A ray of light shone from the window. It aimed directly for Gayun's eyes. Not only that, but a ring tone had her arise from her comfort. She figured it was morning, seeing that the clock displayed it to be A.M. She rubbed her sleepy eyes as she looked around the room. The ringing hadn't stopped and so she reached over to the bed-side table to retrieve it. Annoyed by the tone, she proceeded to answer. 

"Hello?" The morning had eaten her voice away. 

"Gayun-ah, today's the day." Her manager had acted as if she was getting married or something as spectacular. 

For a moment Gayun hadn't realized what she was speaking about. It soon hit her when a knock came from the door. Jonghyun's head popped in to look at her. 

"Morning, Gayun-ssi." He welcomed himself in. 

She was still on the phone with her manager so she raised a finger for him to hold.

"Get ready by 10. We'll be down at the lobby by then." She simply instructed. 

Gayun made it clear that she knew well of what to do. She hung up, then focused her attention to the dino sitting on the free bed. He took advantage of the spare time to make himself cozy. 

"We have an hour to get ready." She spoke. 

"So what do we do until then?" He questioned as he tossed a pillow in the air. 

"I don't know... We could practice?" She suggested. 

Jonghyun nodded and sat up, squeezing the pillow in his arms. 

"We should be prepared on what to say..." He paused before rubbing his chin. "Ah, why don't we ask questions about each other and we could answer them as accurate as we think. If we get something wrong, we could just correct it." 

Gayun seemed to be satisfied with his suggestion, "You go first." 

Jonghyun pursed his lips and thought of significant things to ask. 

"...Who is Kim Jonghyun to you?" 

Gayun brought the first thought out of her head. 

"A loser-bonko who's composed with idiot." 

"YAH!" He growled. He proceeded to correct her. "Wrong. Your answer should be..." He cleared his throat before making his voice into a high pitched one. "The number one man in my life, after my father that is." He teasingly imitated her. 

"Since when is my voice that high?" She pressed her toungue on the roof of to create a "tch" sound. 

He laughed in response. "Okay, your turn." 

"Why are you such an idiot?" 

"Why aren't you in jail by now, since you've probably harassed inoccent women before?" 

"How come your head is so big?" 

"Have you stopped growing at such a short height?" 

She chuckled after flooding him with such insulting type of questions.  He pouted seeing that she was amused by his reaction. 
He sulked and crossed his arms before throwing in his defense. 

"I AM NOT SHORT!" Was all he even cared to comment on.

"Without your man heels you are." She pointed out. 

"THEY ARE NOT MAN HEELS! THEY ARE SIMPLY THERE TO SUPPORT MY SHOES."  He squinted at her, before smirking. "WELL AT LEAST I DON'T RELY ON EXTRA SUPPORT FROM A BRA!" 

Gayun gasped before looking at her chest. She covered them, before fuming at his remark. 

"I-I don't wear a push-up bra!" She stated. 

"Suuuuure. That's not how it felt when I was carrying you." He snickered. 

"ERT!" She threw pillows at him once again in a huge rage. 

"How are we going to last in front of the camera if we can't even handle reality with each other?" Jonghyun sighed. 

"Fine, time to be serious." She fixed her posture as they sat face to face on separate beds. 

They actually took it seriously this time. Questions regarding personal preferences were asked and answered. Every minute, they seemed to be getting to know each other better. They found that they surprisingly did have much in common. It shocked Gayun the most, because she was one to believe that she had great taste. And to figure that Jonghyun had some same interests techinically meant that he had great taste as well. The conversation winded down to an end when they took notice of the time. It was 15 minutes from 10:00, and they had to be ready by then. Jonghyun smiled as she excused herself to change. After the conversation, he was in relief that they weren't much strangers as they were before.

They decided to somehow match outfits, in a formal way. Afterall they were going to be viewed on television. Jonghyun had much experience being on shows and everything, while Gayun wasn't too used to being filmed and all. It was mainly, because of the fact that her group had only debuted several months ago. They made their way down the lobby. When they finally arrived, they found that the Managers were sitting at some sort of waiting area. It was exactly, 10:00 a.m. aharp. They were greeted by the managers, and so the two bowed respectfully. 

"I expect no problems today. Are we clear?" Manager hyung strictly commanded. 

Jonghyun and Gayun nodded, understanding his expectations. They were escorted to the van. Jonghyun was going to make sure he would impress his manager. He couldn't help but think of the rest of the members of SHINee. He was slightly envious of the fact that they were free from having to do all sorts of hectic shenanigans. He pushed those thoughts aside, since he realized that it was practically his call. He wasn't cooperating at that time, so this was his consequence. He believed that the other members would be overwhelmed with this whole situation, and so he figured that it was best that he handled it. 

Gayun thought of her members as well. She was slightly satisfied with the fact that they were going to be show-casing their fake relationship to everyone. It was her chance to show her members that they were wrong about assuming her to be a lonely lady who lacked the power or desire rather, of love. Which, in reality, was true. Gayun only did this to save her pride, not because it was genuine. If she hadn't heard her dongsaengs gossiping about her, then she would've never volunteered for such a scheme. That was a problem for Gayun, if she had something to prove, then she'd go in depths of frustration just to be right in the end. 

The trip was quicker than they predicted. They arrived at the broadcasting station, where they would film their interview. 
Manager had specifically arranged the interview not to be live. He was afraid of Jonghyun or Gayun accidentally messing up in a way that would make the public suspicious of their relationship. They entered, and was soon greeted by the staff. There were many people. It wasn't too big of a deal, since it was a popular broadcasting station. Many schedules were fit into one day for the station in particular. In fact, Jonghyun and Gayun's interview would be the first.

"Annyeonghaseyo." It seemed to be a woman that was going to interview them. She was pretty for her age-- which seemed to be in her late 30s. Jonghyun couldn't help but flatter her with a cheesy compliment. Gayun rolled her eyes. She should've seen that one coming. 

"Aigoo. I can't wait to get to know about your juicy relationship!" She enthusiastically smiled. 

"I have this feeling you will be everyones' favorite pairing after today."

Jonghyun and Gayun thanked her, before making their way to a room. They were taken by their managers, who had wished them good luck before leaving. Gayun and Jonghyun sat in the comfortable love seat, as they waited for the interviewer to arrive. 

"We got this, okay?" Gayun rubbed his hands on his lap. 

"Inhale." Jonghyun instructed. 

They both took a big deep breath. Jonghyun exhaled, and Gayun followed his action. 

"Fighting!" Gayun smacked his back. He arched his back slightly, after her harsh skin-ship. Before he could complain, the interviewer had walked in. 

"Sorry for the wait." She placed her coffee down on the table and walked to the seat in front of the two. She sat down preparing her cards in her lap. 

"Let's get started." She smiled. 

A red light flashed. It looked like one of those sirens you find on top of a police car. Though in this case, it was a sign showing that they were filming. A voice from the speaker had announced that they were now rolling. 

"Annyeonghaseyo, welcome to KBS's COUPLE HOT-SPOT." The interviewer professionally introduced. 

"Today's topic and guests are the newest and hottest couple who were officially spotted by fans in public. Their scandalous story is provided here. Please welcome.... SHINee's KIm Jonghyun and DIAMOND's Park Gayun!" 

Jonghyun and Gayun bowed and introduced themselves politely. 

"Wow. These two are quite charming just looking at them." 

"Thank you." The two smiled. 

"So... your relationship! This was quite a shocker for a lot of people. We have a growing fan-base for your pairing already. 
Give us a back-story on how you two came to be." 

Jonghyun decided to answer first. He did his best to answer as natural as he could be. 

"Ah, that. Well, I met her at one of the idol-group parties that was specifically thrown for New Year's Eve. She caught my eye at an instant, and I didn't hesitate to approach her in a friendly way. I thought she looked cute, because of how she was laughing with her group members. Though, she stopped when she noticed me coming by. We talked for a while, and I exchanged a memorable moment with her."

Jonghyun paused and thought of the scene where he slapped Gayun's bottom, and how she reacted violently. He decided he should change that. He looked at Gayun who seemed to be nervous at what he was explaining. It was almost like her eyes begged him to not ruin her image. She was secretly flattered with his honesty so far. She liked these words, rather than the ones she heard at the party. 

" There was a spark between us, and so I just knew I had to keep in touch. We exchanged numbers, and after that night... We couldn't stop texting." He smiled. 

"Aigoo~ How sweet!" The interviewer squeaked. 

"Gayun-ssi. How did you feel when Jonghyun approached you so randomly?" She turned to Gayun this time. 

Jonghyun looked at Gayun. He was anticipating for her answer. He wouldn't know if it was going to be a sincere thought, or if she was only acting for the camera. Nevertheless, he still anxiously waited for an answer. 

"To be honest... I was slightly intimidated. He was a popular sunbae, while I was a rookie- artist at the time. I didn't feel too comfortable. And when he began talking to me so confidently and with a flow, my mind had instantly thought of him to be suave. Even if it did come off to strong. I admit I was overwhelmed, since it had been a long time since I was approached by a man."
To Gayun, most of what she was saying actually came to be true. She was at least a tad bit thrilled the time when Jonghyun approached her. Though the feeling changed after a while, since it was a long time since she really even exchanged words to a man who took interest in her.  

"Even so... I gave it a chance. And here we are now." Something in her had possessed her for she placed her hand onto Jonghyun's, squeezing it. 

"What a sweet story. Our Jonghyun must've fallen for you at first sight! Look how appealing you are." The interviewer praised. 

Gayun thanked her. Her cheeks were starting to burn red with all this cutesy act that was being played out. 

"I feel that  her beauty is becoming more revealing every time I look at her." Jonghyun grinned. He and Gayun locked eyes for a mere second. They were then distracted by the beeping sound coming from the speaker. The same voice from earlier announced a break from filming. The filming then came to a stop. 

"We'll continue this in 15 minutes. Go ahead and loosen up and feel free to visit the snack table!" The interviewer kindly informed. 

Jonghyun and Gayun agreed. The interviewer had made her way out, while the two remained stiff. They were so overwhelmed with how the interview was going so far. In the inside they felt so- fluttery? Something Gayun hadn't felt in so long. Jonghyun's cheeks were flushed due to his commentary on Gayun. Jonghyun cleared his throat. 

"Good job so far." He praised.

"You too." Gayun responded, before getting up. 

"I'm going to check out the snack table." She dismissed herself. 

"I'll go with you." Jonghyun followed from behind. A cloud of awkward had appeared above their heads. Who knew acting could affect how they really act?

Jonghyun and Gayun almost left barfing after the first half of their first shoot as a “couple.” The fact that they answered such personal questions, and practically not being prepared was a challenge they thought they would’ve never pulled off. Gayun was roaming around backstage...when she heard a familiar voice.

“Don’t tell me…” She squinted her eyes to see whom the voice had belonged to.  Her predictions were correct. It was Himchan. She mentally cursed as she took a loaf of bread off the snack table. She used it to shield her face. She didn’t want to be recognized by him, after that dramatic scene she caused. As she was backing away, she had bumped into a figure. She turned around to find Jonghyun munching on a taco.

“What are you doing?” He caught her hiding behind the loaf of bread.

“Shut up!” She hushed with her finger.

She went around him to hide behind his back. She peeked over his shoulder to see Himchan making his leave from the snack table. Gayun smacked Jonghyun’s back in relief. He winced in pain with the harsh contact.

“You know… you’re really freaky sometimes…” Jonghyun mumbled, before visiting more parts of the stretched out snack table.  Gayun scoffed before making her way to the ladies' restroom. She wanted to wash her face, because of the burning sensation her cheeks were feeling. She rushed to the restroom, but was only stopped by someone. She figured it was Jonghyun, since he had always followed her. She blew the air and turned around to shoo him away.

“Ah, Gayun-ssi? I think you dropped this?”

It was Himchan holding the loaf of bread that she didn't realize she abandoned... on the floor.

Aish.
