praised the first time chefs.
“Is your hand going to be okay…?” Daehyun asked.
Ha Jeong nodded and couldn’t help consistently glance at Yongguk once in a while.
Daehyun stared at Ha Jeong.
“Are you in a lot of pain? You are much quieter then you normally are…” Daehyun said.
“Iseul said she is going to hurt me if you get even the slightly scratch on you…” Daehyun said sobbing thinking about the events occurring before her.
“I-I-I am fine…” Ha Jeong stuttered.
It took a few minutes to get ready but they eventually arrived at the recording studio. Yongguk was working with the other workers and Ha Jeong had fallen asleep. Eventually Jin Woo turned up and they began to work on the composition and then the members headed inside the studio to practise for their actually recording.
During the time B.A.P sang Easy he couldn’t help but stare at the sleeping Ha Jeong.
‘If we break up, I’ll never see you again. Words that I regret the most right now…’
He saw Ha Jeong smile in her sleep but he felt the pain in his chest again.
‘I pretend nothing is wrong, who will know my heart’
He grabbed his chest and pulled out a small bottle filled with pills. He swallowed two of the pills and massaged his chest. It was temporary relief but it was better than nothing.
Ha Jeong fell of the couch so he ran over to her and tried to help her up onto the couch and saw a necklace with the couple rings Jin Woo and Ha Jeong had made together; the one he dropped in front of her place. He smiled slightly to himself hoping there was some hope for him.
Ha Jeong woke up and instantly moved as far away from him as possible and looked away. Jin Woo saw Ha Jeong’s injured hand.
“Are you okay?” Jin Woo asked.
“Since when did you care about me…?” Ha Jeong responded coldly.
“I was only asking since I could see the blood seeping through the bandages…” Jin Woo stated
Ha Jeong started to undo the bandages and Jin Woo could see the deep cut in her hand. She pulled out a new roll of bandages and tried to wrap it around her hand but struggled. Jin Woo sighed before he grabbed her hand started to wrap it with the bandages.
“I can to it myself.” Ha Jeong said and tried to pull her hand out of his grasp but he ignored her and continuously wrapped the bandage around until her hand was in a stable position.
Ha Jeong looked away and pulled her hand away from his.
“Ha Jeong-ah…I know I am the one who broke it off but I really did miss you…” Jin Woo whispered.
Ha Jeong didn’t say anything but a million things were running though her head.
Jin Woo went back to watch the B.A.P members but grabbed his chest and winced but he held it in. He did not want Ha Jeong to see him taking pills. So he walked out of the room. His footsteps were heavy but he dragged himself out and leaned against the wall outside and took the pills.
The doctors had told him to reduce his stress and depression levels since it was his conditions worse.
“Ha Jeong, seeing you make me feel both depressed and delighted…” Jin Woo sighed smiling.
Ha Jeong sat there on the couch and stared at her hand which Jin Woo had wrapped for her.
“I missed you…”
She knew she wasn’t supposed to feel like this but she couldn’t help it. Her heart for him had begun to beat again.
Ji Eun walked towards the recording studio and saw Yongguk walking out. Himchan dragged the other away and let them be alone.
“I am sorry about what I said…” Ji Eun said not looking him in the eyes.
“I am sorry about my violent actions but I won’t take back what I said…because I meant all of it…” Yongguk chided.
Yongguk began to walk away.
“I had to leave you….it was for you…” Ji Eun cried
Yongguk ignored her and continued to walk away.
“Please don’t be like this. My heart has and still is beating only for you…” Ji Eun wept.
Yongguk felt the pain in his chest again but continued to walk away.
Ji Eun stopped her tears with a tissue. She knew he wouldn’t understand, but she did it was for him. She left him for his own sake.
“Yongguk…I still love you…” Ji Eun whispered as the last tear escaped from her eyes.
“Ha Jeong-ah…I have never stopped loving you…” Jin Woo whispered watching Ha Jeong leave the building.
Yongguk and Ha Jeong were thinking the same thought as they leaned against the wall.
Chapter 16: She knows she wrote a book about BAP, but she doesn't remember YG. Overall, this story was like a kdrama, lots of plot twists, melodrama and it even had 16 chapters. Great job.
