Chapter 3
I lied... I love you"Jae, are you ready?" Yunho asked while standing by the bedroom door.
"Coming." Jaejoong zipped his blue backpack shut, slinging it over his shoulder as he pulled his matching suitcase off the bed.
Yunho walked slowly down the stairs that Sunday morning, carrying the suitcases one in each hand. Jaejoong went to Karam’s room and knocked on the door.
"Karam, come down now for breakfast. Appa and daddy are ready to leave for the airport," his daddy's soft voice was heard. Karam opened the door and at the same time Changmin also came out of his room.
At the breakfast table, Jaejoong was busy giving last minutes instructions. “ 'Don’t misuse the car,' 'Don’t stay out late,' 'Stay out of trouble,' " while Yunho just smiled as he watched him.
“Jae, don’t worry. They can take care of themselves.”
“Yes, Daddy, don't worry about us, we'll be fine. Take care of appa for us. Call us often and let us know how you guys are doing."
"Good!" Jaejoong let out a relieved sigh. He looked at Changmin. "Karam hyung is in charge. Listen to him and do what he tells you. Please behave yourselves, and remember to help each other out whenever and wherever you can."
“Yes, Daddy, " responded Karam and Changmin in unison.
Yunho laughed. “Karam, Changmin, help me load the suitcases into the car. Someone won’t stop talking until we leave the house.”
Jaejoong looked at him with a pout on his lips. He didn’t know why, but he felt nervous going on this trip, though he kept his head held high. He told himself not to be nervous, yet nervous was all that he was. He had never felt this way before when he and Yunho had left the two boys to go on a trip.
“You two, be good! Bye kids," Jaejoong said, as they walked outside to the car. The driver held the door open for him.
Jaejoong got in the back seat first, while Yunho watched his sons put the suitcases in the trunk, and then he slid in beside Jaejoong.
Karam and Changmin stood side by side waving them good-bye, as the car drove away. After the car was no longer in sight, Karam shut the front door and turned to Changmin. Their eyes widened with excitement.
“I'm going out with Key.”
“I’m going out with Kyuhyun.”
Both of them thought in silence for awhile.
"Who will get to drive the new car?" Karam asked.
"Why don’t we just have a date?" Changmin suggested. "Like a real date."
Karam's jaw dropped. Karam felt confused, surprised, happy and scared. He had thought about asking Changmin out before, but the word ‘Brother’ had always held him back. That and a three letter word had tormented him for almost 3 years and still to this very day.
"You do know that that’s impossible, right?" Karam pretended to look confused.
"Why? We've never tried it before. I think it would be fun. Us, going on a date." Changmin clasped his hands together and grinned.
"Minnie, we're brothers. Brothers don't go on dates with each other, it's just not right," Karam said calmly, but his heart ached in his chest as he spoke.
"Why? It's not like we actually have feelings towards each other, right?" Changmin laughed. Karam was silent. "Hyung, we don't feel anything for each other right?"
More silence.
"Hyung, right?" Changmin nagged on. Karam just shook his head. "Hyung, answer me. Why won't you say anything?"
"Right. We don’t. Let's get ready. I’ll drive," Karam replied with a fake smile.

Five days had passed since their parents went to Singapore. Every day Jaejoong would call to ask how the two brothers were doing. Karam reassured his daddy not to worry about them and that he will take care of Changmin well. They became the latest talk at school after they were seen driving their Ferrari to school. Especially Changmin.
Karam parked his car under a shade tree. He and Changmin walked out and felt stares from most of the girls. Karam felt sick under the spot light. Changmin grinned at his brother’s reaction. Other girls sighed in admiration.
"Hi, Changmin!" Said a bunch of girls.
"Hey," Changmin replied.
"Oh my gosh! He said 'hey' to me!" One of the girls screamed in excitement. This triggered the other girls to claim that Changmin was actually talking to them.
"No, me!"
"No, me!"
A fight started at the entrance of the school. Changmin started laughing while Karam only stared at them weirdly.
"Baby, they're so stupid. They're all fighting ‘cause you said ‘hey’ to them. I wouldn't be like that just because you said ‘hey’ to me," said Karam.
"That's because you're a guy. Unless...you're hiding something." Changmin smirked. "It's okay, hyung." Changmin patted his back.
"Baby, you get all the ladies! I'm jealous!" Karam pouted and crossed his arms.
Changmin laughed at his brother.
"Let's just
