CHAPTER FIFTEEN

YOONA POV

-“I love you too” I heard Yuri unni said to sica unni

I saw a letter in her hand; I think she is the first of all of us in read unni´s letter, when am I going to be ready to do that.

-“hi yoong” Yuri unni said and waved at me

-“hi unni, you read the latter already?” I said looking at her hands

-“yeah, there is no point in keep waiting, better sooner than later right” Yuri unni said and look at unni

-“are you ok unni? Need someone to talk to? I’m here remember?” I said and she looked down

-“I knew her since we were 4 years old, in the neighborhood nobody wanted to play with me, they said I was weird and crazy, then Jessica move in and she was really beautiful, and good in soccer so the kids try to keep her from playing with me, it was like that for a couple of weeks, then some kids start picking on me and she stood up for me and told them not to do it, they start offending me and she told them ‘stay away from her and leave her alone, she is not doing a thing to any of you!’ since that day she was with me all the time, she was my only friend, the only kid that didn´t matter what everybody said about me being weird, all the kids stop talking to her too but she didn´t care she didn´t leave me, since then it´s been the two of us against the world” Yuri unni said and hold on to unni´s hand, and I squeeze her arm a little

-“she is a super women to me you know, ever since we were little till now, she does everything she can and more to help people, one time we were 8 and there was a terrible storm and I was home all alone---

Flashback

The lights when off because of a big storm, in Yuri’s mom office, she couldn´t leave because it was dangerous to drive with that weather. She was worried because her little girl was afraid of darkness and if the lights when out there too he daughter would be really scared

And just like her mother fear, lights were out in her house too, Yuri was in her room, covering herself with the sheets, the thunders noise was like bombs in yuri´s ears, she was calling for her mom but she wasn´t there, she was scared.

-“umma!!!!” she kept screaming but no one answers

Just then a bid  noise was heard and  a lighting hit Yuri’s house, she didn´t know what to do so she hide herself under the bed, she was shaking and crying and calling for her mom, when she felt a couple of hands trying to pull her out of bed.

-“no no ! “She started to scream when she heard a familiar voice

-“its ok yul, i’m here you are not alone!, its ok!” Jessica said and then hugged her really tight

-“i’m scared, umma is not here” Yuri said but didn´t let go of Jessica’s embrace

-“I know, but i’m here, and I promise not to let anything happen to you, wanna go home with me till, imo comes home?” Jessica said and Yuri just nod in agreement

-“ok let’s go then” Jessica said and walked home with Yuri holding her hand.

When they arrived to Jessica’s room, she put Yuri to bed and lay down with her, Yuri still crying hugged her tight and told her

-“don´t leave” she said between sobs

-“never” Jessica said

Since then every time Yuri was afraid she climb Jessica’s window and sleep with her. That was the place she felt the safest.

End of flashback

-“our houses were so close that we could see our rooms from afar, we used to write each other notes and post them in the windows” Yuri unni said and tears began to form in her eyes

-“I always picture her as a fearless girl, able to do anything she wanted, indestructible, you didn´t knew her before yoong but she was an amazing person, always cheering us up, always telling us how good we were, always giving without specking anything in return and told us to never give up on a dream.” Yuri unni said and tears became to fall down her cheeks.

-“I know she was unni” I said and patted her back

-“this seems unreal to me yet, I keep thinking she is sleeping, that any minute she will wake up and everything will be the way it was, I miss her, I feel like a huge part of me is dying along with her, how am I gonna be able to wake up every day, to eat, to smile, to be happy when I know she won´t be there to do all of that with me” Yuri unni said and covered her face with her hands

-“we had a life plan you know, we were gonna get married at 25 and have 3 or more kids each, and we were gonna take them everywhere together, amusement parks, soccer games, the girls to ballet, the boys to karate or boxing, after our kids grow up, we were going to buy two houses on the beach and rest our old self’s there, how am I gonna full fill our plan without her?” I didn’t knew what to say, I knew they were close but I never imagined they were THIS close,

-“thanks for listening yoongie, I needed to get it out of my chest you know” she said and smile a little whipping her tears away

-“any time unni, any time” I didn´t knew what else to say.
