Flashback

“YUUUUUURRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIII-YYYYYAAAAAHHHH”

Yuri felt the wind knocked out of her as Sooyoung tackled her down in her hospital bed. The tall girl started sobbing so loudly, that it was almost comical to look at.

“Sooyoung… calm down… I’m still alive.” Yuri pats her bestfriend’s back. “OW”

Yuri rubs the back of her head while casting a glare at Hyoyeon. Why does her bestfriends be so physically abusive?

“You idiot!” Hyoyeon screeches out “We thought we lost you!”

Yuri thought she was a goner too, she breathes in a silent prayer of thanks as she runs her hand on the bandages on her chest. The doctor said the bullet missed her heart by a couple of centimeters, if it just swerve a bit, she would be laying on a cold marble right now.

“I-I got lucky.”

Hyoyeon tries to wrestle Sooyoung out of Yuri’s arms. Yuri looks up and sees Yoona standing by the door, her eyes swollen and blood shot and her nose all red. Yet, Yuri couldn’t help but smile. For her, Yoona still look like the cutest thing ever.

“Hey.”

“Were going to grab some lunch…” Hyoyeon says as she sees the way the two love birds gazing at each other “We’ll bring you some food too, c’mon Soo…”

“Cafeteria! Who hoo!”

Yoona bows politely as the two pass by. But the moment the door closes behind them, Yoona runs to Yuri’s side, burying her face on Yuri’s chest as she cries her heart out.

When she heard the news that Yuri suffered three gunshot wounds to the chest from a shootout, she felt like her whole world just crumble.

She was such a mess the two days that Yuri laid in coma. No matter what her unnies and Seohyun do, she wouldn’t stop crying, even in her sleep she was still in tears.

“Hey, hey… it’s ok… I’m ok.” Yuri coos softly, running her hand on Yoona’s hair. It wasn’t the gun shots or her battle to stay alive that scared her most, it was the fact that she might never see Yoona that scared the life out of her.

“No, you’re not! Do you know how close it was to hitting your heart?”

“Close but it didn’t… I’m still here…”

It was crazy how Yoona misses the feeling of Yuri’s lips on her. She clutches tightly on Yuri’s shirt as she lingers in Yuri’s kisses.

“I felt so helpless, so useless…” Yoona looks up to gaze back at those dark brown eyes that she have been missing to see for two days. “I’m a doctor, yet I couldn’t even save the most important person in my life.

“Well… you’re a different kind of doctor…” Yuri teases Yoona hoping to lighten up the mood.

“Yeah, but still…” Yoona starts drawing circles on Yuri’s palm with her finger. “The thought of even being apart from you kills me Yul…”

They didn’t knew who started it, but the next thing they know their lips have met in a passionate lip lock.

“Don’t ever leave me…please Yul, please…”

“I’ll never… Yoong… I promise you I will never…”

She will never leave Yoona, that’s why she was right there, fighting for her life instead of giving up.

“NOOOO!!!!!”

And just when the zombie was inches away from snapping at her, Yuri was able to push his chin with her hand and with her other hand starts smashing the of her gun at the zombie’s skull. It made a cracking sound and with every hit, splatters of black ooze started to spray on her.

UAAAAARRRGGGHHHHH

There were two other zombies closing in on her. Their arms are now outstretched and any second now they were going to claw at her. She kicks the zombie straight at the gut, making it collide against the other two who were on their way to ripping her apart.

Yuri could hear herself panting heavily, and she could feel her legs about to give up on her.

Right now, it seems impossible but if she’s gonna die, she’s going down swinging…

With only the eerie sounds of the low hum of the flurouscent lights, the sound of the glass shattering could awake any living dead around the distance.

“I have always wondered why they put the ax inside the fire extinguisher box…” Tiffany says amusingly as she stares at her improvised weapon which she took from the fire extinguisher box. “Now I know why.”


Seohyun shakes her head wondering if her ax wielding unnie is really such a good idea.

“How about you Seo? What is your weapon going to be?”

“I would try not to fight them and just run away, It would be a much smarter choice.”

“Yes… we know that but what if it caught you or something?”

Seohyun was the one who usually thinks of the worst but now the girls are making her more paranoid than usual.

“Well, just take this…” Yoona shoves the fire extinguisher at Seohyun. “If you see them coming at you just spray away…”

“I don’t think that might work…”

“Better something than nothing…”

The three doctors have seen bad situations but not as bad as this. The hospital walls have almost been covered with a dark crimson red. The hospital beds stained with black ooze with some grey matter. It’s not until they almost step into dismembered body that the three felt the urge of vomiting.

Yoona quickly turn them around from the gruesome sight. Seohyun was walking behind the three carrying her weapon as she and her Tiffany unnie trails behind Yoona. Yoona finally break, sighing in relief as she finally saw a computer in the nurse station.

Yoona sprinted towards the desk but just as she was closing in, a dismembered body was staggering towards them from the south.

RUUUUUAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH

From where Yoona was standing she could see a bloody slime dripping from the side of its rotting mouth.
Tiffany couldn’t help but let out a yelp, she have encountered the victims during their research but not one like this where she could see the bloodied mouth that’s ready to rip her to pieces.

“I’ll handle him…”

Yoona steps between her friends and the computer.

“What?” Tiffany and Seohyun couldn’t understand Yoona’s ridiculous idea.

“I’ll try to get rid of him, hurry to the computer and find out where Yuri is.”

“B-but…”

“Now!” Yoona yells out in desperation, trying to control her voice.

She takes a deep breath, got herself in a shooting stance before raising her arms out at the coming monster.

“Help me do this, Yul…”

Flashback

“A shooting range?” Yoona says amusingly…

Yuri instantly mistook Yoona’s amusement to disappointment. She sighs heavily trying to figure out a way to avoid looking more of a failure in front of her ideal girl.

This was probably the worst date Yoona have ever been in, Yuri thought. How could she even think of listening to Sooyoung, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon for love advice?

Be yourself, show her something about you… Why on Earth did she listen to that?

And why on Earth did she bring Yoona to a shooting range, instead of the typical movie date? This was her first date with Yoona and from the looks of it there might not be a second date.

But what Yuri doesn’t know, Yoona have never been this happy. Yoona have always harbor a crush over the shy detective and she couldn’t even explain the excitement although Tiffany have to listen to her talk giddiness, when Yuri shyly wrote Would you go out on a date with me? on one of the paper napkins.

“I ummmm…kekekeke” Yuri chuckles nervously, wondering if she still have a chance to save this God awful idea of a first date. “Well, would you like grab something to eat?”

“We could get something to eat later.”

“Huh?”

Yuri saw Yoona flashing that gorgeous smile, no wonder everyone in the police department is head over heels over her. She was just so damn beautiful. But Yuri was brought back to reality when her stomach flipped the moment Yoona took her hand on hers.

“I have never been in a shooting range, let’s go…”

Yuri must have look like such a dork as she just smile while staring at their locked fingers. It was surprising how contented Yuri felt right at that moment, just having Yoona’s hand intertwine with hers.

Yoona smiles back at Yuri, her thumb circling around Yuri’s hand. This was the first time that Yoona didn’t care about anything else, this was the happiest that she has been.

She knew that she have always liked Yuri, liked her so much that she couldn’t even fit the right words to explain why. But what made this unbelievable is that Yoona finally realize something, that it wasn’t just like that she felt for Yuri, it was more than that.

She have fallen in love with Kwon Yuri. Always did and always will be.

“Crap…” Yoona says between her gritted teeth, as she missed the target for the second time.

“Hold on a bit Yoona…” Seohyun says out “It’s taking a bit longer to load”

“Move over…” Tiffany shoves Seohyun off the swivel chair. “I’ll handle this”

Yoona takes a couple of steps backward creating a space between her and the rotting flesh approaching her.

RUUUUUUUAAAARRRGGGHHHH

BANG

Yoona shoots again but the monster didn’t even flinch as his cheek came flying from the bullet.

“How long does it take?!”

Tiffany ignores her shaky hands, trying to concentrate as she starts to type madly, the list of the patients starts scrolling down in front of the screen.

“6^th floor! 6^th floor! W29!”

Tiffany’s handwriting were barely eligible as she scribbles Yuri’s room. Yoona let out a sigh of relief, she raise her arms again and shoot. This time finally hitting between the forehead making the enemy drop to the ground. She smiles happily, knowing full well that Yuri would be proud of her.

As she lowers her gun, she sees three more ghouls coming their way. But she’s not going to play hero anymore, it was time to run.

“Let’s go!”

“I HAVE TO GO BACK! I HAVE TO!”

Hyoyeon tries to yank Sooyoung down as the girl was determined to run back to her friend.

“No Soo… it’s crazy, we can’t do anything… no weapons to help her. We’re just going to make Yuri end up saving our butts than us saving her.”

“I CAN’T! I CAN’T JUST LEAVE YURI LIKE THAT!”

Hyoyeon have to tackle Sooyoung to the ground to keep the girl from going back to danger.

“Soo… get a hold of yourself! Yuri step in there to save us and you know Yuri, she’ll make it! she will!”

“Are you nuts?! They are going to eat her alive!”

“What can we do, Soo, tell me? we have no weapons, no nothing! What can we do?!”

Sooyoung could feel the hopelessness washing over her that very moment.

Flashback…

Sooyoung thought she’s sleep all through the night, but instead she woke up right around 2 am to the sound of her own snoring. She rubs her eyes sleepily and saw Yuri, sitting on her cot, gazing thoughtfully out the window

“Yul?”

“Oh… hey… couldn’t sleep?” Yuri asks…

“I woke up… You ok?”

It was a stupid question, especially with Yuri, the girl is probably worried sick about her girlfriend.

“I’m sure she’s okay…”

Yuri smiles faintly at the thought of her girl

“She’s probably worried sick about you, but she’s just as tough as you and at least she’s not a dumb@ss like you so she would be okay…”

Yuri chuckles softly, as insulting as it might be, at least she felt a bit relieved.

“What you got there?”

Yuri finally let out a small smile and showed Sooyoung what she had. Sooyoung oooohhhh as she sees the two platinum wedding rings inside the blue velvety box

“I bought it before all these crap started happening, I never got the chance to leave it back home.I should have left it in my car, there would probably be a bigger chance of Yoona getting it, rather than having it now”

“Are you kidding me?! You Kwon Yuri? Not make it out alive? Aren’t you like super girl or something?”

Even with the dim room, Sooyoung could see Yuri’s face flushing with red.

“It’s something erted, huh?”

“Ummm… ahhhh…” Yuri started to blush some more. “I don’t know…”

Sooyoung could only smile, she and the rest of her friends all knew how the nickname came about, even if Yuri was too embarrassed to admit it.

She told Hyoyeon the moment she heard it from Taeyeon, who heard it from Tiffany, who of course heard it from Yoona.

It started out as a little codename that Yoona and Tiffany had for Yuri when they first started dating. Yoona would tell Tiffany that Yuri is the best she ever had and how completely addicted they were with each other, that one night doesn’t seem to be enough for them to make love.

It was Tiffany who started teasing Yoona that she was dating super girl and Yoona couldn’t agree more in a way that nickname/codename stick.

Of course Yuri being the shy type was the last one to know, she was quite surprise why Taeyeon have started teasing her as super girl and soon everyone just followed. When Yuri asked Yoona about it, Yoona told her a completely different reason, how she was such a brave and amazing cop that she was better than superman because she was super girl. And Yuri, the whipped girlfriend that she is, believed at once.

It was during one time when they were making love that Yoona accidentally screamed out Super girl that Yuri finally pieced out the puzzle. Yuri have wanted that nickname to be just for Yoona, but now all her friends call her that. Much to her dismay…

“This job…”

Sooyoung finally return back to that padded room and turn to the hopeful girl sitting right beside her.

“What about our job?”

“There are like so many times that I feel like quitting… that all the pressure that the chief and all the higher ups are putting us through. But then I think of Yoona, how she always tell me how proud she is of me and somehow that’s all I needed, just knowing that the girl of my dreams will always be there for me.”

“That’s why we need to survive this, Yul.”

Yuri turns toward her bestfriend who was giving her, her signature Sooyoung goofy grin.

“We need to get out of here alive so you and Yoona can get married. I don’t care if the priest turned out to be a zombie or something, I’m going to do what I can so you and Yoona will finally have your happily ever after.” Sooyoung punches Yuri lightly in the arm “You two deserve it more than anybody else. And I want to be standing right next to you while you watch Yoona walk down the aisle”

Yuri smiles lovingly at the thought…

“She’s going to be the most beautiful bride in the whole world…”

“Yup, and she’s yours… So, why don’t we try to get some sleep and hopefully you two could meet up and make crazy love…”

Yuri chuckles lightly “Shut up…”

“Yeah right like what are you two going to do after you hug and kiss each other, and say how much you love each other, huh? Huh?”

“Whatever… but thanks Soo…”

“Anytime…”

End of flashback

“No! I can’t let this happen…”

The girls watch in horror as they saw Sooyoung running frantically around the hospital corridors and came back pushing in front of her a hospital bed.

“Yuri save our butts more than once! It’s time we save her!”

Sooyoung starts pushing the hospital bed back down to that hallway.

“YUL MOVE!!!”

Yuri jump out right in time as the hospital bed starts zooming towards her way. The hospital bed mauled over the two ghouls trying to get Yuri.

“Are you fukcing trying to kill yourself?!” Sooyoung screams out as she yanks Yuri . “Think of Yoona…”

“Yoona…”

“Yes her! Now let’s go…”

Sooyoung practically lifted the stunned Yuri out of there. The runaway hospital bed didn’t kill the zombies but it was enough to buy them time to escape.

“Guys slow down, this fire extinguisher is hea-“

“Shhhhh….”

Yoona silenced Seohyun as she pulls the girl back to the narrow hallway. The girls took a peek and saw four disfigured bodies all huddled over what the girls could only guess was some poor body. It would take a miracle for them to get through them before they reach the stairs.

“We can’t risk it, even if it’s the closest way to the west wing. We can’t just go through there, we have to go the other way.” Seohyun suggested.

Yoona says “We don’t have time Seo. And if we turn around, we won’t even know if the other way is safe too. This is our best bet, the only thing we need to do is create a distraction”

“How?”

Yoona quietly shuffled out of the hallway and pointed her gun on the other side.

“The moment they go there, we’ll run up the stairs. Don’t look back, just run.”

Tiffany and Seohyun don’t think it was a good idea but they simply nod, knowing that they don’t have any brilliant ideas either.

The girls cringe as the bullet shattered a glass window, and from the corner they watch as the ghouls starts to stagger towards the source of the sound. They didn’t even let out a breath as the living dead walk passed them.

They waited until the ghouls were a few feet ahead when the girls squeeze their way out, and runs out to the stairway. But the shuffling of the girl’s shoes, alerted one of the zombies. It spun its head around catching the three sprinting towards the stairs.

RUUUUUUAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH

He quickly alerted the other zombies with him and soon they all turn, their arms outstretched to grab the girls.

Luckily the girls were able to dash up the stairs but right before they move to the next plight, there was a monster ready to devour them.

RUUUAAAAARRRGGGGGHHHH

“Ahhh crap…”

The girls turn back around and see the ghouls that they have escaped earlier were now crawling up the stairs towards them.

“KYAAAAAHHHHH!!!!”

As panic starts to take over her, Tiffany lunges her ax at the zombies. Unfortunately for the girls, it hit everything else except the zombies…

“Unnie…” Yoona groans “You’re supposed to use the ax in close encounters.”

“I’m sorry… I’m sorry…”

It was time for Seohyun to make a move. She push the lever of the fire extinguisher, pointing it at the incoming zombies heading towards them. The sound of their moans grew louder as they were continually sprayed by the white foam.

“What now Yoong?”

And while Seohyun handled the crawling zombies, Yoona took her gun, ready to take out the zombie stepping down to grab them.

Yoona raised her arm up hoping to aim better this time as she squeezes the trigger.

BANG.

“YURI!”

Jessica has been day dreaming to finally return back to Yuri’s arms. And just when she was about to make her dream come true of jumping in Yuri’s embrace, a silly elf got on her way…

GRRRRRRRR… goes Jessica as the midget have been her first to Yuri’s arms.

“Yuri!” Taeyeon says excitedly “I’m so glad you’re ok!”

“Ummm thanks Taeng…” Yuri says confusedly…

Taeyeon turns around, giving her mortal enemy something to anger her more.

Taeyeon gives Jessica a merong…

ARGH! Jessica growls angrily…

“Whoah… what’s that sound?” Taeyeon jumps down from Yuri “Is that you? Shika? Guys! She’s turning into a zombie! Let’s beat her up before she eats us…”

“I’ll beat you up, wait a second- change that- beat you down, since you’re so short…”

“GRRRRR…” It was Taeyeon’s turn to growl “And you think you’re tall?”

“Oh please, Frodo… everyone looks like Yao Ming when they’re standing next to you.”

“Why you?! GRRRRR”

“Hey… Hey… that’s enough…” Yuri steps in between the two. “Those things are the enemies here, were supposed to work together, remember?”

The two steps away from each other…

BANG

The girls quickly swerve their head at the sound of the gun shot.

“Somebody is here… Let’s go…”

Seohyun gasps as the fire extinguisher runs out and the zombies were still pushing themselves to get them even if they were covered with white foam.

Seohyun ends up lugging it, fortunately knocking one out of the way.

Meanwhile Yoona wasn’t doing any better as she couldn’t aim at the head. But next thing she knew she saw half of the head just getting blasted off.

“Get down!!! Get down!!!”

“Huh?”

BANG. BANG.

“I said get down!”

The three girls quickly crouched down as they saw two guards starting to gun down the ghouls crawling towards them.

BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG

“Oh thank God…”

The ghouls have now been reduced to a mush of flesh as they were gun down completely by the two guards. Tiffany manages to exhale as they manage to escape death once again.

“Are you ok, doc?”

“Yes. We are. Thank you.” Yoona bows down politely.

But once she looks up, Yoona don’t feel like she has anything to thank for when she saw the way those two guards were eyeing them. Their stares more sickening than those of the living dead.

“Anything for you, Dr. Im…” Says the much taller one

His lust was completely obvious from his voice, his eyes devouring the three gorgeous women from head to toe. They were all stunningly beautiful but for him, the doe eyed beauty was the one he wants to ravage.

“Officer, were here to see Det. Kwon, do you know if she’s ok?”

The shorter more stocky build his lips as he looks at the girls.

“Why would you still look for her, when were just right here?”

Yoona bows down politely, not wanting to aggravate these armed men by being aggressive. “Again… Thank you for saving us, but we have to go…”

Yoona pulls Seohyun and Tiffany,

“Whoah… whoah… whoah… baby…”

The taller guard held onto Yoona’s wrist, his lips curving into a maniacal grin.

“Is that all were going to get for saving your…” He his lips once again as his eyes travel at Yoona’s back “really nice behind.”

Yoona yanks her wrist out, shooting the guy a glare.

“Right now, we didn’t bring any money, but I promise officer as soon as we get out of here, we’ll pay you any amount you want.” Yoona negotiated.

But instead of agreeing the men just laugh at her face.

“We’re living in a ****ed up world now, doc… Money can’t help you survive now…” He steps closer to Yoona “ But don’t worry, I think you’re more than enough for a payment.”

Yoona pulls out her gun, aiming it straight at the guy’s face.

“Make one more step and I’ll shoot you…”

The two guys raise their arms not in surrender but more in amusement.

“Ooooohhh feisty… I like them like that…”

“Oh c’mon sweetheart, aren’t you three getting lonely? Why don’t we keep you girls company?”

“ACK!”

“Seo!”

The shorter guy was able to take Seohyun, quickly putting the muzzle of the gun under her chin.

“LET HER GO NOW!”

“Don’t make it difficult as it already is, gorgeous… We’ll make sure you girls have a great time”

“NOW!”

Yoona points her gun at the man, no matter how shaky her hands were.

“I won’t do it if I were you… You don’t want you’re my friend to blast your friend’s pretty head off just because you’re being a difficult b!tch…”

“YOU TWO ARE SICK!” Tiffany spatted out “Worse than those zombies out there! How dare you do this?!”

“Do you think we give a fukc?! People are eating people now! What were doing here is nothing compared to them!”

He was able to catch Yoona off guard, pulling her gun away. He quickly grabs hold of Yoona, his hand pressing on Yoona’s cheek, while his other hand is on her thighs.
“LET ME GO!!!!” Yoona starts trashing herself but the guy’s grip only got tighter around her.

“Ah! Ah! Ah!”

He shakes his gun teasingly at Tiffany who was about to step in.

“If you want both your friends to live, you better shut your trap now…” He sniffs Yoona’s hair, inhaling at the sweet strawberry scent of Yoona’s locks. “Ohhh… Dr. Im, you’re so fukcing beautiful, No wonder everyone in the department wants to have a piece of you. It’s such a shame you ended up with a chick.”

“Yuri is much better than any of you!”

He laughs… “But where is she now? I bet her body is rotting here somewhere. No way she could live”

Yoona screws her eyes shut as she could feel his hot breath on her neck.

“You smell so good, I bet you taste good too…”

He sniffs Yoona again…

“Don’t worry Yoona, I bet you’ll forget all about Kwon when I’m done with you…”

Before he could say anymore threats, the feel of cold metal press behind his head stops him.

He was about to turn around, but he couldn’t even flinch when he heard the low, threatening tone speaking behind him.

“Let go of my girl now…”
