A phone call woke me up. How important is this call that it has to be done at a ING MIDNIGHT?!

*incoming call*

“Umma?”

“Jinki, is your schedule busy?”

“Not at all but, Umma? Why are you calling me in midnight?”

“It’s just that… Your aunt passed away yesterday.”

“What!? H-how?”

“I don’t know the whole details yet that’s why I’m calling you to come with us in Japan, you know that we’re the only family left to her right? If you’re busy, you don’t have to.”

“O-ofcourse Umma, even if I have a tight schedule.” I asked still shocked

“When will we go there?” I added

“At 3am sharp, we’ll get there in your dorm to pick you up okay? I booked tickets, no need to worry and get ready quickly. We will be staying there for just 3 days.”

“Okay Umma.”

“I’ll hang up now, bye. Take care.”

*Hanged up*

I remained dazed for what I heard. Why am I given too much blessing that there is nothing left with my family? She’s like my second mother, when my mom isn’t around to go to work 14 hours a day, she did. When Kibum still didn’t know how to cook chicken, she cooks for me. Whenever I have a slightest scratch on my knee, she immediately gets the first-aid kit and tries to heal it. When my mom didn’t come with me to Daegu to visit Kibum’s grandparents with Kibum, she came with us. She was even the one who taught me to be optimistic. Not that I don’t love my real Umma, I love them completely equal.

I felt my eyes swollen, I didn’t even know I was crying the whole time.

I returned to my room, packed anything I see enough for three days.

“Hyung?” Taemin peeked in my room.

“Oh, Taemin.” I wasn’t surprised that he is still awake.

“Why are you packing up? Where are you going?” He asked curiously.

“Uh, I have to go to Japan.”

“Why?”He asked with depression in his eyes.

“Uhm uh, m-my aunt passed away Taemin, I need to go there.”

“Did you tell Myeongshik hyung?” (A/N: SHINee’s manager)

“Can you tell him for me?”

“Okay”

“Thanks.”

*Incoming Call*

“Jinki, we’re in front of your dorm building already,”

“Yes Umma.”

“Are you done packing?”

“A minute more.”

“Okay, 5 minutes.”

*Hanged Up*

Taemin is back in his room playing videogames. I walked inside Kibum’s room, finding him nowhere. He left his phone again, oh, he’s having sleepovers I guess. I sent my favorite English song in his phone from mine, just in case it rains, I could just tell him to put on his headphones.

I walked in Minho and Taemin’s room,

“Uh, Taemin?”

“Hm?”

“If Kibum asked where I am, don’t tell him okay?”

“What am I supposed to say then?”

“Just tell him I have some business to do in Japan.”

“I don’t know why, but okay.”

“I’ll go ahead now, bye.”

“Yeah bye hyung.”

Key’s POV

“GAH! Just… GAAH!” He said not completely clenching his fists, while we’re still staring at Taemin weirdly.

“Just tell us if you know where he is or not. You’re weird.” Jonghyun spitted

“Aish.”

“Now I’m curious. Where is he? Really?” I added

“He said he has some business to do in Japan.”

Business?

*Flashback*

I’m on my way to the bathroom when I heard someone talked.

“I’m kind of busy right now and I don’t think I can have time for that so…” He said while rubbing the back of his neck.

“Y-yeah, I’ll think about it.” He said hesitantly.

“Thank you so much for that offer but I’m afraid I may decline that, I-I mean-“he said professionally.

“Really?” He replied with excitement in his eyes.

“Well that helped me to choose quickly.” He said nodding.

“But I’ll still think about it.”

“Thanks again for the offer.”

He hanged up with worried look.

“Uh, h-hey, Kibum, didn’t know you were there.”

*End of Flashback*

The call, could it be? I-I mean, that offer thingy… No way, Jinki wouldn’t do that to us, especially to me. But it’s his dream to become a famous soloist ever since he started singing.

“W-what business?” I said blankly

“I-I don’t know.” Taemin said thinking twice.

“Tell me what business!” I said grabbing his collar angrily.

“Uh, I-I don’t know hyung” he said shocked.

“Hey Kibum stop it!” Minho inserted, pushing me away from Taemin.

“I-I’m sorry, it’s just… I’m sorry.” I ran into my room without their responses.

Why the hell did Jinki accept that offer without me knowing about it?! He should’ve just atleast texted me right before he got out of our dorm. Aish! 

Jonghyun’s POV

“Tell me what business!” Key said grabbing Taemin’s collar angrily.

“Uh, I-I don’t know hyung” Our dongsaeng said shocked.

“Hey Kibum stop it!” Minho inserted, pushing Kibum away from Taemin.

“I-I’m sorry, it’s just… I’m sorry.” He ran to his room blankly.

We stayed there dazed.

“WOAH! I never thought Kibum was so cool! I mean that grabbing of collar and shouting into the face, Man! I’ve dreamed to do that!”

“Shut up Jonghyun. Yah, Taemin, where did really Onew hyung go?”

“His aunt died.” Taemin said directly to the point.

“Why didn’t you tell Kibum?” Minho asked Taemin

“Because Jinki hyung told me not to.”

“His aunt died?” I asked half-shocked.

“Yes Jonghyun hyung.”

“Is he okay?” I added.

“I don’t know, his eyes were swollen when I got into his room, I guess he’s not.”

“Don’t you have schedules today?”Taemin asked getting out the topic.

“1:30pm photoshoot.” Minho answered.

“Nope, I don’t have any.”I added.

“Me too.”

“I’ll go out for a while.”
