The next day we also went to an elegant restaurant for dinner. After a nice and peaceful dinner, we went out and walked towards a black fancy car. The owner of the car got out of it when I knew he had seen us. He was really handsome and had a really nice smile, the one that can make the girls faint.

 

 

-Hey- he greeted me –I’m Xiah Junsu- he smiled widely at me, making me a little nervous

 

 

-Hello, I’m Kim Ryeowook- I said and Kyu fake-coughed a ‘Cho-Kim’

 

 

-I know that. You husband here- he pointed Kyu- Had talked me a lot of nice things about you- I looked confused at Kyu and giggled in confusion. The guy must have noticed my confusion because he laughed –I thought so. Let me introduce me the right way. I’m Xiah Junsu, Kyuhyun’s cousin. I work as a dancer in a very important label- I got amazed and Kyu looked a little uncomfortable –Ok love birds, get in the car. I’ll drive you back to the hotel- We got in the car and Junsu drove us back to the hotel. We got to the hotel and said good bye to Junsu before entering the hotel.

 

We walked to the elevator and Kyu froze when the doors of it opened. He had told me he was a ‘little’ claustrophobic in the past, but he had overcome that (right…)

 

 

-Yeobo, are you ok? – I asked entering the elevator

 

 

-Y… Yes- he said following me in a slow motion

 

 

-Kyu, you don’t have to come if you don’t want to but… it’s in the 17^th floor-

 

 

-You’re right, those are 17 floors, not 40-

 

 

-Are you going to leave me alone? – I raised a brow

 

 

-Unless you want me to die in there- I rolled my eyes before pulling him in. The doors closed –NO WAIT! – He freaked out

 

 

-Kyu calm down! - I said and hugged him, action that made him calm down a little, but he still moved in an uncomfortable way until the doors of the elevator finally opened. He sighed in relief –You’re over reacting-

 

 

-But what if I died… what if the elevator fell the 17 floors down with both of us inside… what if the oxygen wasn’t enough and we died- he rushed outside it and I giggled at his behavior. When I reached the room, I noticed he had closed the door, so I knocked.

 

 

-Who is it? – I heard he asked from inside

 

 

-The Chinese embassy- I teased with my broken Chinese

 

 

-Oh! Wait a second- He said also with a broken Chinese. He opened the door and pecked my lips. I giggled and he picked me up bridal style for entering the room and throwing me on the bed afterwards…

 

 

 6 days passed through just like that; we would go out and have dinner and went back to the hotel for having a so-not-innocent night, talking about our future family in some other moment.

 

We both wanted to adopt and raise a kid, and we would start looking for one at the moment we headed back to Korea.

 

 

I pulled my suitcase through the hallway and sighed. I didn’t want to leave Paris, at least not now… it was an awesome City. When night fell it was a magical, wonderful place. The lights were beautiful; they gave a special touch to the dark night, colored and flooded the city. The weather was warm ... The Eiffel Tower looked so amazing from the hotel and when Kyu and I ate there I felt complete, like now... But we needed to go back to Korea since both of us wanted to see out families. We went to the airport and in the plane that would take us back home…

 

 

When we go to his house, we could hear screams coming from inside the house. “Heechul” I thought. We didn’t want to interrupt, but we needed to enter the house. We entered and everybody looked at us. Heechul was looking at Leeteuk with a death gaze –and vice versa- what made me think that they were having a really loud ‘conversation’

 

 

-Perfect- Heechul said

 

 

-Hello love birds! – Leeteuk greeted us

 

 

-Hello- I said

 

 

-How was your honeymoon- Heesica asked… nervous

 

 

-Excellent- I said smiling

 

 

-What happened? – Both Kyu and I asked at the same time

 

 

-Heechul… he’s an ! – Yelled Leeteuk

 

 

-Enough! – Heesica said

 

 

-But he is! He can’t do this to them! – Leeteuk said desperate

 

 

-Do what to whom? – Kyu asked and he got ignored

 

 

-It would be better if they don’t find out-

 

 

-BUT…- Leeteuk got closer to Heechul –He’s your brother and if he’s happy, the WHOLE ‘family’ is- He said and walked away more than angry

 

 

-What happened? – I asked

 

 

-Nothing Wookie, it’s just a problem between those two- Heesica said and hugged me. GREAT! Maybe it was my imagination or something. True Heechul was the devil himself but I wouldn’t find him capable of something horrible, right? –Wookie, can you leave me alone with Kyu for a moment please? –

 

 

-Sure- I smiled and started going upstairs. I got to Kyu’s room and wanted to text Yesung, but I couldn’t find my cell phone. –Maybe its downstairs- I told myself and walked to the stairs, but before I could even go down them, I heard a conversation.

 

 

-But Heechul? Why HER! - It was Kyuhyun’s voice

 

 

-I don’t know… he must be planning something- Heesica’s voice replied.

 

 

-But not HER! Wookie would get really angry if he sees her-

 

 

-But he’s your brother. What if he’s in love? –

 

 

-We’re talking about the same Heechul right? The same that dated 2 girls at the same time and after ing the both of them he left them? – Kyu desperate said

 

 

-But it happened and you got the right to date Ryeowook; and if I recall right, you were his babysitter-

 

 

-But Heechul is… HEECHUL! – He sighed –How did they meet? –

 

 

-Heechul said they met at the mall- The bell rang –Please Kyu, don’t treat her bad, don’t say her anything bad, don’t kick her out or do anything bad to her-

 

 

-Fine but what about Wookie? You know how he is-

 

 

-Well… he would have to contain himself- She opened the door and a annoying high-pitched voice sounded

 

 

-Hello Heesica! – I wanted to know the mysterious person they were talking about so I went downstairs. I found myself in front of the devil herself. Brown curly hair and stick looks… Krystal… KRYSTAL!

 

 

-what the hell are you doing here! – I yelled to her

 

 

-What? You don’t know? – She grinded

 

 

-Answer the question-

 

 

-I’m dating Heechul- WHAT?! Heechul and Krystal… both of them were the devil themselves so… yeah

 

 

-What? – I asked confused

 

 

-What? You plan to take him away from me too? –

 

 

-Shut up you , I didn’t take anyone away from you-

 

 

-You’re the , you spoiled kid-

 

 

-Ryeowook! – Heesica said surprised at my vocabulary

 

 

-I’m sorry Heesica… I…- I said ashamed –but… AHH! – I said and ran upstairs. I didn’t want to see at that girls face, or I’ll make something horrible to her. Kyu followed me and I shut the door on his face.

 

 

-Wookie please open- He knocked

 

 

-NO! Leave me alone! – I said

 

 

-Come on! Open! – He said and I opened. He hugged me –What happened? –

 

 

-Like you didn’t know-

 

 

-But… Wookie I don’t want her here either-

 

 

-Then kick her out-

 

 

-I can’t. She’s dating Heechul even if we like it or not-

 

 

-But didn’t you remember she tried to tear us apart?! DAMN! This is your fault! – He broke the hug

 

 

-Wait… what? –

 

 

-Nothing-

 

 

-What? What are you saying Ryeowook? –

 

 

-Nothing- I said walking to the door, but he pushed me against the wall and kissed my lips.

 

 

-Nothing? – He whispered sensually in my ear. He knew he would get to my side in an easier way when I was angry. But not this time.

 

 

-N.O.T.H.I.N.G. - I said like I was talking to an idiot

 

 

-Wookie listen to me. I would never, I say NEVER change you for her- he kissed my lips in the way that he knew he would get me… and yeah, he got to my side…

 

 

 

I was trying to sleep but some constant noises wouldn’t let me. I saw Kyu wasn’t next to me so I decided to get dressed –considering I was in our bed- and go downstairs, but I stopped halfway when I heard screams.

 

 

-But not HER! – Kyu yelled

 

 

-You’re already married! Krystal is MY girlfriend! – Heechul yelled back

 

 

-Come on Heechul, you would never fall in love and bring her home either! – Kyu said –You must be planning something-

 

 

-If you don’t like it, you can leave-

 

 

-I really shouldn’t have trusted Wookie to you- Kyu said –Just tell me something, you still like Wookie? –

 

 

-What if I say yes? – Heechul replied –I fantasize with him all the time, I think he’s mine and not yours and I him every night and not you- Kyuhyun couldn’t take it anymore. He despised the idea of me being with someone else that was not him. He punched his dongsaeng in the face. This was going out of control. I ran downstairs and tried to tear them apart since Heechul was fighting back. This made me remember the only time I saw Kyu like this.

 

 

 

Flashback

 

 

–YESUNG! – I yelled when I saw Yesung punching Kyuhyun in the face. Kyuhyun cleaned the blood that was pouring out of his mouth with the back of his hands. –STOP IT! – I yelled when I saw now Kyuhyun hitting Yesung.

 

Everything was happening so fast… I tried to separate them but it was useless. One of them always pushed me away.

 

 

 

-YESUNG! YOU HIT HIM ONE MORE TIME AND I WON’T TALK TO YOU ANYMORE! – I yelled at him and he looked at me. His face was full of bruises and he was bleeding from his nose and mouth; so as Kyuhyun.

 

 

 

-I can’t let him getting away with this- he said angrily

 

 

 

-I already told you is allergy! – I stepped in between them one more time. –Please leave- I begged him again

 

 

 

-You know I love you- He gave up. He hugged me and kissed my cheek before he looked at Kyuhyun again and left. I covered my face with my hands, I felt terrible.

I hugged Kyu from behind and pulled him away from Heechul. He stopped and wiped away some blood he had under his lip

 

 

-You disgust me! – Kyu yelled at him and turned around for hugging me –I’m sorry- He said

 

 

-Don’t be… I heard everything- I death-gazed Heechul and he left the room, angry.

 

 

-I know… but I don’t like him messing up with the guy I love and with the one I’m having a family with- We’ve been married for 2 weeks and we’ve been just started looking for a kid to adopt. He kissed me breathlessly and went back to sleep.

 

 

A month and a half passed through and their fights and arguing were only just getting worse each time… and just for making it worse, they were taking too long in the Adoption Center for calling us. It was affecting me and I feared that they would reject us for being a gay couple; Kyu noticed it and he used to hug me and tell me it was ok. But I wasn’t sure, so I decided to go by myself and get the verdict.

 

 

 

“I’m at work. We’ll go together to the Center for the results at 6 ok? Saranghae Yeobo” I read Kyu’s text message.

 

 

I felt scared for some reason. What if we don’t get the permission? Would he leave me or change me for a girl? He had dreamed his whole life of having a family, but me being a guy I couldn’t, and there was a possibility of not getting the adoption of a kid.

 

 

6:30 and Kyu’s still at work. I got anxious enough so I called a cab and went to the Adoption Center by myself.

 

 

I entered and went straight to the reception, where a girl was filing some papers.

 

 

-Good evening- I said politely

 

 

-What can I do for you? – She asked

 

 

-I’m here for getting some parenting test results-

 

 

-sure, what’s your name? –

 

 

-Kim Ryeowook- she nodded and opened a drawer, taking out a file with my name written on it.

 

 

-Kim Ryeowook and Cho Kyuhyun? – She asked and I nodded. –Here- she said giving me the file

 

 

-Thank you- I said and bowed politely before leaving.

 

 

I walked to the nearest park and sat on a bench. I took a deep breath and opened the file…

 

 

No, no, NO! WHY?! Tears started to roll down my cheeks. In a mixture of anger and deep sadness, I creased the paper and covered my face before started crying.

 

 

What did the paper say?

 

 

Basically, gay couples were cataloged at ‘bad role model for the kids’ so the possibilities of a gay couple to adopt a kid were under the 1%. What would Kyu do about this? KYU! When he finds out he would leave me for sure. He was a handsome man and with a blink he would have 5 girls drooling for him. At least those girls would be capable of giving Kyu the thing he wanted… his own kids…

 

 

My cell phone wouldn’t stop ringing, but I couldn’t talk to him yet. If I did, I would start crying worse than ever. But I needed to tell him, so he could leave me ASAP. I took a deep breath and answered the phone…
