It has been days your parents hasn’t contacted you ever since their leave to Hong Kong for a business trip. You were starting to get worried for them for some reason.
You looked outside and noticed how the rain is pouring down harshly to the ground.

Pit Pat Pit Pat.

As you were watching the weather, there was a shock of lightning through the gloomy clouds. You didn’t like rainy weather because it gave you a sense of loneliness and sadness. You were immersed into the scenery when suddenly there was a knock on the door.
“Hello, Is Park Min Young in the house?” said by a deep voiced man.
“Coming” you said. As you opened the door, a gush of cold wind caught you by surprise, and then you stared at the man standing in front of you.
“May I come in Miss Park?” said the man. 
“Sure.”
You went to the kitchen to make tea for the man, but you were stopped by his hands. You look at him weirdly. “It’s alright, what I need to tell you is really urgent.” He said. You stared at him with an uncertain face. “I don’t know how to say this, but the flight back from Hong Kong to Seoul crashed into another plane and had an explosion and shattered leaving no one alive on that plane. Your parents…” He sighed. “Mr. and Mrs. Park were on that plane.”

A plane crashed into another plane? My parents were on that plane? As you were thinking that, the man interrupted your thoughts. “I have come here to inform you that there are no possibilities that your parents are alive, I’m sorry Miss Park.” You stood there in shocked. “It can’t be, y-you’re lying…” You couldn’t even finish your sentence. You tried to keep yourself stable but you just collapse to the ground. No. Don’t leave me…Mom…Dad…you’re the only family I have. The man tried to help you but you stopped him. “Please, I need the time alone. You may now leave.” The man gave you a sad look. “I’m sorry for your loss miss, may they rest in peace.”

You heard the door close. You are left there alone on the cold ground in the living room after hearing about your parent’s death. Not too long ago, your parent’s company was on the verge of bankruptcy, your parents went to Hong Kong to try and deal with the business issues and now they’re gone.

Everything is going by so fast. Everything is gone before my eyes. My parents are gone, now I’m left alone with no one. A teardrop fell as you thought about your parents. Drop after drop, you started to cry, matching the drops as the rain.

Pit Pat Pit Pat.

You woke up the next day by the sound of your phone buzzing, leaving 56 messages and 11 phone calls from your friends. You didn’t feel like facing them now. You touched your face and you felt that your face is soaked in tears. The pajamas you wore are filled with the sorrowful tears you let out. Then realization hit you, the information given to you yesterday still fresh in your mind.

My parents… You thought back. Then you thought of something. If my parents died in the plane, the man told me that the plane crashed and exploded. Why didn’t I ask him how that happened? Sigh. Something is wrong, I can feel it.

You checked the clock, it was Monday 6:30AM. You are supposed to go to school, but because of your parent’s bankruptcy you couldn’t. Everything was gone; the big house you use to live in, your clothes except for 3 pairs of clothing left behind, food, and money. Now, you don’t have absolutely anything since your parents are gone. You are living in a small house your parents could find with their emergency money they kept. For the time being, you are able to use that money for food and shelter for about a month or two.

You the little TV; you were going through the channel. Then images of your parent’s face were shown on TV, describing the incident of the plane crash and referring back to your parent’s company’s bankruptcy. You couldn’t take it anymore and just turned off the TV. You wanted to call your friends, but there was a feeling inside of you that you wanted to be alone. Then you decided to think about getting a job.

I guess I’m going to have to stop my education plans until I have enough money. Guess that means I have to find a job to help with the expenses. You took one of the outfits that was left behind, and decide to wash your face and walk outside to find a newspaper. You found one and went to a nearby café to look for new hiring in the newspaper. You started to circle the jobs that most likely fit you and decide to visit each and one of them.

As hours pass by, you went to different job places and were not qualified for specific reasons. You went to the last choice of jobs that you chose.

Inspirit Café, this is it, the last one for today, either I get this job or continue looking for another job tomorrow. Please let me get this job.

You opened the door to the café, it was stated in the newspaper that they are hiring a new waiter/waitress and cashier. You went in and you were greeted by one of the workers. “Hello, welcome to Inspirit Café, how may I help you today?” “Actually, I’m here to talk to the manager, I heard you guys are hiring people” You stated to the worker. “I’ll call him right away, please wait a sec.” You nodded as the worker went to get the manager. Not so long after that, the manager came with a bright smile, greeting you as he told you to sit down to talk. “Okay, State your name, age, choice of position, reason, and experiences.” The manager said to me. “My name is Park Minyoung, I am 17 years old, I would like to work as waitress or cashier, and I am in need of a job for money to help with my expenses. I don’t have much experience with anything, since I haven’t yet worked before and this will be my first time.” You stated with confidence.

The manager just looked at you and then spoke, “May I ask you why you are suddenly looking for a job now?” “Well, I’m living alone with no support at the moment, so I am in need of money for food and shelter and possibly school expenses.” You stated while looking down. The manager couldn’t help but felt bad for you, he didn’t want to interfere and ask about your personal reasoning so he decided to hire you. “Miss Minyoung, I’ll hire you as my waitress, you are able to work tomorrow.” “Thank you so much Manager! I won’t disappoint you.” You said to him while bowing to him.

He gave your uniform and your time shift table, you stayed back to learn the basics from some workers. You then came home after the training and decided to take a shower and rest. Forgetting to call back your friends, you decide to send them a text

You couldn't help but smile at the encouraging messages your friends gave you.

This is it Minyoung, to be able to find out about my parent’s death I have to move on, and be able to live off on my own first and uncover the secrets in a longer process. My first day of work is tomorrow. Mom and Dad, I won’t disappoint you, whoever did this to you will pay for what they did. I’ll become a strong girl just for you; hope you watch over me from above.

You went to your bed, turned off the lights and drifted off to sleep. Little did you know, behind your back, someone is out there spying on you, recording everything you are doing.

[A/N] Well.. first chapter, here it is. Tried to go for a depressing feel, hope it works out xD. I'll try to improve as time goes. You guys are probably like, "What is happening?!" It shall be revealed little by little later on >:3
