Eight Days

January 12. Tiffany looked longingly at that date. She counted the days she must wait for until that day came. 8 days. Eight agonizingly long days. She sighed as her eyes went back to her computer screen. Her phone vibrated. A new message.

Can’t wait til the 12th!

She smiled at his text message. It was really quite enough to make her day better as it was a day of calls waiting ahead of her.

Tiffany replied to the boy on the other line and laid the phone next to her keyboard. She put her glasses on and opened her needed documents for the day. She looked back at her calendar and counted the days ‘til January 12. Maybe, she thought, eight days wouldn’t be that long.
