Hyunae watched her sister get ready for her date with Onew. She watched as her sister blew dry her hair, applied all sorts of products into it, and styled it. Her sister eventually went into the closet and came out wearing a pair of dark grey jeans with a dark blue shimmery v-neck tee.

“Hyunae, how do I look?” Eunyoung spun once for her sister.

“Unnie, you look so pretty! Can I dress up too? Apparently I’m supposed to meet Minho up, or Taemin, or both, I have no idea.” Hyunae sighed. The text messages they both sent her were invites to go on dates with both of them, tonight, at the same time. In completely different places. And being the silly person she was, she had said yes to both of them. But now, she didn’t know how she’d be able to pull it off.

“Really? Wait, you’re going on a date with both of them? How in the world is that going to work? When did this happen?” Eunyoung looked up from doing her makeup at her sister quizzically.

“I have no idea, it just sort of… happened. I think I might just get both of them to meet me at one place. I don’t know. Unnie! What am I going to do?” Eunyoung went over to her bed to hug her sister. Eunyoung knew her own problems were big, but Hyunae’s problems were important too.

“I think you should meet with one, and then meet with the other a little later, and maybe get the both of them together. They may not like it, but just tell them that you get to make the decision, not them, okay?”

“Okay. Unnie, you should finish your makeup so you can help me with mine.”

“Of course, anything for my baby sister.” The two hugged. Eunyoung finished up her subtle makeup before starting on Hyunae, sweeping neutral colored eyeshadows onto her eyelids, using a brown eyeliner pencil on her eyes, brushing a slight pink blush onto her cheeks. Lastly, she took out a pale pink lipstick and blotted it onto her lips, showing her how to rub her lips together to blend it in.

“Hyunae, you’re so pretty! You take after your sister.” Eunyoung smiled. Her little sister was growing up.

“Unnie, you’re not mad? That Minho and Taemin like me?” Hyunae was expecting her sister to be overprotective.

“Why should I? You’re not little anymore. Besides, it was totally obvious that Taemin liked you. Minho, though, I didn’t know. But I’m not going to try and influence your decision either. I’m going to let you choose on your own, just like you’re letting me choose on my own.” Eunyoung ruffled Hyunae’s hair slightly. There was a part of her that wanted to be over protective, but she knew she had to let her sister grow up eventually. They left the apartment together, climbed in Eunyoung’s car, and drove off to meet their prospective men.

“Hyunae, call me later, okay? Just to let me know you’re okay. Have fun!” Eunyoung waved as she dropped her sister off to meet Minho. She hoped her sister would be able to handle this. Waving one last time, she drove off to meet Onew.

Hyunae waved back before turning to enter the coffee shop where Minho asked her to meet with him. Once inside, she noticed it was completely empty except for Minho, who was sitting at a table in the corner with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. Hyunae nervously walked over to him and he immediately stood up, motioning for her to sit down, handing her the flowers. She couldn’t help but smile because she knew he was nervous as well.

“Hi Hyunae, how are you? I’m so glad you agreed to meet me. Do you want something to drink? Hi, we’d like to order something to drink. What would you like to drink, Hyunae?” Minho couldn’t stop talking, he was so nervous.

“I’m fine Minho, how are you? I’m glad you asked me to meet you. Yes, I would like something to drink. One iced coffee please.” Hyunae smiled again, Minho was so cute when he was nervous. The waiter bowed, and then left, bringing back Hyunae’s drink and setting it down on the table. Minho looked at Hyunae, and she looked at him. It was a bit awkward, and they didn’t have much to talk about besides school and the boys. After about 45 minutes of awkward talking, Hyunae wiped with a napkin delicately.

“Minho, I’m sorry, but I’ve got to go. I’ll see you at school, okay? And thank you for the flowers, they’re beautiful.” Hyunae felt a little bad leaving Minho like this, but she had to meet up with Taemin as well. She stood up slowly, gathering her things.

“Okay. Do you want me to take you where you need to go? And you’re welcome; I saw them and immediately thought of you.” Minho stood up and walked around the table and gave her a hug. She gave him a hug back, but it still felt awkward between them.

“No, I can get there by myself. Don’t worry Minho, I’ll be fine. I’ll see you later.” Letting go, she smiled before turning around, walking towards the door. Bouquet in hand, Hyunae walked down the street, lost in her own thoughts. A few minutes later, she made it to where Taemin wanted to meet. A mini-arcade. Grinning, she walked inside. All the lights were off inside, with the only source of light coming from the various arcade game machines. Hyunae was amazed to find this place completely empty as well, and she figured it probably had something to do with his star status, just like Minho’s date. She found Taemin dancing on the DDR machine, arms flailing. He looked so silly, Hyunae had to laugh. And Taemin heard her.

“Hyunae, you’re finally here! I’ve been waiting forever, what took you so long? Oh where did you get these?” Taemin looked at the flowers, his smile shrinking. He wondered if she was with someone else before she got here. Hyunae looked at the flowers in her hand, wondering if she should tell him the truth.

“I… was with Minho oppa earlier. He asked me out and you asked me out at the same time. So I figured I’d meet up with both of you. I chose to meet up with him first.” Hyunae felt bad, she didn’t want Taemin to think that she liked Minho more or anything. He shrugged.

“I knew Minho hyung liked you, even though he never showed it to you. But I like you too. Come on, I’ll put your stuff away for you. We have the whole arcade to ourselves today!” Smiling, Taemin gingerly placed Hyunae’s bag and bouquet at the front counter before grabbing her hand and pulling her to a machine. Hyunae grinned; Taemin was always so lively and adorable. They played countless games, including fighting games, shooting games, DDR, and others. Hyunae felt completely wiped out after 2 hours, but Taemin still had energy left over.

“Taemin oppa, I’m exhausted, let’s rest. Plus I’m hungry, I haven’t eaten dinner yet. Have you?”

“Haha no, let’s go eat! My treat, okay?” Taemin smiled. He didn’t want this date to ever end, it was going so perfectly. Hyunae nodded, walking towards the counter to retrieve her things. There, she discovered something that wasn’t with her belongings when she got there. A little teddy bear. It was a gift from Taemin. Smiling, Hyunae turned and gave Taemin a hug. At first he was startled, and then hugged her back. They stood there for a bit, just hugging, before Hyunae’s stomach growled loudly. Giggling, they walked out the door and down the street to a little pizza joint, laughing the whole time. In between bites of pizza, Hyunae wondered how her sister’s date with Onew was going.

“I brought you some flowers, Eunyoung. I hope you like them.” Onew handed her a small bouquet of white lilies and daisies. Eunyoung smiled, inhaling their light scent. She set them down on the table and turned her attention to the menu. Onew took her to a fancy French restaurant where they didn’t print the prices on the menu. Eunyoung knew secretly that Onew was craving chicken, but he didn’t want to look like an idiot, so he took her out to this fancy place. Looking over the menu, she figured eating their roasted chicken would be the best compromise, so that’s what she ordered, along with almondine green beans and a salad. Onew went all out, ordering 5-6 different things to try out, obviously fascinated by the variety on the menu.

“Thank you for the flowers, Onew oppa. And for dinner.” Eunyoung dug into her food enthusiastically, enjoying the crunchiness of the green beans. Onew watched her eat, noticing the little things, like how she pulled her hair to one side while eating, how she chewed with closed, the way her eyes looked in the dim lighting of the restaurant, with a twinkle. Onew was definitely in love. Eunyoung knew his feelings for her, but at the same time, she felt a little strange. Her mind kept wandering back to thoughts of Jonghyun’s lips against her own, the way he held her hand. She distinctly remembered his hand feeling very warm. Shaking her head slightly, she went back to eating. How could she be thinking these thoughts while she was on a date with Onew? Eunyoung looked over at Onew, who was eating voraciously. Smiling, she remembered how Onew’s hand felt against hers. It was a little cold, but she remembered the saying. Cold hands equaled a warm heart. She wondered if it would be the same if it was the other way around.

They finished eating and walked outside towards their cars. Eunyoung’s phone vibrated in her purse; she dug for it and looked at the caller ID. It was her sister.

“Oppa, I’m sorry for cutting this date a bit short, but Hyunae’s calling me, which means I have to go pick her up. You don’t mind, do you?” Eunyoung could tell he was a bit disappointed, but he tried not to show it.

“Of course, it’s no problem. I’ll call you later, okay?” And before she could even blink, Onew leaned over and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek. Blushing, she smiled before kissing him back on the cheek. Both of them stood there blushing simultaneously before Eunyoung leaned in and gave Onew a hug. He hugged her back for a bit before watching her get into her car and drive away.

“Unnie, how was your date with Onew oppa?” Hyunae was still a little hyper from her date with Taemin.

“I should ask you first. How were your dates with Minho and Taemin?” Eunyoung turned into their apartment complex.

“My date with Minho oppa was… okay, I guess. We don’t really know each other well yet, and it was really awkward. But my date with Taemin oppa was so much fun! We had a whole arcade to ourselves, and we joked around a lot, and then he bought me pizza for dinner.” Hyunae was practically beaming, she was smiling so big.

“It sounds like you like Taemin more than you like Minho.” Eunyoung parked her car, grabbed her things, and got out, waiting for her sister before locking the car. They walked arm in arm inside towards their apartment, with Hyunae unlocking the door.

“I know, but at the same time, I don’t know if I should choose. Not just yet, anyways.” Hyunae pulled off her shoes and walked into her room to quickly change into her pajamas. Eunyoung did the same, both of them gathering in the kitchen to munch on some ice cream before bed. Both of them ate their ice cream in silence for a bit before Hyunae finally spoke.

“Okay now that I answered your question, you have to answer mine. How was your date?” Eunyoung smiled slightly. She already put her bouquet in a vase along with Hyunae’s.

“Well, he kissed me. But before you start getting happy, it was only on the cheek. I mean… nevermind.” Eunyoung almost let it slip that Jonghyun had kissed her first, but she caught herself. “Okay, it’s getting late. And remember, we’re going shopping tomorrow before lunch. So go on, get in bed.” Eunyoung gave Hyunae a hug before putting the dishes away and walked into her room, flouncing onto her bed. Falling asleep almost immediately, she dreamt about Jonghyun and his warm hands intertwined with hers.
