10| Jongin-ah
Day Lilya/n. it's almost ending folks!! I'm not sure how this will end but it could be a sad one
Several days passed by and Kyungsoo was definitely healing. Why perhaps? After finding out the truth, how could he have possibly healed? Simple. He has forgotten everything. What does he remember though?
"Kyungsoo, be a dear and come here."
Kyungsoo obliged and walked towards his mother who was holding something in her hand. It was a post-it. Kyungsoo tried to read the eyes of her mother. There was a hint of hope and a hint of sadness but then there was a hint of worry and something else that Kyungsoo couldn't understand.
"Tomorrow, someone will be picking you up. You don't need to pack your bags, you have nothing left here." Kyungsoo could only nod. He did not dare ask. But he couldn't help but feel how normal this was. It was as if it happened before... But why couldn't he remember it?
"Oh and water the plants before you leave." The mother says and Kyungsoo nods, a small smile playing with his plump lips before turning around to get out of the house.
He reaches the entrance of the gardenhouse and finished watering the plants. He sees a dead lily and throws it in the garbage can. When he asked his mom who owns the garden, she says with a surprised look that his best friend gave it to him. Kyungsoo could only give her a questioning look.
"But I don't have any friends, mother."
****
The mother knew there was something wrong, but she rather not push or ask. It doesn't matter to her anyway. So instead of saying the garden was once owned by Chanyeol, she said that their father gave it to him before he "passed away". Kyungsoo had not found out or remembered that his father had left and his siblings had left. What he knew was that he was the only child and that his dad had an accident.
"He's here, Kyungsoo!" His mother called out and he went outside with his mother.
His mother said that they she would be leaving soon and that she couldn't bring Kyungsoo with her.
"So, I leave him up to you." The mother said to the guy in front of her. She opened the door wider for Kyungsoo to meet the guy.
It was Kim Jongin.
"Annyeonghaseyo Mrs. Do! And, annyeonghaseyo Kyungsoo-ah."
Kyungsoo-ah.
Kyungsoo stared into the guy's name. Who does he think he is to call him informally?
"Who are you?" Kyungsoo asked and Jongin could only stare.
What?
"What do you mean?"
The mother eyed Jongin apologetically but he wasn't getting the message.
"I came here to apologize and make amends with you and this is how you greet me?" Jongin's face was heating up.
"I'm sorry. But I really don't know who you are." Kyungsoo said as he blinked twice. He put his hands in his pockets and walked past Jongin. He headed to the car and looked back at Jongin. "Shouldn't we be leaving? Mr?"
Jongin shook his head and walked towards the door. He opened it but Kyungsoo gave him an exaggerated look. "Hey! Don't open the door for me! I'm not a freaking princess." He huffed and opened the door for himself. Jongin could only stare. What has happened to him?
During the ride, Jongin couldn't help but look back and forth towards the older.
"Do you really not remember who I am? Did you forget?"
"I didn't forget anything! I have never met you in my life!" Kyungsoo pressed as he looked out of the window. "Oh right! What is your name?" Kyungsoo looked at Jongin with a curious gaze.
"Jongin. You can call me Jongin-ah."
"Jongin-ah?" Jongin nodded calmly but his heart was nowhere near calm. The first time they have met, he insisted Kyungsoo to call him Jongin-ssi not Jongin-ah. How time can change after having him in his household.
"But... Why the informalities?" Kyungsoo asked without straying his gaze away from Jongin.
"I want to become close with you." He muttered. It was soft but enough for Kyungsoo to have heard it.
Close.
"Um Jongin-ssi?" Kyungsoo looked out of his window. "I don't think we'll become friends."
Jongin turned sharply towards Kyungsoo and dangerously stopped the car.
"Hey! Watch where you are going! We could have died and you could have hit someone!"
"I have already hit someone. And with this car too." Jongin muttered and was now dangerously close to Kyungsoo.
Kyungsoo glared back at Jongin with angry eyes.
"Why can't we be?" Jongin asked.
"I know we have just met, but there's something about you I don't like. It's as if my body system is telling me to stay far away from you." Jongin sat back up and sighed.
"And I think I should."
Jongin didn't say anything for awhile, and then he continued to drive and hum to himself. Only when they were near the household did he start talking to him.
"Can you atleast try?" Jongin asked as he made a curve. "Try to be close with me?"
Kyungsoo could only study him.
"Why do you want to be friends with me so badly?"
Jongin stopped the car again.
"Would you stop that?!" Kyungsoo shouted.
"Listen here, Kyungsoo." Jongin put an arm over the wheel and looked directly into Kyungsoo's eyes. "I have everything in this world. I have a good house-- which you will see... I have popularity.. I have skills.. I have good looks... But I don't have you." Kyungsoo scoffed.
"I used to have you anyway." Kyungsoo looked at Jongin again with an intense gaze. "It was nice to have you, even if it was for a little while."
