3 missed calls.

She woke up as her eyes read his name on the list of missed calls. She wondered as to why she didn’t even hear her phone ring. She could have answered it. Damn. She cursed herself in her thoughts.

1:30 am. 2:06 am. Why would he be still awake by then? She wondered as she rubbed her eyes, still lying with her cellphone held up in front of her face. It could be a paper he’s working on, a song maybe, or he just can’t sleep.

Are you still awake?

She looked at the time the message was sent. 1:33 am. “Why would I be awake at one?” She asked herself.

I can’t sleep.

Anyways, good night! I love you :3

She got up, laid the her phone on her night table. Settled her feet on the floor, tied her hair in a loose bun with a distinct smile on her face. Maybe, Jessica didn’t have to sleep all the time to be in a dream.
