They were already riding their horses out of the city until all that were surrounding them were trees, forests and mountains.

It was misty and foggy, and the weather was turning bad.

"Are these horses taking us in the right direction?" asked Naeun, a little afraid.

"Calm down," said Chorong, "Don't panic, everyone. No matter what, from now on, we'll all stick together. No exceptions. And make sure that we don't lose each other,"

 

Before they knew it they were completely surrounded by fog, and they had no idea where they were going.

Sooner or later, they lost sight of each other.

 

They continued to ride their horses until they eventually found themselves riding slowly through a dark forest.

"Well, do we know exactly where we are going?" asked Hayoung, "Where do the Mingyuntaek Tribe live?"

"Well, they live in a meadow near the mountains," said Changsub, "But this definitely isn't a meadow!"

"Maybe we'll find a way to the tribe." said Eunkwang, "Maybe there is a path that will lead us there,"

 

They rode around the forest for hours, but nothing turned up.

 

They rode until they eventually found a wide swamp.

"The horses can't go any further," said Eunkwang, sadly. "I'm afraid we'll have to say goodbye to them,"

They sighed as they bid their horses goodbye, as they headed off back to the castle, even though they knew that they could not go any further than the point they were right now.

"I guess that we'll have to go on foot from now on," said Chorong.

"But what about the swamp?" said Namjoo.

They all examined the swamp, looking for any bridges or shortcuts.

"Uh oh," said Hyunsik.

"What?" said Eunji.

"It looks like we'll have to go through it," said Hyunsik.

"Okay, everyone ready!" said Eunkwang, "On the count of three, we will all wade into the swamp. If we cannot, we will have to swim in the swamp, okay?"

"Okay." they all agreed.

"Okay, on the count of one......two......three!"

The fourteen went into the swamp, feeling their boots touch the soil underneath the swamp.

They began moving their legs forward like they were riding unicles as they were wading through the water. They were either wading or swimming through the swamp as the swamp went up to their chests.

"It's creepy," said Namjoo.

"It's cool," scoffed Ilhoon.

"That's what I call an adventure!" said Yookyung.

They were wading through the swamp. They passed by many creeping branches, twigs and vines, constantly coiling around them like snakes.

"It's a snake!" shrieked Naeun.

The thirteen turned back.

"Calm down, it's a vine," said Donggeun as he took out from his belt a dagger and cut the vine, setting Naeun free.

"Thanks, you saved my life!" said Naeun.

"Awwww shucks," said Donggeun.

 

They were wading, dodging the low tree branches and vines, as they were swimming across to the other side.

"Help! Help!" called a voice, "Come and help me!"

They turned around.

It was Sungjae.

He was about to get to the other side but half of his body was stuck in the swamp.

"I'm stuck! Is this quicksand?"

"Here!" said Ilhoon, "I'll help!"

He pulled Sungjae's arm. He pulled and pulled but nothing happened.

"Please hurry!" begged Sungjae, "I'm sinking!"

"Hang on!" said Eunkwang.

Eunkwang began frantically searching the part of the forest he was in. He continued until he found a long vine hanging from one of the trees.

"Eunkwang, what is it for?" asked Bomi.

"Just a minute," said Eunkwang as he quickly got out his sword and cut down the vine.

He brought the vine to Sungjae and wrapped it around his hands, whilst the rest made a long rope.

At this point only Sungjae's head was visible, he was starting to sink.

 

"Everyone on the count of three, pull! Everyone make a chain!"

The thirteen all lined up and held each other's sides, ready to pull, with Eunkwang being in front, holding the vine.

"Everyone, one......two.....three......PULL!"

With teamwork, they all pulled.

They pulled and pulled until eventually, they managed to pull Sungjae out of the water.

Sungjae panted and puffed in relief.

"Thank you guys," said Sungjae, "You all saved my life,"

"You were one lucky one," said Eunji with a smile.
