She looks at him, wondering if he’s staring back.

There was a knock on her door, a soft one with two seconds in between. He was patient, waiting at the other side of the door for almost three minutes, not saying a word, no traces of complaints. Jinri decided to uncurl from her bed, throwing away the blanket that covered her whole, and took five small steps toward the door. Taemin stood behind it, his head down. He understands.

“I’m sorry.” He muttered softly as he took her shaking hands.

“You don’t have to.” Jinri replied, tears finally escaping from her eyes.

Jinri greeted him with a smile, like the usual. She was writing something, some love notes for him since it’s his birthday the next day. “I told you not to come.” She got find out and somehow Jinri thought this is going to be useless. He already saw the balloons scattered across her bed as well as the jar filled with cheesy notes even Jinri hadn’t thought she would write. But he was special. For him, she can do anything.
