Chapter 3: An uninvited guest

Hae’s POV:

“You know him!?” I ask my parents shocked.

They nod their heads and lower their weapons.

“Come in, come in Byunghun.” My mom says gesturing to come inside.

What is she doing!? She can't let a creepy stalker in the house!

“Mom don’t let the creep come inside!” I yell at her trying to shove him back.

My mom whacks my head. “Don’t call our guest that! Hae where are your manners?”

I look at L.Joe and see him smirk at me.

Why that little…

“Anyway dinners ready! Come let’s go!” my mom says pushing L.Joe and I into the dining room.

“B-but—“ I begin to ay but my mom interrupts “No buts! Let’s go have dinner!”

At dinner we eat in an awkward silence until my mom decides to break it and ask us how our day was.

“Uhh…Good…” I say.

She didn’t realize I was late because of detention?

“Oh and Hae why were you late today?”

Oh crap…

 I hear L.Joe chuckle and I kick him from underneath the table.

“Ow!" he says, holding his leg in pain, making me smirk in satisfaction.

Serves you right!

“Something wrong?” asks my mom.

“Oh nothing…” L.Joe says giving me a glare and a kick under the table. Which I ignore, even though it felt like my leg was on fire.

He kicks hard.

“So I see you two are getting along nicely.” My mom says smiling.

She couldn’t be more wrong.

 But I just nod my head.

My mom smiles “That’s good! Because L.Joe’s parents are good friends of ours and they asked us to take care of him for the year.”

I choke on the chicken I was eating.

WHAT!? NO!!!

L.Joe slaps me hard very hard on the back. “

You okay?” he asks pretending to look worried.

“Yep I’m fine.” I say, "Thanks for being so nice and asking if I was okay." I say sarcastically.

“Aww look at them!” my mom says happily.

Why is she getting all worked up!?

As L.Joe and I were putting the dishes away my mom came up to us. “Oh and dear you’ll have to share a room with L.Joe!” I nearly drop a dish.

“What!? Mom I’m a girl! He’s a boy!” I shout loudly.

“Don’t worry I trust you two!” she says smiling. 

Unbelieveable!

 “He can sleep on the couch!” I say trying to reason with her.

Which gets me another whack from my mom. “Hey be polite!” she says sternly.

“But mom!” I whine.
