- Days after Kyuhyun and _______’s reunion in Seoul -  

 

“Kyuhyun-shi, If you had the choice to change or pick a new wife partner for We Got Married, who would you choose?” Shindong asked Kyuhyun since the maknae of the group visited his radio show.

“Hmmm…maybe Kim Tae Hee or Jun Ji Hyun since they are my ideal girls. Wonder Girl’s Hye Lim would be okay with me too since she did express that she liked me before.” Kyuhyun answered before laughing out of embarrassment.

“You know, I have a feeling that Kyuhyun-shi and ________-shi won’t be in good terms the next time they shoot for We Got Married.” Gyuri said after cueing in a bunch of radio commercials.

“Why do you say that?” Kyuhyun curiously asked.

“Obviously Kyuhyun-shi, you still don’t know a girl’s heart.” 

“Huh? What do you mean?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.” She answered back cryptically, leaving Kyuhyun confused with her words.

 

And true to Gyuri’s words, Kyuhyun noticed how ______ acted distant towards him when they met to shoot We Got Married days after.

_______ was able to listen to ShimShimTapa the night that Kyuhyun mentioned who he would replace her with. He didn’t have to think hard and long before answering.

_______ somewhat felt hurt about that even though she tried hard to push those kinds of thoughts away.

“Hey…are you okay?” Kyuhyun asked ______ as he noticed the change from her bubbly personality to a reserved one.

________ just nodded and showed a faint smile.

“Let’s just read what our mission for today is, shall we?” ______ changed the topic and got up from the couch. She walked towards the pink mailbox that was near their door and got the pink envelope that was inside it.

She sat down on the couch again, obviously leaving a big gap between her and Kyuhyun. _______ handed Kyuhyun the mission envelope and let him read it alone, which was very different from how they usually read the missions together.

 

‘Today is the housewarming party. Invite friends and make memories.’

 

“Wow. We have to tell people to come here on such short notice.” Kyuhyun commented after he read what was on the card.

“Hmm…what should I cook for them or should we just buy food? Or maybe we can just ask them each to bring food to share, like a potluck party.” _______ instinctively thought on how they should feed their guests first.

“Well we should call them first and ask who are free to come over so we will know if we have time to prepare.” Kyuhyun wisely suggested.

Of course Kyuhyun called his group members first and asked who were available on such short notice. Everyone gave Kyuhyun unsure answers so he couldn’t really confirm who will be able to go, or if there are actually people that will be able to come as his guests.

“Their answers could only be yes or no. It’s just easy as that. Why couldn’t they answer me straight?” Kyuhyun muttered, obviously he was frustrated at his Super Junior hyungs.

_______ on the other hand didn’t have any problems contacting her close friends. Park Shin Hye and Hyunah were able to insert her sudden invitation into their schedule for the day.

‘I need to have someone on my side.’ Kyuhyun thought as he realized the position he may in when the girls might suddenly attack him with questions or order him around.

Kyuhyun’s hands worked fast as he sent a group message to his group members and even included  almost all of the active artists from SME, yes he was starting to look desperate.

 

“Hmm…what should we serve them? Ooh maybe we can have mandu (dumplings), fried chicken and BBQ wings delivered. Then I can cook Japchae and potato vegetable pancakes.” _______ was already thinking of what food they can feed their guests. She won’t be able to have a lot of time to cook now and just wanted to prepare a good and filling meal. 

Kyuhyun wasn’t suggesting anything and so when _______ glanced at him to see what he was up to, she saw him still staring…almost glaring at his phone.

 

- 2 hours later -

 

Kyuhyun just finished paying the delivery guy and got the four boxes of chicken plus dumpling orders from him.

“________, do you want me to put these on the table already?” Kyuhyun asked as he walked towards the kitchen.

________ was just about to finish up cooking when Kyuhyun asked her what he will do.

“Uhm…put it on the kitchen counter because I still need to transfer them. I’ll be plating the food so that it would look like we really worked hard on these and not only on the side dishes.” ______ told Kyuhyun as she laughed at her attempt of making the food look more presentable and attractive, as if it was them who cooked everything.

The couple didn’t forget about the staff of We Got Married and so they also ordered and cooked extra dishes so they too could eat with them.

 

Kyuhyun was about to pour himself a glass of water when suddenly the doorbell rang again. It meant that their first guest was here.

Kyuhyun hoped dearly that it would be his guest that is waiting on the other end of the door.

“Oh…brother-in-law, annyeong haseyo.” Hyuna greeted Kyuhyun as they met for the first after he became _______’s ‘husband’.

Kyuhyun formally greeted Hyuna back before welcoming her inside their home.

“Unnie!” Hyuna cheerfully shouted as soon as she saw _______ still being a bit busy in the kitchen.

“Wow. Did you cook all of these?” Hyuna asked when she saw the plates filled with food.

“Well…almost all of them.” _______ replied, not really saying which she did and did not do.

Kyuhyun joined the two girls and asked _______ if she needed anymore help.

“Oh yeah, the food is ready. You can start transferring these on the table already.” _______ told Kyuhyun as she handed him the bowls of side dishes first.

“You should’ve let Kyuhyun oppa cook. It’s a new generation unnie, men are starting to be famous for being in the kitchen now. It will make them look more charming.” Hyuna stated when Kyuhyun turned his back on them. Kyuhyun heard Hyuna’s comment and thought to himself ‘Oh God please let someone on my side show up.’ He didn’t want to look small nor feel intimidated in front of _______ and her friends. He knew how girls can be when they’re judging or questioning a guy.

The doorbell rang again and Kyuhyun brisk walked towards door.

“YES!! Thank you for coming!!” Kyuhyun couldn’t help but to celebrate since he now has people that can back him up and be his support system.

Kibum, Heechul and Changmin showed up together, it was as if they planned to scare and surprise Kyuhyun with their sudden appearance.

The guys greeted Hyuna and _______ who were still gossiping in the kitchen.

Heechul couldn’t help but greet Hyuna with doing a dance from 4 minute’s ‘Mirror Mirror’. The girls giggled at Heechul’s playful nature.

 Kyuhyun then toured his friends around the apartment he shares with ______.

“You two look good together.” Kibum said as he picked up the small picture frame that was on the side table of the bed. The photo on it showed Kyuhyun and _______ sitting next to each other and smiling happily. The photo was actually just taken last week after _______ scared the guys with her ‘attempt’ to kidnap them.

After showing the guys around, Kyuhyun led them back to where the food were set up and asked them to sit on the floor since they were about to eat already.

Kyuhyun was getting the drinks from the fridge when the doorbell rang yet again. This time, it was _______ and Hyuna who walked towards the door.

Park Shin Hye finally arrived and it was _______’s turn to introduce her to the guys who were already there.

“Almost paradise…” Heechul suddenly broke out into a song.

“Different drama hyung.” Changmin told Heechul and reminded him of which drama Shin Hye started in.

“Oh right Go Mi Nam! I was thinking of Boys Over Flowers. I must be going crazy. But hey, don’t you girls think that I suit both shows since my looks can be compared to the beauty of a flower.” Heechul made everyone laugh with that self-praising statement.

After that, everyone settled down around the table and started eating.

They mixed in light, casual topics for their conversation as they tried to get to know each other.

“Kyuhyun-shi, If given the option, would you really want to change your partner in We Got Married?” Shin Hye suddenly asked. _______ choked on the water that she was drinking when Shin Hye brought that up. Shin Hye didn’t only hear that story from ________, but she also read that on some websites that wrote about his answer in the radio interview, albeit exaggerating the matter. One article was titled ‘Cho Kyuhyun wants to change his wife.’

“Yeah Kyuhyun, I heard about that too.” Kibum spoke as everyone’s attention now was focused on him.

And then the realization hit Kyuhyun. ‘So that’s why she was acting like that earlier.’ Kyuhyun thought as linked Gyuri’s words to _______’s reaction.

“Of course I wouldn’t. I’m lucky I got _______ by my side.” Kyuhyun tried to save himself with that almost-cheesy answer.

_______ almost scoffed when she heard that but she kept her cool composure. She didn’t want to look like she was really affected by that statement of his.

She just showed a smile and changed the topic by asking their guests “How about you guys, who would you want to ‘get married’ with?”

Everyone bashfully answered with their celebrity crushes and ideal girls / guys.

 

The housewarming party ended on a good note. Everyone had fun at the small and somewhat random get-together hosted by the newlyweds.

_______ left right after her backroom interview, not giving Kyuhyun the chance to talk to her before he went in for his own interview. They usually wait for each other to finish before leaving the set so that they could wish each other to drive home safely or just to casually chat a little bit more.

 

Upon reaching home, Kyuhyun told his hyungs about his day. He asked for their opinion regarding his current situation with ______ as well.

All of them shared the same thought. They told him that he shouldn’t have said another woman’s name. He should’ve just said that he wouldn’t choose anyone else to replace her or he wouldn’t continue the show having a different partner or because he already experienced being in the show.

“Oh…wow I didn’t think that something like that could be blown out of proportion.” Kyuhyun said as soon as the guys finished lecturing him.

“Most of the time, girls are sensitive and complicated. Well at least you apologized already so I think things would go back to normal between the two of you soon.” Leeteuk replied, knowing very well how his sister acts up when she has love or guy troubles too.

Kyuhyun looked at them blankly…almost guiltily when they assumed that he apologized.

“You did apologize, right?” Yesung curiously asked Kyuhyun.

Ryeowook did a facepalm when he saw Kyuhyun shook his head in response to Yesung’s question.

“So you already knew that she got offended yet you didn’t say sorry?” Siwon looked at Kyuhyun with a disappointed look.

“Well it isn’t that serious, is it?” Kyuhyun wished that their answer would be in his favor.

“Think about it, if she gave you the cold shoulder then that must mean something right?” Donghae answered back.

“Wow. You’re pretty slow for someone who claims that he’s a genius.” Sungmin honestly expressed. 

"We know you're the evil maknae in the group and all, but really Kyuhyun? You're going to act like that even towards her?" Eunhyuk said after shaking his head from side to side in disapproval of Kyuhyun's insensitive actions.

 

Their words got the maknae thinking, he now understood the consequence of his unthoughtful words.
