Foreword
“Oh, Seunghyun-ah,” his father said right as they were about to leave, “The Shin family called. Haejung is coming back to Seoul.”
“Are you joking?” Seungri asked, “They’ve lived in America for the last nine years. Why would they come back now?”
“For your wedding. Just thought you should know,” he said before turning back to his computer. As they left, Bongcha could hear him typing away furiously. The door shut and Seungri let out a sigh.
“Who is Haejung?” you asked, wondering why his father had brought it up. He wasn’t the type of guy to bring something up offhandedly. There was a certain amount of precision and calculation in everything that man did.
“An old friend,” Seungri explained, “She moved to America, so it’s exciting that she’s coming back.”
“She?”
“You’re not getting jealous, are you?” he asked, smirking. Bongcha rolled her eyes at that comment and didn’t respond. His ego was already huge; she didn’t need to make it any bigger by admitting that she was just a little jealous. However, she did have one defense.
“Jiyong is coming back for the wedding too,” she said offhandedly. Seungri’s smirk immediately faded.
“Oh, great,” he said in a flat voice. When Bongcha and Seungri’s relationship had momentarily disintegrated, Jiyong had admitted that he had feelings for his friend’s girl. Seungri had never really gotten over that, but Bongcha and Jiyong were still best friends. They talked almost every day, even while he was studying fashion abroad.
“Jealous?” Bongcha teased back. He stuck his tongue out as her before wrapping his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close.
“You know it,” he whispered before kissing the top of her head. She blushed slightly as she leaned in to the touch.
