CHAPTER TEN

-“OMO! She moved! She is squishing my hand” yoona said excited

Dr. Kang called Dr. Smith took all the tubs and machines connected to her and  start to test her motor responses, but she wasn´t moving or talking she was just holding yoona´s hand really tight, her eyes were open but there were no sign of life in them, she was just staring at the sealing.

-“what is it? She is ok now? She is awake!” Krystal said and approach to the bed.

-“i´m afraid that Miss Jung might be in a vegetative state, is not a 100% certain, we´ll know after we run a few tests” Dr. Smith said and look at Jessica’s hand.

-“but that means she can´t move or talk, then how is she holding my hand so tight?” Yoona ask at Jessica’s eyes

-“we´ll know better after running the tests, I think is better to start working with her now, you may wait outside please” Dr. Smith lead them outside and went for the nurses and the necessary equipment

-“Dr. Kang she will be ok? She woke up, isn´t that a good thing?” yoona said trying to let go of Jessica’s hand, but Jessica didn´t release

-“I don´t think she wants you to leave, stay a little longer i´ll be right back” Dr. Kang said and leave the room looking at the ground

-“you don’t want me to go? Then tell me, do something! You can’t give up now!!” yoona said breaking down in tears again

Just then Jessica turn to face yoona and a tear fell down her cheek.

SOMEWHERE IN THE HOSPITAL

-“so harry do you think she will be ok?” Dr. Kang said looking straight into Dr. Smith eyes

-“I can´t promise anything Michael, but I will do everything in my power to bring that cheerful and bright girl back, I can promise you that” Dr. Smith said and put his hand on Dr. Kang shoulder

-“this was her biggest fear, the reason she didn´t want to do the surgery, she didn´t want to became a ‘paralytic parasite’ to us” he said and tears start to fall

-“we are going to do everything in our hands to not let that happened, but you need to be her family right now not her doctor, so you are from now on out of her case i´ll keep you posted about everything I promise” Dr. Smith said and walk away from Dr. Kang

-“i´m sorry for hitting you earlier, I know is was hard for you too” Mr. Jung said and put his hand on Kang´s back

-“its ok, I deserved that and more, I should have told you maybe the surgery would work  before, this is all my fault, i´m the doctor I should have done something” Dr. Kang said still crying

-“is not your fault, we all know how our SooYeon is when she makes up her mind, so just like people says let the past where it belongs and lets focus on what is important now, how is she” Mrs. Jung said

-“is almost 100% certain a vegetative state, it means she won´t be able to talk or move at all, never again” Dr. Kang said looking at the ground

-“no! Unni moved, she hold yoong unni’s hand, she is not paralyzed, she is not!!” Krystal said and run away from her parents and Kang.

-“how is that possible Michael? She moved” Mr. Jung said trying to keep faith

-“it could be a reflex only, we will know more after Dr. Smith runs the tests” he said

-“what do you mean ‘he runs the tests’ what about you?” Mrs. Jung said confused

-“you know Jessica is like a daughter to me, so I have personal problems in this case, so is forbidden for me to participate in any medical procedure done to her, medical rules, i’m so so sorry” Dr. Kang said

-“its ok, you trust him don´t you? Otherwise he wouldn´t be her right? Our SooYeon needs us all, her family besides her, so let´s go and see her ok?” Mrs. Jung said and holds her husband hand and grabs Kang´s with the other.

-“yeah lets go”

A few hours latter

Everybody where inside Jessica’s room, she had her eyes close and barely breading, yoona was besides Yuri, tiffany was holding Jessica’s hand besides the bed, Krystal fell asleep after crying her eyes out on a couch, and the Jungs and Kang where looking at the rest from besides the door.

-“the results are out now, she is not a vegetable, but the motor side of the brain got really damaged, so she won´t be able to move her body by herself, we can try medication and therapies to try to make her move but there is not guaranty that she will, and about the talking it seems to be problems too but with the therapies and a lot of support she will talk again, about her memory we can´t know if its damaged or not we will have to wait and see” Dr. Smith said

-“are you sure? It’s a final diagnosis? When can she start the therapies?” Dr. Kang said

-“tomorrow if you want, but she will need all of you to do the therapies with her, in cases like this the support of the loved ones is really important but the will to live of the patient will make the final decision” Dr. Smith said

-“she will do it, our sica is a fighter, she won´t give up she promise she wouldn´t and she never breaks a promise” Yuri said and gave a little smile away  

3 weeks latter

Hi everybody, I know is taking me a really long time to update but is just that I couldn’t decide if Jessica was gonna die or not, but I made my mind now so the updates will be more often… for a few more chapters I will post the individual stories of everybody and Jessica, how they met, memories together, etc. oh! And Taeyeon will be back and a few more characters will appear, so wait for it.
