Short chapter. This will be a fairly short drama story. It was going to be a oneshot but i thought it could use a bt more just not as much. If you guys want some longer stories by me i have one im currently working on called, "Dark Encounters" however that one is filled with action and fantasy. haha

Serenity: 4 years later…

As I walk towards the café in downtown henry pelts me with question after question on why I won’t ever consider meeting my new soulmate. No matter how many times I tell him he just refuses to understand the fact that a soulmate can’t be switched just because fate decides it.

“You’re just being selfish.” He sighs.

“How so?” I ask.

“You refuse to meet him…but you have no remorse for his feelings. How will he feel when someone who is supposed to love him doesn’t?”

“Stop being so self-righteous, just because you finally got your soulmate.” I sigh, “Let’s stop talking about this. Doesn’t matter anyways…”

I stare at my wrist, even if I were to accept my soulmates feelings, my time with him wouldn’t last long.

As we enter the café the time on my other wrist starts heating up. I glance around and sure enough someone else is doing the same thing.

We lock eyes for a moment but before we could properly meet I bolt out the door.

“Serenity?” Henry calls out. But I didn’t stop, I had to keep going I wasn’t supposed to meet my soulmate yet. How stupid was I to think fate would just let him slip by?

“Hey!” I could hear a man call out, however I continued going not bothering to stop and listen.

“Wait!”

I pounded my feet on the slick cement even harder, almost knocking into people. 

I continue to run from my soulmate, having no remorse for ever looking back at him. This is better for the both of us…no matter how selfish I sound. If we meet there will be nothing but misery awaiting us.
