A Video From Me To You

Just For Awhile More

DISCLAIMER:

I don't know if the story on Facebook is real or fake, but please be noted that the vague plot of this story (guy has a mistress, wife had cancer, the 'requirements' for the divorce) does not belong to me- it isn't me who came up with it). However, I do own the memories and others...

WAIT I DON'T OWN KWON JIYONG, DARA PARK and SOHEE. Jirin is mine though.

YAY! Okay, on with the storeh.

[3rd Person's POV]

Dara screamed as the kitchen door slammed to the side, revealing a very angry dragon. His eyes were wild as he stormed towards her and Jaejoong, pushing away any obstacles roughly. A hand grasped Jaejoong's collar before dragging him to stand to face Jiyong.

When he opened his mouth, his words came out as a snarl. "What the are you ing doing here?"

Jaejoong stared back at the livid man calmly and brushed off Jiyong's hands as if they were nothing but a mere insect. "I just came for a chat," he said coolly.

"It didn't seem like 'just a chat' when you tried to touch her under the table!" Clenching his fists angrily, Jiyong tried to stay calm, but a vein continued to throb in his forehead. He could hear the blood rushing through his, and all he could see was red. When he saw another man trying to touch Dara, he just snapped, and rushed forward. He didn't know why, but he felt like bashing the man's skull till it bled. "No wonder you asked me to stay out of my house. You had your boyfriend over!"

Dara gaped. Hadn't they cleared this matter only a few days ago? Jaejoong wasn't her boyfriend!

On the other hand, Jaejoong perked up considerably. "You told him I was your boyfriend?" His hands reached out to grasp hers tenderly. This means he still has a chance!

"I-I," Dara stammered, "Yes! I mean, no! It was just a quarrel with him and I said it on a whim!" Jaejoong smiled at her and squeezed her hands, "It's okay if you like me more now Dara, I'll always be here for you!"

"What? I-" Dara gasped as she was yanked violently from Jaejoong only to land on Jiyong's chest. He cradled her possessively, snarling at the other man in his kitchen. "Were you holding my wife's hands?" He breathed angrily.

"Yea, so what, huh? You gonna do something about it?" Jaejoong retorted as he stood up, back straight, showing a strong front.

"Hell yea, she's my wife, and you no-life better step back before I do some real damage!"

"Like what, huh? Run back to your other woman and ask her to get her daddy to protect you? What makes you think you've got the right?"

"She's my wife so obviously I have the right." Sending him a somewhat smug glance, Jiyong crossed his arms. "Unlike you, who isn't her husband, so BACK THE OUT!"

Still being hugged fiercely to her husband,  Dara sighed and relaxed against him, covering her face with her hands. A peaceful dinner, just to have some relaxing time talking to a friend. There goes the plan.  was rather dry and hoarse from all the screaming she did earlier- which proved to be useless as Jiyong and Jaejoong continued to glare at each other. Their neighbours must be thinking that they had gone crazy.

"You got a bone to pick, man? If I didn't leave to go and further my studies, god knows that Dara won't be in this position right now!"

"What the do mean by that, you ?"

"I meant that if I didn't leave, SHE WOULD BE WITH ME, AND SHE WON'T BE SEEN AS THE USELESS WIFE THROWN AT THE SIDE WHILE HER HUSBAND GOES OFF GALLAVANTING TO SOME OTHER WOMAN, SINCE GOD KNOWS THAT I'LL CHERISH HER, UNLIKE YOU, YOU BASTARD!"

With a roar of outrage, Jiyong pushed her to the side launched himself at his rival, tackling him to the ground. The other man retaliated as well, throwing kicks and punches. Dara peeked through her fingers and groaned loudly, but it was lost in the noise of the men's scuffle. So many cuss words were being exchanged that Dara hoped the neighbours were either deaf, or not at home. When no end seemed to make itself apparent, she decided to step in, and wrapped a small hand around Jiyong's shoulder before jerking him back.

"What the hell are you doing?" He demanded once he saw her. Rolling her eyes at Jiyong in reply, she took a quick look over his 'injuries'. Other than a bleeding nose, he had been lucky. Jaejoong, on the other hand, was a different matter. He had a few horrible bruises decorating his face- no doubt he wouldn't be a pretty picture the next morning.

"Jaejoong, I'm sorry, but I'll have to ask you to leave," Dara whispered apologetically.

"It's fine. I know this evening may not have turned out the way you wanted, but I want you to know that what I said was true," Jaejoong paused at the kitchen door.

"You hold a place in my heart no one can replace." Feeling a little disappointed that his feelings were unrequited, he trudged out to his car.

With that sentence, the door was shut with a gentle click. A faint hum started outside before the sound of tires screeching away started then faded into the distance. Silence surrounded the couple for a moment as Jiyong stood beside Dara awkwardly, not knowing what to say.

"You're a real idiot sometimes, you know that?"

He didn't reply her as he kept his gaze towards the floor.

Sighing, she grasped his chin gently and turned it to face her. His nose continued to bleed slowly. Grabbing him by the shoulders again, she steered him to a chair and pushed him into it before going off to get a cloth.

Jiyong groaned as he clutched his head. I wasn't thinking at all when I attacked the face. He was quite sure that he looked like a complete mess at that instant and wished Dara wasn't around to witness him like that. Clothes wrinkled and messy, hair looking like it went through hell and back, plus a bleeding nose.

Definitely not one of his finer days.

He started when a cold rag pressed to his nose softly, soaking up the blood, applying a small amount of pressure. Dara met his gaze when it travelled up to meet hers, and she smiled softly. "Tilt your head up or down, I don't really know which, so just do whichever that keeps you comfortable."

"I'm sorry, I just overreacted, and..." Jiyong stammered nervously, holding onto the cloth. "I didn't mean to, but when I saw him him with you, and then he held your hand, I just-"

"It's okay, shh..." She hushed him gently and massaged his tense shoulders.

"I was just insecure and all that , which doesn't make sense since I was the one who started this and it's all my fault and all b-"

A finger placed on his lips silenced him as Dara spoke. "I'll always love you, Jiyong. You, and only you, alright? You have to stop getting into so many fights with Jae."

He felt his body sag with guilt as he heard those three words. 'I love you'. He wanted to tell her that he did too, but something held him back. His throat felt tight, and the words refused to make itselves heard, his fists clenching frustratedly. it wasn't fair to her that she showed such unconditional love while he treated her like some used rag.

He would treat her better from now on.

"Besides," Dara continued, oblivious that Jiyong had tuned her out. "I just invited him for a friendly dinner. Just to catch up on things, you know?"

"He used to like you," Jiyong bit out. "And I'm sure his intentions weren't very honourable when he chose to come to our home."

A cloth whacked him on the head. "Don't be stupid."

"You don't know anything." You don't know how he glanced at you when we dated, or how he would touch you and passed it off as casual... "Anyway, it's late. Let's go to bed." Standing up abruptly, he made his way to their bedroom, leaving Dara in the kitchen feeling a tad bit stunned.

"Alright."

Dara turned her back to face the wall awkwardly when Jiyong slipped into the bed, and she kept her breathing calm and steady, hoping he would think she was asleep. He had turned to switch off their bedside lamp, then resumed his staring at her back. She could feel his gaze on her, and she gulped nervously. When he deemed her asleep, he did something that left her awake for the rest of the night.

Warm arms s around her waist to pull her back against a strong chest and a chin secured itself on her head. She felt safe, a feeling she missed when Jiyong was't around anymore. With her head against his chest, she could hear the steady beat of his heart, and it soothed her. His breaths came out rhythmically, blowing strands of her hair as he breathed in deeply.

Wha? Whu? Hah? Dara thought frantically, a jumbled mess in his embrace. Mentally and physically.

I'm so screwed...

*** ***

The bed was slightly cold when she woke up. Dara blinked sleep out of her eyes when she sat up groggily. Needless to say, she hadn't gotten a wink of sleep last night after Jiyong had wound his arms around her so tightly she could feel every single movement he made. That weirdo, Dara scoffed and rolled her eyes. She smiled however, when a scene of Jiyong and his son eating together reached her eyes.

"Good morning Eomma!" Jirin chirped excitedly from his seat. "Appa made pancakes again!"

"Mmmm, okay." As she stood at her place by the door, she suddenly felt her body throb in pain, and she gasped before falling to the ground. "Dara?" Jiyong's worried voice reached her ears. "Are you alright?"

"Y-Yea," she replied shakily. Her tongue felt like it was made of sandpaper and she couldn't help but shiver as her body seemed to chill, her head starting to pound. "I'm fine," she pushed out.

"Okay then." Uncertainty could be detected clearly and a hint of concern seemed to be there. He was worried? For her? "I'm sending Jirin to school, that okay?"

"Yes, no problem, definitely." She laid there on the floor, having no strength to pick herself up. He must think I'm loony again, Dara chuckled darkly to herself and sagged against the cold suface.

Suddenly, warm arms engulfed her and she felt herself being lifted. "Wha-?"

"Relax. It's just me."

Oh. Right. Their agreement.

Her own arms wound around his neck and she pressed herself closer into him. Instead of stiffening and pulling away like he did when they first started this business, he only pulled her closer to his warmth and she grinned softly. Oh Jiyong... If you knew what was happening to me, would you be worried? She thought it was kind of cute the way he got jealous over her when he clearly liked another woman. But that just makes him a womaniser, doesn't it? A snide voice sounded it her head, and she told herself to shut up.

They weren't so awkward anymore. A bit anyways. After a few more practices, she found herself fitting easily into his arms and he, adjusting so that they fit perfectly. Like a puzzle. The first few days had been tough and uncomfortable when they stumbled around each other, not daring to touch the other party. In fact, he held her so far away from his body that one would think she had a contagious disease.

Well, her tumours weren't exactly infectious or anything like that...

Her joy would be shortlived, she realised firmly, and told herself to soak in his warmth as long as she could.

She was pulled out from her thoughts when she felt herself sliding down, her feet touching the sold ground. Blinking confusedly, it took awhile for her to regain focus. By the time she realized what was happening, JIyong was already waving at her with Jirin at his side as they both left.

Dara couldn't help but feel as if she was just standing there, her family slipping further away as her illness became worse.

She had already stopped working, since she was a bit too weak to move and she had some work left to do. Her last words would be when she was alone, no doubt, since Jiyong and Jirin were away during most of the day. Perhaps it was better this way, Jirin wouldn't see her as she faded from consciousness, never to wake again.

Shrugging as if to shake off the horrid thought of her baby suffering, she trudged to the cupboard and unlocked it with her key. A lump formed in as she pulled out her laptop and a few envelopes. She began writing first. She wrote a bit for one letter, before going to the next, then the next, then the next, adding a bit here and there. Where her hand ached and she could write no more, she slipped the letters back into their envelopes.

Opening the lid of her computer, she clicked it to record and she grimaced at her weary and sick look.

Still, she pulled her lips into a smile, and choked back a sob. Things seemed too real for her liking. She was really going to die. Death was the one thing she was afraid of when she was young, when she had hoped with all her might that time would just freeze and she would never grow, never age. Never needing to face the horrors of reality.

"Hey Jiyong, well, here am I again... I wonder if you're gettng sick of this, but there's still a long way more to go. So you have to watch it till the end, okay?" She sniffled back her tears. "You're so stupid."

"Uhuh. You're so stupid. An idiot, that's what you are. Why did you have to get into that stupid fight with Jae? You should know that you're the only one who holds my heart, though I'm not sure if I still have a hold on yours... I don't care if you think this is corny," Dara rolled her eyes at the camera. "You've wedded a Literature student, so this should be considered normal."

"Why do you want to fight with him?! You don't have to prove yourself or anything! You just have to know that you're the only I love. I know Jae has liked me since a long time ago." Dara narrowed her eyes at the camera, trying to pretend it was Jiyong she saw. "I'm not as dense as you make me out to be. But I'm still here aren't I? Even though you cheated on me, I'm still here!"

She breathed in. Oh well...

"I've told you in one of the previous videos right?" Dara leaned towards the laptop. "I have cancer."

A pause to let the information sink in.

"Not many know... Just Jae, Chae, and some select people. Now don't be angry that Jae knows. I just needed someone to support me you know, other than Chae, though I suppose everyone knows now that I'm dead. It's kind of funny to be talking as if I'm dead when I'm not now."

"It's not exactly cancer, I mean, I have a few tumours, and I just found out a few months ago... Or was it a month only? I feel so hazy, and my mind seems to be slowing down. I'm worried and uncomfortable, you know? I'm so used to being all hyper and jumpy that this is getting tiring. Plus, my eyesight's been going down... So is my hearing... But things are still okay I guess. It isn't that bad, but I'm sure it will get worse. Things are getting a bit blurry for me. But you know what will never fade?"

"You. Your face will allways appear when I close my eyes, and I can see every contour of your face, the precious way your eyes seem to glimmer when the sun shines your way. Your soft hair that feels like silk when I run my hands through it, and everything else about you that is worth remembering. Especially the memories. Oh god, we shared so much that they will never be replaced. I'll bring them with me to my next life," A soft smile was directed at the screen aas she closed her eyes and reached forward, as if running her fingers down his face. In her mind that is. "I'll fight if I have to. I cherish them with everything in me, and I'll never, never, let them go."

"But I'm not going to start on them now since I've ranted on for the past few videos."

"I'm going to die, Jiyong. I'm going to leave... This is why I wanted that weird request for you to hold me. I just wanted to feel you around me again. To feel your warmth again. I think I've always known you've been cheating on me with Sohee, you know? It just seemed to bug at me when things between us began to change. But you know what? I really don't mind. When I'm gone, you can remarry, or whatever, as long as you're happy. Maybe I wasn't enough for you, you know?"

"Maybe I wasn't pretty enough, wasn't mature enough. Or maybe I wasn't enough, lord knows how many times you use them against me."

"As long as you're happy, I'm happy too." Dara blinked back her tears and dragged up a smile. "It's kinda sad you know, dying. With the thought that you don't love me anymore. It's like everything's just breaking down for me. You're the most important thing in my life, even more than Jirin. But don't tell him that!" A feeble laugh escaped her, before she started coughing."I don't really know... Hmm..."

"But you mustn't forget me. I swear, if you forget me, I'm going to hunt you down in your next life or something. I wish we could have more time together... but oh well... I never regretted falling in love with you and I'm going to wait for you to meet me again. In another world, another time, another place. I'm probably going to repeat these whole jumble of words in the last video, but I just want to keep saying that, you know?"

"I love you," Dara blurted out a hand covering as her tears began to flow. "I love you so goddamn much, do you know how much you hurt me you jerk!? When I found out that you were cheating on me, do you know how I felt!? I felt inadequate! That I wasn't enough and you had to find someone else to be happy! You jerk"

"IDIOT!"

"PABO!"

"DENSE BAKA!"

"HOW COULD YOU CHEAT ON ME! I gave you everything I had! I gave you Jirin! I gave you my heart, my body, my soul! And what did you do? You threw away years of my love and memories for some girl you met at work! You're INCREDIBLE, YOU KNOW THAT?"

Her fists pounding on the laptop all this while, she tried to force back the flow of her tears. Slowly, her shoulders ceased its shaking, her tears dried up. "You got me really confused when you hugged me close that night. I could actually feel my teenage heart starting to hyperventilate. But I missed it. I missed how you used to hug me every night. It made me feel cherished, loved. You're so cruel you know? You keep giving me mixed signals and I feel so confused and messed up. In fact, I think I'm starting to get bipolar or something. Calm one second, then exploding the next."

Sighing, she glanced at her watch. "You're coming home soon, so I'd better stop the recording now. I'll talk to you again in the next video, okay? Well, tomorrow, since I'm videoing tomorrow again."

"I love you."

With that, she stopped the recording and slid the laptop close before tucking it into its hiding place with the letters, locking it up.

As if on cue, the doorbell rang and she wiped away her tears before scrambling to her feet. She opened the door and beamed happily at Jiyong who stood tiredly in front of her. She was given a peck on her cheek, her eyes wide as he lingered closely. Fighting the urge to blush like a girl meeting her crush, she wrapped her arms around his torso to hug him close. In less than a beat, his own came to engulf her and she almost whimpered before delving into his warm self. I missed you. And I probably will when I'm not here anymore.

See what I said about you confusing me? She said internally towards Jiyong.

"Welcome home Jiyong!"
