The Unexpected Becomes The Expected

I was finallly free. I had lived in a world full surrounded by my rich, demanding father always wishing I would follow him down his path of glory. Then there was my mother, always ignorant of the fact that other people existed besides rich people. Finally there's my evil charming sister who always manages to get me in trouble.

Now, I had finally persuaded my parents into letting me live alone for a while, destined to be out from under their sight. What was even better is that I could find what I wanted to do with my life, without my family interfering and telling me that I already had an inheritance waiting for me.

After I was given permission from my family to move out, cause I needed permission to do everything, I searched for the right apartment, finding one that I really liked. That is how I ended up in front of a rather broken down apartment, in a new car. Instantly, a man caught my eye who was at his own car, staring at me.

I was about to say something about him staring at me, but that is when he turned away to enter the apartment building. I turned my car off and grabbed my apartment key. I didn't have that much to carry up, and decided quickly that I would just go look at my apartment again, and move my stuff in later.

I managed to get to the elevator just in time to stick my hand through the closing doors. The man that had been staring at me earlier was standing inside the elevator. I cleared my throat and walked into the elevator. I debated for a second whether I should tell the other man I was going to level nine or to just press the button. I decided on the second option, my heartbeat speeding up quickly when our fingers touched briefly.
