Chapter 1: Crash

Dear Diary,

On my trip to the northern half of Austri, my plane seemed to have had a malfunction. I crashed in some sort of desert area (without the sand), but I'm fine. Luckily technology is advanced, so I was 100% safe. I wonder, if I had crashed, say, 40 years ago, would I have died? Apparently, planes use to need actual PEOPLE to fly them. Can you believe that? Now they're operated all on their own. Flight, landing, everything.

Anyways, I sent out a flare signal a few minutes ago. Someone should be arriving to help soon. Now I'm going to be late for my appointment, though. I don't remember the last time I visited North Austri. It's hard to immagine North and South Austri use to be ONE continent. And it use to be called "Australia". That's a mouthful.

Dear Diary,

This is weird... I sent out that flare signal almost 10 minutes ago...someone should've found me by now, right? Well, I am in the middle of nowhere, so I can't really complain....I'll wait for a while longer. In the mean time, I'll just enjoy the sun set. It really is beautiful.

Dear Diary,

This is the third diary entry today. But...jeez! I've been waiting for almost 45 minutes! And it's beginning to get dark, too...This is getting ridiculous. I'll send off another flar--

What the?

Just now I saw something fly across the sky. It was dark red and moved incredibly fast... It landed far west of me...Should I go check it out?... It's not like I've got anything better to do. I'll write later.

And scene! Told you this was going to be short! :DD I really like writing in this diary format. ^^ It's also a lot easier to just get straight to the point. (b-v-)b

The girl in the background is the main character. Ruri Scarlet. :3

She's actually a character in an anime called Dogs: Bullets and Carnage. (Naoto Fuyumine) ^^
