Chanyeol sat by the river bank.

Cool breeze blowing towards him.

Let the time stand still.

Chanyeol thought as he raised his hands, letting the wind run through his hands.

He left a note behind for the old lady.

He knew he could not stay at a place for too long.

He took out his ipod and looked at the image on the lock screen.

“Baek…”

He looked up again.

He saw kids playing by the river.

Envious.

That was what he felt.

He took out his polaroid and snapped a picture of himself.

*Chik-ki*

The film came out.

Chanyeol took it and started waving it in the air.

He knew if he did that, the image might not turn out good.

But he did not care.

He enjoyed that.

Slowly the image appeared.

Chanyeol smiled sadly.

Right.

He thought as he took out another blu-tack from his bag.

“Where should I paste?”

Chanyeol thought as he looked around.

Finally, he found a bench by the river.

There.

He thought.

He ran down the slope, towards the bench.

He squatted right infront of it and paste the photo beneath it.

And he smiled.

At least he left traces behind.

That was what Chanyeol thought.

He picked up his bag and set off.

“Another place!”

He said cheerful.

But deep down he knew there was no place for him to go back anymore.

The sea.

Waves crashing.

Chanyeol sat down by the stone.

He plugged in his earpiece as he looked for the particular song in his ipod.

“Nell – Cliff Parade.”

The perfect song.

The truth was, Chanyeol had actually sent a few polaroids of himself at that particular place back home.

It was not for them to find him.

‘Cause, he had written “Not to find me” on every envelope.

All he wanted was to let them know, he was actually fine.

He wanted to spend the last moments by himself.

“The moment it departed from my lips those words became clotted”

Tears welled up in his eyes as he listened to those lyrics.

“Impoverished truth, mingled and entwined.”

Chanyeol had his palms covering his face.

He could not help but to cry.

“Why me? Why?”

Chanyeol sobbed.

“It was my salvation and yet a different death”

“ARGH!”

Chanyeol bawled.

The pain was as if engulfing him.

He felt he could not get out of it.

No, the truth was, he could not get out of it.

It was already finalized.

He will be dying soon.

“Let it crash”                                  

“Baek…”

Chanyeol yelled towards the sea, with his hands clutching his shirt by the chest.

“BAEK!”

“Let it crash….”

“Let it crash….”

tbh, i wrote this first half while listening to exo - beautiful 

and the next half, nell - cliff parade.

well, i can't really describe how i feel while writing this.

i tried putting myself into chanyeol's shoes,

and the sadness in chanyeol is actually unbearable for me too.
