Flashback your POV: USA

It was night and I was talking to Micky as always before I go to sleep. He would call me and talk until we fall asleep.

“…and then I was about to say something but my mom stopped me ahahah.” I was finishing telling him when I heard nobody on the phone

 “Micky??are you already sleeping??” I asked

 “hmm? No I’m listening..” he said but I can tell from his voice that he is not paying attention.

 “ Micky what’s wrong? Am I annoying  you?”

 “ oh no no! it’s nothing, don’t worry! Maybe I’m just tired ” he said to me.

 “ooh, okay then let’s just sleep for now okay??”

 “yeah ok. So I will see you tomorrow.. goodnight Bunny”

“goodnight Micky..”I replied and we hung up. –maybe he’s really tired- I thought.

 The day after I went out with Micky. We spent the day shopping. We went from shop to shop. It was always like this. When I was satisfied with my shopping we would go to eat or drink something. So we choose to drink something. While waiting for Micky who was ordering , I sat down and after a few minutes he was back, he gave me my drink and was holding his own, he sat in front of me. He was more quiet than usual and distracted.

“what you are thinking?” I asked him.

 “hhmmm? Me? nothing..” he was avoiding any eye contact.

 “so why don’t you even look at me?”

 he laughed awkwardly “ah..ahahahah what? What are saying ____”

“Micky.” Now I was serious, there is really something wrong with him. He looked at me and when he saw me serious he sighed and he put his hands in his hair hiding his face, now I was seriously worried

 “ hey what’s wrong? Talk to me Micky..” I said.

 He sighed again “…you know…*sigh*…”

 “heeey it’s okay! don’t worry baby” I said trying to comfort him.

 “I.. must go back to South Korea..” he said and I froze.

“ahahahah hey don’t joke around okay! ahahaha  you know that I hate this kind of joke right? ahahahah” I said wanting to believe that  he’s really joking but then he removed his hands of his face and looked at me straight in the eyes and he had an expression that I never wanted to see, his eyes were sad worried and sorry, seeing him like that the smile I had slowly vanished and tears were forming. “seriously? You are going to leave me??” I did not even want to blink to not let the tears fall.

 “…*sigh*.. you know about my situation at home right? I was scouted by an entertainment company and they said that I will join a record label in South Korea..” he said looking out the window.

“mmmm..” is what I was able to say, looking down and playing nervously with my hand, with just one blink all tears fell down . Yeah I know about his situation at home and I also know how much he love music and that this is really a good chance for him. but I cannot do otherwise than be selfish and to think –what about me??- but then I remembered  that  I'm just a friend and nothing else. And it’s something that I always forget since we are always together that even people always mistake us as a couple. At first we were like –ah no no! we are just friends!- but then we became used to it and we would not even denied it but just smile about it without saying anything.

“come with me ____!” His voice brought me back to reality and I was shocked! I was not expecting this!!

“ wha..what?” I asked him.

“ you have always said that you wanted to go to Korea right? So can’t you just come with me?” he said and I didn’t know what to say. I was confused but really happy at the same time.

“ but.. how?  What about my parents? And what will I do there??”

“ you can finish your studies there..  Bunny I don’t want to be apart from you! You know that right? So we will be always together like that!” he said smiling.

“ yeah but…” I said.

“ hey and I even taught you some korean so..” he said smiling more and with hope in his eyes. All I did was smile back.

End of flashback
