Double Update~~~ ^^

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

The two had finally reached the place and immediately spotted the group. Well, who wouldn't when there are 7 boys that resembled monkeys with their actions all practically jumping on each other. Eunji rolled her eyes before approaching them.

"You know you guys would've been better off in a zoo," she told them, sitting down next to Wonho. The latter sheepishly sat back in his seat as soon as he heard Eunji's voice. Infinite soon followed as they realised how much attention they caught from everyone else around them. A chuckle was heard and the boys blinked at the unexpected arrival.

"L?" Sunggyu said, surprised. Myungsoo smiled at him, "Hey hyung."

"What are you doing he- OW!" Woohyun cried out as a foot stomped on his. He looked around the table, trying to figure out who did it when Eunji changed the topic, "So, shall we order?"

"Y-Yeah. S-Sure." Sungjong agreed, still shocked from Myungsoo's presence. Dongwoo took out his phone, "Well, since pretty much everyone is here, let's invite Naeun." Eunji's smile faded a bit before she agreed, "Yeah. Do you have her number?" Dongwoo nodded at her and took the call. The rest of Infinite mentally face palmed at their friend's inconsiderate actions when they noticed Eunji's wavering.

"Hyung, I don’t think-" Sungyeol stopped his words when Dongwoo started talking through the phone, knowing there was no way to stop it. He felt a gentle kick on his shin and looked up, meeting eyes with Eunji who was just diagonally in front of him. She gave him a reassuring look and the latter nodded although the worried feeling still inside him.

Eunji felt a chair get pushed out beside her and immediately spoke, "Naeun's sitting there." Myungsoo pouted, pushing the chair back in before walking to the chair in front of her. Hoya quickly reacted, moving to the chair right in front of Eunji, making Myungsoo gape at the guy. Having no other choice, Myungsoo sat on the seat in front of where Naeun was supposed to be and let out an inaudible grunt.

"Whoops. Sorry!"

Eunji whipped her head to the sound of the familiar voice and let out a chuckle. She spotted Naeun clumsily dodging people as she tried to get a better view of the place. "Nana!" Eunji called out, helping her friend out a lot. Naeun followed the voice and smiled, lifting a hand up to say hi and hitting a waiter in the process. Naeun gasped, immediately apologising to the innocent man. After a minute of bowing she walked towards the table and gave Eunji a sheepish smile, knowing she was watching the whole time.

"Had fun dodging?" Eunji couldn't help but as she sat down. Naeun lightly pushed her, pouting, "Be quiet unnie. You know me." Eunji laughed and that was the last thing the rest of the group heard since the silence enveloped them. Naeun bit her lip before shooting a smile to Infinite, "H-Hi." Infinite smiled back, still feeling awkward. The silence returned and Naeun furrowed her eyebrows.

"Uh. Unnie..." Eunji turned towards Naeun's voice, "Hm?"

"Have you guys ordered yet?" Naeun finished.

"Of course we have." Eunji told her confidently before noticing the rest of the group's reactions, "We have… right?"

All eyes turned to the maknae of Infinite as the boy sheepishly scratched his nape, "I kinda...well, forgot."

Groans and grunts were emitted from the teenagers.

"Waiter!"

As soon as the food came, they literally dug in. They were either stuffing their faces with bacon, got yolk on the corner of their lips, stopping to catch their breaths, stealing each other's servings or rushing to get another one. The table was their mess and so were their face but no one really cared at that moment. Though in the midst of all the madness, Myungsoo still couldn't help but care for one girl. He slapped Sungyeol hand that was reaching for his plate before he took a strip of bacon and placed it on her plate. Eunji, used to his actions, ate the bacon happily. "Eat more," Myungsoo told her before taking a bite himself. Eunji just nodded and stuffed another spoonful into .

Naeun swallowed her food slowly as she watched their actions, suddenly not that hungry anymore. She couldn’t help but think why Myungsoo was caring for Eunji when Naeun was the one right in front of him. When Naeun was the one he was dating. When Naeun was the one that should be the one he cared for the most.

Naeun shook the thoughts out of her head. Even before they started dating, Myungsoo had always been this caring for Eunji. They were best friends and Myungsoo was always with Eunji when she needed it. Naeun told herself it was fine and smiled. She spotted a spoon placing a piece of egg on to her plate and her heart fluttered at the sight of who it was. Myungsoo smiled at her, "Eat. You'll be hungry later." Naeun nodded, heat rushing towards her cheeks as she followed his words.

Eunji stood up suddenly, "I'll be right back." Wonho caught her hand before she went, "Do you want me to come?" She shook her head, "Its fine. I'll just be a sec." Wonho nodded and let go of her hand, turning back to his food.

Eunji walked outside to a nearby vending machine, knowing the drinks she wanted weren't in the restaurant. She took out a few coins and slid them into the machine, pressing the number for the drinks. Repeating the process again, she ended up with two bottles of banana milk in her hand. She walked back to the restaurant only to bump into a lady in the way. "Oh. Young lady, do you mind helping me around here?" she asked Eunji kindly.

"Sure. Are you lost?"

She let out a small chuckle, "Yes my dear. Do you mind showing me where xxxxxx is?" Eunji instantly recognised the place, "It's straight ahead and when you see a bus stop, turn right and you'd be right there." The lady smiled at her, "Thank you so much. I don’t know what'd I'd be doing if I hadn't bumped into you." Eunji smiled back, "Please be safe on your way, ahjumma."

After waving goodbye to her, Eunji continued to walk back, still clutching the two bottles in her hands. As she approached her table she watched as Naeun placed a can of coke by his side and Eunji's shoulders slightly slumped. Realising Wonho was looking at her, she plastered a smile back on her face and sat down.

Myungsoo spotted the two bottles in her hand and immediately reached for one, only to get his hand slapped.

"Not for you," Eunji lied, giving him a scowl. Myungsoo watched as she handed the other one to Wonho as the guy gladly accepted it. Feeling jealousy slowly rise up, he took a large gulp of coke, trying to make it stop.

Naeun let out a small smile as she noticed his slight jealousy. He only wanted the banana milk, Naeun.

He just wanted the banana milk…

Eunji took another look at her reflection in the mirror, satisfied with her look. She was wearing long black track suit pants with a plain black t-shirt and a grey hoodie over it. She wore black converse to complete her look. Just the way she liked it.

Stuffing her hand into her pocket, she opened the door heading out into the hallway. She took out her phone, realising she had gotten ready a bit too early as it was still 11:06. Deciding to kill time, she walked towards Wonho's room before she received a text from Myungsoo.

YAAAAAHHH. It’s cold out here. TT_TT

Hurry up! If you’re not here on time, I swear I will eat your first born. XP

That is, if you ever have one. Keke.

But seriously, pahli unless you want to see your best friend freeze to death here.

Eunji smiled at the text and was about to answer back when she heard that familiar voice call out to her.

"Unnie!" Naeun was running towards her, surprised as she was at the others presence.

"Oh. Nana, what are you doing out this late?" Eunji asked her, her motherly self coming out. Naeun shrugged, "I was bored. My sleeping habits all over the place after last night." Eunji nodded before realising what the other was wearing, "Aigoo. Naeun, bring a jacket." Naeun was wearing a dress that ended just above her knees and a thin sweater over it. "But these are all the clothes I packed." Naeun told her.

"You wont be cold?" Eunji asked her, rubbing her shoulders. "I'll be fine." Naeun assured her, "Anyway, where were you going?"

Eunji froze slightly at her words, guilt filling her again. Where was she going? Out with her own best friend's boyfriend. That's where. Sure, as friends. But her feelings for him still lingered in her heart and she was sure this wasn’t going to help it go away. Didn’t she want Naeun with him? Then why was she the one blocking the two from being together? Her selfish side was taking over her and Eunji knew it herself. She needed to stop. She needed to stop before she ended up being the reason Naeun got hurt.

"Hello? Earth to unnie?" Naeun waved her hand in front of Eunji's face. Eunji snapped out of it, only being able to give her friend a weak smile.

"Myungsoo texted me," Eunji told her and the elder noticed the slight sadness that appeared in Naeun's eyes.

See, Eunji. You're already hurting her.

"He said to lead you to the beach," she smoothly lied, although not proud of it, "I'm glad you were still awake."

Naeun brightened immediately, "H-He told you that? Where does it say?" Eunji hid her phone behind her back, "N-No. Y-You cant look." Naeun felt doubt fill her at her unnie's reaction but Eunji covered it up.

"H-He… sent me what he was going to do with you, so you cant look at it." she told her and Naeun grinned from ear to ear.

"The things we're going to do? Is there a lot, unnie?" she asked happily.

Eunji nodded, "I'm a bit sick so do you mind going there by yourself?" Eunji faked a coughed and shivered, continuing her acting.

Naeun hugged her unnie, "I'll be fine. Just go back to your room and rest, okay?" Eunji nodded, turning around towards her room. She heard Naeun's footsteps slowly fade away and Eunji took out her phone, Myungsoo's message the first thing that came up. Gently rubbing the screen with her fingers, she let out a sigh, typing back a reply.

Myungsoo jumped, hearing the sound of his phone. He excitedly took it out but his smile merged into a frown at Eunji's reply.

… I'm sorry.

"What does she mean she's sorry?" he mumbled to himself, standing up, "Is she not coming?! What? Why? Shouldn’t she be he-"

"Oppa!"

Myungsoo whipped her head towards the sound of the voice and saw Naeun running towards him. Naeun?

Before he knew it, he was wrapped in a tight embrace, giggles emitting from the person.

"Oppa, what are we going to do?" Naeun asked sweetly, not noticing his confusion. Myungsoo couldn’t answer since the person he was expecting wasn't the person he was with now. He had a feeling he knew why though. Deciding that it was for the best, he gave her a smile, "Well, I was thinking of swimming? What do you think?"

Naeun frowned slightly, "Oppa, it's too cold to do that." Myungsoo blinked, suggesting another activity, "How about sand castle building?" Naeun bit her lip, "Isn't that a bit too childish?" Myungsoo let out a forced laugh, "Aha. Y-Yeah… What do you want to do then?"

Naeun looked at him, "How about just a stroll in the beach?" Myungsoo didn’t really like the sound of that, "Maybe later… T-The night's too young for it." Naeun saddened slightly, but agreed, "Why don’t we star gaze?"

Myungsoo looked up, "There's no stars though…" Naeun's shoulder slumped, not another idea in her mind.

"Let's just make a fire." Myungsoo told her as the latter didn’t hate the sound of that.

When the fire was built, the two sat beside it, liking the warmth it gave. Myungsoo stared at the flames of the fire, remembering the conversation he and Naeun had just had. He realised that they had much less in common than he thought. Naeun wasn't the type to be into sports, or do immature things and he wasn’t the type to walked around in silence or do things without much excitement in them. Everything he planned that night was for Eunji and he couldn’t help but think that if it was her beside him right now, would they be playing in the water? And kicking each others sand castles? If she was the one beside him, would there ever be a second without him smiling or laughing? If she was the one beside him, would he be thinking about anyone else but her like what he was doing with Naeun?

Myungsoo let out a sigh, not realising Naeun was in the middle of speaking towards him.

"Is something wrong, oppa?" Naeun asked him. Myungsoo looked at her, his mind giving him mixed orders at the moment. Taking a deep breath, he smiled before reaching out to her hair. It felt weird, yes. But he'd get used to it… right? That's what he'd promised Eunji and that was what he was going to do.

Forcing his true feelings trapped, he told himself he needed to be with Naeun.

He wanted to be with Naeun.

Because that's what Eunji wanted.

And realising now, what Eunji wanted was what he couldn't say no to.

Author's Note: Okay~ How'd you guys like the double update? ;) Sorry for not updating for a month so i gave you guys two chapters.

So, you guys aren't going to kill me for these chapters but I'm suddenly not sure myself if you are in the next chapter. Im deciding whether or not to continue with the trip or just skip it...
