Chapter 21: Cheating And An Indirect Kiss!
Hae's POV:

Shoot! "Uhh...Well... Nice weather we're having huh..." I say trying to lighten up the mood.

"I said where.were.you!?" L.Joe says glaring at me. Like he even cares!

"I've been worried sick! And so has your mom!" Luka says.

Shoot my mom! "She says your grounded for 2 weeks." Luka says.

I feel my shoulders deflate. "I finally have some fun and then I get grounded! Great!" I say sarcastically as I push past the two and head upstairs.

"Hey! I'm not done talking here!" L.Joe says yelling following me up the stairs.


"Well I am! I'm tired!" I yelled back entering OUR room.

"Well...I'll just leave you two...alone..." Luka says waving goodbye and leaving.

"Look Hae I--I mean Luka and your mother  were so worried! They deserve an explanation!" L.Joe says.

"Why does it matter? Why do I matter? All you care about is stupid Lindsey!" I yell angrily at him as I pull the covers over my head. Just shut up and leave me alone! Don't act like you care! Don't give me false hopes!

"What? Lindsey? I don't--I mean... well of course I care about her! She's my girlfriend!" my heart breaks a little as he says the word 'girlfriend'.

I hear foot steps walking quietly over to the bed and feel him sit beside me.

"Look Hae." he says in a quiet voice I've never heard him use before. What's he planning?

"I'm sorry for yelling earlier...Look I'll tell your mom that I sent you to do something for me." he says still using this gentle voice.

It's so strange...Seeing this side of L.Joe...the gentle side? I didn't really even know he had one...

"Just please Hae, tell me where you were. I was really...worried...about...you..." he says quietly.

He was worried!? About me!? Why? He's been avoiding me for the longest time! Not that I'm complaining...I really like this side of L.Joe...

"Ok...I was with a friend." I say quietly under the covers.

"What friend? All you have is Luka and he was with me." L.Joe says.
