“Honey, we’re home!” a voice called through the house in English, and Minho removed his eyes from his laptop, blinking several times. He glanced at the clock across the room and gaped at the time, not realising six hours had gone by, just like that. Sitting up more, he waited for the four boys to make their way into the living area.

“So hungry,” Jonghyun complained as he threw himself onto the free couch, grunting as Taemin climbed on there with him. “Move.”

“Stop hogging the couch then,” the youngest said, his voice slightly muffled.

“I was here first, go nag Minho to move.”

“Smart one hyung, Minho needs his leg up.”

“Do you boys have to fight every time we get home?” Key asked the pair that sat up, sharing the couch together with a glare. Key shot them a look before glancing over at Minho. “You’re wearing your glasses.”

“I was reading,” he told the boy and Key tilted his head to the side. “I didn’t realise I had been reading so long though.”

“What we’re you reading eh?” Jonghyun enquired, getting up and moving across the room with ease, unlike his dramatic entrance before. He leaned over to see and then started to laugh, covering his mouth with his hand. This only garnered more attention and Minho frowned.

“You’re on the international forum,” Key stated and Minho nodded. “You actually listened to me?!”

“Well you sai-”

“Oh, pranking you is so easy!” Jonghyun cried happily and gave Key a high five.

Onew, being the last to arrive in the room, let out a yawn before approaching the boys. “What’s going on?”

“Minho is reading fan-fiction on the international forums!”

“Well,” Minho started, shooting the excited Taemin a look. “I was really bored and thought Key was serious that he uses them to practise his English.”

“Wow,” Jonghyun breathed and looked straight at the taller boy. “You really are stupid.”

“Oi!” Key retorted with a slap and then pointed at the screen. “He’s found something good here, listen to this.” The boy cleared his throat before continuing. “Key, who had just returned home from shopping with Nicole and Amber for the day, opened the door and called out Honey, I’m home in English before dumping his assorted bags in the hallway.”

“Woah hyung! Didn’t you just say that before?!” Taemin reminded and Key nodded proudly. “That is cool!”

“Is there anything about me?!” Jonghyun wondered, smacking Minho’s hand away and scrolling down a little.

“Guys-”

“Yeah, maybe it’ll be about how much you snore when you sleep,” Key said with a laugh and Onew joined him.

“Or how loud you are when you eat.”

“Oh look! I’m flexing my muscles!” Jonghyun exclaimed with high satisfaction and Minho shook his head, trying to gain their attention again.

“Actually guys its not-”

“What, that’s not right, like you flex your muscles all the time,” Taemin replied with a pout, folding his arms across his chest and kicking the couch childishly.

“Well I am manly,” Jonghyun announced proudly, flexing his arms then just to add to his happiness.

“What does it say about me and Taemin?” Onew asked and Minho sighed as Key stepped into read again. He scrolled down some more and then stopped, laughter erupting from him a moment later.

“What?!”

“It’s saying how Minho is on the phone to Eunhyuk, making plans to catch up for dinner with him and Leeteuk hyung!”

“This person is really good!” Taemin, forgetting his childish tantrum, mentioned in awe. “What else does it say hyung?”

But Key didn’t answer right away, Minho noticing what it said on the page and began to smirk. Finally it was quiet and he was able to inform them all. “This fiction is a comedy. It’s taken some of our aspects and twisted them. Like for instance, Key is gay in this.”

Onew snorted. “He’s what?!” Receiving a death glare, the eldest let out an awkward cough. “I mean, of course Key wouldn’t like men. We always say he’d be the best to date girls out of all of us.”

“And you’re always angry and swearing lots,” Minho continued, the leader of SHINee giving him a weird look. “Jonghyun is always crying, trying to prove he’s manly or telling us to clean up. I’m always with the hyungs, wanting their attention and Taemin is, well, off experiencing more women than my older brother has had in his life.”

Taemin, who had taken a drink of juice, sprayed it out everywhere and looked at his friend with wide eyes. The others remained silent until Key rolled his eyes and pushed himself away from the screen. “It’s just fiction guys, and trust Minho to choose a bad one.”

“Yeah, like I cry lots,” Jonghyun tried to justify with a huff of air, and the others dispersed into the kitchen to think about dinner. Minho couldn’t help but chuckle to himself at their change in reactions, and scrolled back up to where he had been reading. Although some of the topics in the story were weird, he’d been laughing all day over the story, imagining his friends as the characters in it. And between each chapter, it followed with comments from their fans, laughing and enjoying a story that perhaps wouldn’t exist if they didn’t have little quirks that led to this. He decided to bookmark his place in the fiction and close out for the night though, noting the serious atmosphere in dorm.

Minho couldn’t wait until the others were off practising again the next day so he could keep reading.

How is everyone liking it so far? This is one of my favourite earlier chapters, just because we get the atmosphere. I love how interested all the guys get and then disperse quickly when they realise it's poking fun at them all. What was your favourite bit?
